• BlackBerry smartphone accessing password Keeper data using office software

  I recently had a pressure of crack in the LCD screen on my Curve 8310.

  I need to access my passwords stored in password keeper, however given that the LCD is toast, impossible to read anything on the phone.

  I'm waiting on a replacement LCD screen, but need to pass, as soon as POSSIBLE.

  Are there programs to display the program on the pc?

  I tried a solution that actuall work, so I thought I'd post in case anyone else has this same problem.

  I had previously saved data for my Blackberry Curve 8310 using the office management software.

  I downloaded a Simulatr for my Curve 8310 and installed the software.  I found the Simulator to the BlackBerry Smartphone simulators - URL

  Once the program was installed, I ran the program, which shows a picture of the phone.

  I started my office management software.

  Now to back in the Smartphone Simulator

  In the menu, I selected 'USB cable connected' which simulates the connection of the smartphone.

  Once I did this, the office management software prompted me to create settings then phone again.

  Once I implemented this new virtual phone, I restored my backup from the virtual desktop management software to the new.

  I could then use the mouse to go to the password manager and open the program.  It prompted me for my password and all data appeared.

  I don't have 'Outlook' put in place on my PC, or I really like.

  Is it possible to synchronize the password Keeper, Memo pad and the Photo of my current Bold 9700 to my Blackberry Desktop Manager?

  Then I can transfer these items to my curve 9320.

  If you stay at 9320 curve then more easiset way to do this is an Assistant to switch device using Desktop software.

  Or if you want to perform a selective restore to your new 9320 then first do a full backup of your old 9700 using desktop software. Once you have your backup connect your 9320 and run the software, select the device from software > restore > data choose selected since your last backup you did > scroll down the list and select only the password keeper and memo key data in this list, then click on apply.

• BlackBerry Smartphones Facebook app has no icon "favorite places".

  My wife has a BB Torch, and we do not find the "Favorite places" icon on the Ribbon or banner of the Facebook app.  I pressed the menu button and control options, but there is nothing in there.  I tried to check the updates from the front but it was leaving tick check automatically.  GPS location is enabled in system properties.  Any suggestions?

  Remove all instances of Facebook on the device, then do a hard reset. Start App World and empty the cache, then try to install Facebook go to App World.

• BlackBerry Smartphones Facebook - App Notifications and email (fbapp v1.8.0.49)

  Hi all

  Have recently upgraded via the updater for Facebook v1.8.0.49 appworld

  In the previous version when a notification came through Facebook it would make appear an icon on the home screen of facebook and NOT send an email to the email address on blackberry.

  For example, I have an email address BIS set up on my camera (mobileemail.vodafone.net) and also have the blackberry facebook app messaging service enable (checked) in the facebook app and also the "blackberry Smartphone notifcation" checked in the facebook of PC through iexplorer.

  Before only facebook notifications came as the app or facebook knew it was the same address, since the upgrade I now get both an email to my BIS email account and a notification icon appears.

  I change anything in the options.

  (now tried logging in and out, reticking options, etc, nothing)

  Y at - it a new option, or is this a bug of upgrade. The application of face book has only delete the email and now sends to the device?

  Since typing this my wife with the 8520 just told me that she has the same problem.

  Does anyone else have this?

  This isn't a major problem as long as at least I'm getting a nowt rather than email and notification.

  OK, so I've got a blackberry 9300 and I had downloaded app facebook, I tried to update and my phone said that I had to remove the app that I have to update, so I did, but I think it has completely removed fom my camera!   Remove your Facebook app in Options > Advanced Options > Applications.

  Reinstall it from www.blackberry.com/facebook and when running through the Facebook set up the wizard, see if you are now able to connect to your calendar.

  Following my question the downgrade failed, I lost the Facebook app. The problem I have is that I can't download it from App World because the email address I used for PayPal is different from the one I use for my push BB.

  Just to be clear, you are opening your browser and typing "www.blackberry.com/facebook" in there?  I do that and I get redirected to a page on the blackberry.com website has nothing on this subject but a download link for facebook.  No AppWorld, nothing else.

  This may seem like an insulting question, but we have seen problems not resolved due to small misunderstandings like this.  Please confirm that you type exactly this address in your browser.

  So, I've recently updated the v.3.2.0.12 facebook app on my BB Curve 8520 and I seem to have some difficulties to use it since then. It worked absolutely fine this morning, but now when I open the application, it takes too much time to load the news feed and will charge no wall of my friend or mine at all. Right opening chat.   • First thing... Go to the Facebook for BlackBerry > Options > disconnect. Close the application and reopen and reconnect.
  • Second, do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  Scroll to BBM connected Applications and change - delete Facebook as one of connected applications.

  you could try one or more of these ideas
  1, download on app world via Blackberry or PC (try both if does not work)
  2 hard reset (alt + right shift + del)
  3, delete the app and reinstall (it should just pick up the latest version when you reinstall)

  Can anyone help? I upgraded my blackberry for the "BOLD" yesterday and you have downloaded Facebook for the smartphone. I can't find the Facebook icon on my desktop! I thought that perhaps it had not been properly downloaded so I tried it again and got a message saying I already got it. On my old blackberry, I had an icon on my desktop but fails on my new "BOLD". Can anyone help?
