BlackBerry smartphone how to install apps on my bb
I know it's a pretty stupid question, but I am trying to install a new app on my storm. 'S called it stormslider. Stormslider
I downloaded the file and the file type is a .jad file when I go to my bb Desktop Manager and try to add the application, it does not appear to recognize it. I opened the application loader it shows my apps that I have already installed before. But when I click on browse to click on the app it recoginzes only files with a type of file .ali .alx files. If I do something wrong? I'm so lost.
Thank you.
There are 3 important files for installation on a BlackBerry smartphone:
1. the *.cod file. It contains the application and the application's resources.
2. the *.jad file, it is necessary when you install *.cod via the internet connection.
3. the file * .alx, it is necessary when you install an application via the Desktop Manager.
So there must always be a file *.jad *.cod or a *.cod and *.alx together. When you install an application via the Desktop Manager, make sure that the *.cod and the *.alx file are in the same folder.

BlackBerry software failed to install BB link on 2012 R2 server
My iTunes works as a server on a server 2012R2 computer, I thought also to install BB link on this machine. But unfortunately it does not install correctly. Well, he moved up to the point where services must be started:
Trying to install version 1.2.3.56 of the BB link, an error message prompted [start Link Communication Manager (Service of Tunnel RIM) BlackBerry service failed. Make sure you have sufficient privileges to start system services.
Eeven if I am admin of this box, the installation program keeps saying it cannot start services and claiming the user has insufficient rights.
I have not tried the 2012 R2, but it could be similar to the solution that I found on 2008 R2.

Please help me
OK, I can't say enough. But I'm like described KB as a lack of policy is NOT what you have, which means that you have a COMPUTER policy on your device. It's just weird because I've never seen a COMPUTER policy like what you describe, but then of course I have not seen anyone.
So, I think (it's more than that, actually) is that you do indeed have a policy COMPUTER on your device that may well be the reason for the failure of the installation, you encounter.
If it's a working or otherwise associated with certain BES service device, then you need to talk to anyone who provides the BES service on your problem... they control what is the it policy.
If this is not a working device and/or you do not subscribe to any service of BES-level from anyone, then the conjecture is that you have received this camera as previously used, and the previous owner didn't properly clean the it policy, leaving you with a latent policy causing you these problems. To remedy this situation, you must make sure you have a full backup, according to the link in my sig auto on my posts. Then proceed you to this:
- Article ID: KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings
Once finished, your device will be like new again, with nothing on it... No. data, no added applications, etc. If you continue to restore the backup, do not forget that you DO NOT make a simple full restore... restore instead, only those databases that you need (e.g., contacts, calendar, etc.) and more precisely to avoid any database that have nothing to do with BES, business, political, etc. If you restore that contains the it policy, it he will dutifully restore your BB and you will be right where you are now.
Good luck!

BlackBerry smartphone how to install the new language? == >; french
By mistake I delete all my blackBerry Bold 9900 formulations.
Rest than English.
I would add yet another language ==> french example...
In desktop software, I don't have in Applications: "Language and support of entry" to choose...
Hello and welcome to the community!
The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):
(1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.
2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,
(3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed
(4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:
- If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.
- Use this KB to help you choose the good alternative OS to include the language you want:
- Article ID: KB05305 Location of support for BlackBerry smartphones
5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:
- C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
- C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.
6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:
- Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC.
If, during the process of 6a or 6 b, your BB has an error '507', simply unplug the USB of the BB cord and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue. During the process, when it presents you with the screen of the things Application Loader to install on your device, make sure to develop options and select all items that relate to your desired language.
Once the operating system is loaded, you can proceed with the activation of the language you want and restoring your backup (on the device).
If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:
- KB19915 How to perform a clean reload of the smartphone BlackBerry using BlackBerry Desktop Software application software
Good luck and let us know!

The microSD is corrupted (8gig) and not readable on Blackberry - using Blackberry Bold 9790. Copied the files to the Windows laptop using the SD card, but cannot open them. Majority are photos and videos. FILE0000. CH, FILE0001. CH... FILE0010.CH. What are the steps to convert to format for recovery of. CH files on laptop?
These are files corrupted, made from a checkdisk utility. You can usually convert them to what whatever and I usually just delete them.

BlackBerry Smartphones BB Curve install software Desktop fails
Op Sys is Vista and error message is error 2738. Could not access VBScript Runtime for custom action. Download messages even without worrying is a typical or custom installation.
When I visited the site of M/S by technology services script 5.6 is for XP and 2000.
Really appreciate if someone can tell me what is the solution for Vista 32 bit system?
Thank you
First of all, I want to thank those who have responded and tried to help me.
I followed some of the Adviser, had no improvement and so decided to try my pc manufacturer tech support.
It was a good thing because the problem I reported re error 2738 is not unique BB and was fixed within 45 minutes by pc support.
I did go to my computer and open the cd drive and manually launch the installation as an administrator instead of using automatic execution. I don't know if this really helped.
Installation was incredibly slow. This was particularly true for the section of Roxio, which seemed to stall several times. The installation had probably 90 minutes.
The good news, the installation was successful, and now I have the Desktop Manager.

I would like to see/transfer files to my PRIV connected via USB to my PC. Why is it so difficult?

BlackBerry Smartphones Can I install a firmware of Rogers in a Mobilicity unlocked BlackBerry?
Can I install a firmware of Rogers in a Mobilicity unlocked BlackBerry? I use the phone with my card SIM of Rogers.
Hi sasikiran96
Yes, if you want you can use it, but after installing this OS on your PC, you will need to remove these files from the SELLER. Two or three SUPPLIERS. XML is maybe there, location of these suppliers. The XML files can be found here:
- C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
- C:\Users\Windows UserName\AppData\Roaming\Research in Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML.
If you need assistance more let us know.

BlackBerry smartphones, what is a Jad file for?
I downloaded Weatherbug: http://weather.weatherbug.com/mobile/blackberrystorm.html
Who puts a file Jad on my PC. What I do with it? The application loader is not recognize it.
Also I went to this page on my Storm, but the ability to upload isn't there.
HI and welcome to the forums,
If I remember correctly, the simple explanation is that the JAD is a "pointer" to the POT that is the effective application of the OTA.
Point your browser Strom http://blackberry.weatherbug.com/storm/storm.jad .
This will allow you to install Over the Air
Thank you

I followed the instructions to download and install the BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.5 and the BlackBerry Device Software 4.5 for BlackBerry 8310. This has been done correctly and that the installation was successful.
When I opened the Desktop Manager to install the software on the phone, there is no software to install.
It was installed on my computer, but might not be installed on the phone. The software appears in the list of installed programs on the install and uninstall Manager in the control panel of the computer, but does not appear in the Office Manager must be installed.
Should what steps I follow?Close the Desktop Manager.
Go to the folder: C:\Program Files\Common Research In Motion\Apploader
and delete the Vendor.xml file
Now connect the device and run the BB Desktop Manager.
