  Hi all. Have had my new BB's "BOLD" for a week now (been a curve). Every time I Sync BB to the PC, my image of the homescreen on calendar/message alert tones, ringtones and the BB are all reset to their default settings. Im running windows XP with Outlook 2003 Professional and have BB desktop version 4.6.0.12. And synchronization using the USB cable. I have a memory card of 2 GB on BB with Mode mass storage activated when connected and Media Card Support turned on. I'm doing something wrong? Or is there a flaw with BB or software?

  Yes, it's a pain, but fortunately, I joined another forum and the answer was within two hours, in contrast to this one where after 3 weeks I still didn't have an answer.

  Well, it's not as tragic as one might think... but it's tedious and requires care and attention. I am not really convinced that it's a corrupt... BONE but the process to understand it is basically the same in any case. Let's see... first things first:

  (1) decide what OS you want to install. If your operator has published an updated version, you'd be advised to level because that usually has various fixes and others. You can check your version version supported carriers through this Portal:

  Also, you are not limited to a little your carriers released OS... If another carrier has published something with patches or features you want, you can use it... it takes just a little something (see below).

  (2) make a good inventory of all of your applications module that you got from other sources than the AppWorld. AppWorld apps will fine reinstall... others you need to address, including the necessary activation codes.

  If you have chosen in step 1 above, some other carriers OS package, then insert it between steps 1 and 2 (in the procedure linked here) the deletion of a file named PROVIDER. XML.

  The key to your problem will be causal - since you can not limit any potential cause, I think you really need to be very careful with your apps add-on. I suggest to the foregoing except to provide your addons on your BB. Do slowly, one at a time, leaving perhaps several days or a week between. In this way, you can determine the behavior at startup and therefrom the culprit the app module (assuming causality). If you go through the above OS reloads and immediately put your add-ons, so if the behaviour returns that you have no way of knowing what the cause was... it could have been the OS or one of the Add-ons... you would have no way of knowing for sure.   I have a phone Blackberry Z 10. I need to re set it to factory default settings locks of questions that the phone has now. He started with, a few weeks ago, not allowing me to click on Face Book messages, he would say instead. "this message could not be loaded." My whole face book messages say that if I try to open them now. Then it started not to allow me to send a text messages on. Sometimes he tells me that the message was interepted and I need to restart phone to send the message, it takes sometimes minutes to type in charectors or will only one type in a little at a time in random order. And sometimes the text screen is empty and will not load so I can type any message at all. And yesterday, the size of the screen where it is size and I have to re size it transforms to display icons, (text when it works) or read my mail. SO, there's a lot of things happens with my Z-10 in the last two weeks.

  I tried to restart it by l ' turn off, remove sim card and the battery and wait five minutes. Nothing seems to work so far. Is the toast of phone, or can it be reset?

  [I know I am a "retarded" for even bringing this place, but we'll just go beyond the part and talk about what I really want to know here ]

  My wife and I went to an Android (Bionic) for me and an iPhone (4 s) for her. However, his old phone (Storm 2) has recently been replaced because his former 1 storm went wrong on her... and now, since my father thought finally get something to replace his old (not to mention, broken and unusable) Palm device, we thought we might as well give him the Storm 2 and see if it'll work out for what he wants.

  Here's the deal about my father and his PDA... already has a cell phone, so he won't move up to a smart phone, because he does not want to pay the extra money every month just to get a PDA phone when he probably never really use the data service much and all that.

  He wants a phone just to be a phone, and he also wants a PDA... just for the PDA part.

  So, I thought, very well... If he is not willing to move completely in the modern era, then we can at least give him something he can synchronize with Outlook (it works... I already tried) to have its calendar and contacts with him all the time (which it is not able to do with his simple mobile).

  So what I know is that it's possible, at least in a very limited sense... I have the Storm 2 sync with Outlook.
  However, here's my problem... for a reason, even if the wifi card appears to connect to the wifi here in their home access point, it is not actually get an IP address and can't get out on the internet with the browser integrated into all.

  My question is this...
  Is it because it is not possible (i.e. RIM has configured to disable the card wifi within the unit while there is no mobile phone service connected), or who should run, and I should watch more in the sense of something wrong at the level of the home network?

  The reason why I think that it could be something awkward like that within the device itself, it is my new Android and iPhone of the wife are able to connect to the network wireless home here very well.

  Sorry for such a long thing, goofy needs help, but I thought it is a good starting point. If anyone has ideas and is willing to help, please chime.

  My problem is with my Blackberry Torch 9810 e-mail accounts. I have two accounts and it doesn't seem to work. I tried to access my accounts but now get a login to the screen of Bberry with [Personal Information deleted] ID and ask for password. I never have that in place.   If BB ID is, as you say, new for you, then someone has configured this device with a BBID, and you can or don't want that. BBID is used to help to be sort of a "single sign on" to many things... BIS configuration, BBM, BB Protect email, etc. If you have not created this ID from BB, while you should really do is delete and create a new brand for yourself, that you store the credentials for, as you will need it from time to time (as you do now).

  To remove the unit BBID and then create one for you, you must WIPE totally clean unit... This will make the device as it was brand new, so all the data and the applications that you have installed will be gone.

  As far as I KNOW, in the simplest terms... 9500 is the version of Vodaphone, the 9530 is Verizon.  These two carriers are the only "official" carriers of the storm.

  I tried to install 'Yahoo Go' on my Curve 8310.

  (6) once successful, check the calendar of primary e-mail and make sure that all records are there.

  (7) run synchronization for each category separately until you have all the correct data on the BB.

  (8) to re-create any additional e-mail addresses

  (9) send service directories.

  (10) the BB has now all the calendar entries in the calendar main correct email, with no record in another.

  (11) on the PC, delete the intellisync folder and reconfigure the to 2 Sync Setup Wizard see normal.

  Help help help, I never had so many problems of sync since upgrading my phone from BB to a BB 9700 Bold.  I've been sync without problem, tried yesterday and it get this message:

  Click Cancel to stop the clock, review your options of default service on your device and try to use your service of origin by default since the last time you synchronized.  On your device, click the Options, then the Advanced Options > default Services:

  I checked my default Services and my CICAL CMIME both the same and are unchanged.

  So why is that happening?
