  Good news, there is an easy way to do it.  Just go to your e-mail folder and press the BB Menu key and select Email compose (I think that you who have already down).  Then when it asks for which she sent, simply type the name of the contact (for example for address of John Smith, just start typing John Smith in the To: line).  This should automatically start registration contacts after the first few letters of one or two.  You can then simply select the contact you want to send and it will go to this person.  If you have more than one e-mail address listed for that person, it pop up and ask what email address you want to send it to.

  Once you've done that, the rest should be a breeze!

  Hello

  I use my BB torch for a year with a unique email address and all calendar items are attached to this email.

  Having a new job, I have a new email address (+ private) and want to set the new email as default for the calendar (required for the solicitation process). I can choose the new email for each new event but... a defect would be easier...

  As I don't want to remove all the old calendar events I really hesitated before deleting the old email address.

  Is there a way to set the default address to use for the calendar or delete an old email address without deleting the attached calendar items?

  Hey, Fred!  Welcome to the forums!

  On your device, go to Options > device > advanced system settings > default Services.  Change the setting CICAL (calendar) to the address that you want to use, press the ESC key and save your changes.  It will be by default all your new entries to the new email address.  You can do the same for your e-mail address (CMIME) so, if you wish.

  I suggest that you clear the cache of the AppWorld application.

  For legacy devices (pre-BB10):

  1. open the App World

  2. go to my world

  3. follow one (and only one!) of these steps:

  3. for the BB keyboard-oriented - hold down the ALT key and press on, in the sequence R, then S, then T

  3B. for touch screen only BBs - hold the num-lock (! 123 button) so that it hangs and then press on, in the sequence 3, then 4, then)

  3 c for the most recent (e, g., OS6 and 7) BB s, see this KB:

  4 AppWorld must close.

  5. If your BB locks after issuing clear cache, do a battery pull reboot

  6. return to AppWorld/MyWorld (it can be slow, while it re - sync). .

  If (4) stage arrives not as described, then the empty the cache failed.

  For BB10 devices:

  When you write an email on your BB, you write the first letter of your contact and you will have all your contact with this letter, but in my case for the letter "S", I have:

  Open your Messages folder on the torch.

  Press the Menu (the BlackBerry logo button), then choose Options.

  Now, choose General Options.

  Scroll down to "see the recent contacts when writing E-mail and who goes out.»

  Now, your torch will ONLY contacts from the address book, and not addresses you have sent or received that are not saved in your address book.

  Is this what you need?

  This database of recent contacts is not something that edit you.

  When I'm on a Web site, when I try to use the e-mail address provided in the contact section of the website whatever, I'm on, as soon as I click on the link to contact this person or persons, it will immediately move to Google Chrome, rather than continue to use Firefox, even though I have Firefox set as my default browser.

  Someone suggested that I go to my control panel and make sure that Firefox is selected, I went there to do this, set it as default and checked what it says under Chrome while I was there for. He said Chrome I have 1 default on 20. I went to see what it was. He has access to HTML, or whatever that one is (I can go back and get the full name if necessary) why would they automatically this default value assigned to them? I could not not - select this option for Chrome, it was not possible to for change, it is mandatory?

• BlackBerry Smartphones adding pop3 e-mail is not an option?

  I just bought a new 8310 on eBay because my last one had fallen into the water and wound up being cheaper for me. The phone is new (as far as I can tell) and shows no sigs usage, at all. I'm having a problem well and hope someone could me the tsar in the right direction. I can't add any email accounts other them those a blackberry server. I remember that my last blackberry offered three options under Configuration of E-mail:

  1. I want to use a professional email with a Blackberry server account
  2. I want the configuration of e-mail skp
  3. I want to add a... (I don't remember the exact phrase, but this was a non-blackberry/pop3 e-mail accounts)

  The third option does not exist for me, on this phone. I am able to connect to the internet and make calls but I can't get emails.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  I wanted to share the resolution to my problem with everyone. I do not call AT & T and let them know that I had phones. Once I have read the info on my phone and reset it, I could add my e-mail address. I am that mark it as resolved.

Click Setup mail accounts, then other then entered the correct address and the correct password. Received message 'invalid address or password '.   TCC - I THANK YOU first to respond to my situation and the second to be ON - it appears that you are an expert on the RIM! That was the problem - integration. Apparently my Blackberry account 'forgotten' about my domain name and had to be reinstated. I discovered by obtaining technical support for my carrier, AT & T and when they could not understand why the e-mail accounts could not be created, they transferred me to RIM. The first level of technology was also confused, but Nick and then of the immediately higher level of tech told me exactly what you have written here - same problem, same solution. CptS, thank you!

  Usually the seller (Vodaphone in this case) switch them when you buy the unit. I Sue this option first.

  If you use the same SIM which was in the Nokia try the following:

  Import contacts from the SIM card to your contact list

  You have the sync wireless enabled for contacts?  Try to uncheck that then tries to synchronize the backup.

  Since it's really only in ONE place, if deleted, it is also removed from the other file.
