Satellite P200 - Realtek driver install - I can do this backward?

I was about to install the Realtek 6.0.1.5605 audio driver but the installation screen says (I think, the English are poor) that he * remove the existing driver * and advise I need to re - install this if the upgrade has failed.

I do not have the original driver, it was already installed on my Vista P200.

This warning means that Vista roll back option will not work if I go ahead with the update?

Kind regards
Chris

The existing driver files will be removed or replaced. But Rollback should still work.

If the restore does not work, then you can reinstall the original drivers of C:\TOSAPINS or download the drivers from the Web from Toshiba website.

If the new drivers that you install from Toshiba, then you don't need to worry about this, they should work correctly.

  • Satellite P200 - HD-DVD Player Toshiba can not read HD-DVD

    Hello.

I have a problem with my Satellite P200-1: can not read HD DVD. There is a message that says that the video may not be in an external device.

The problem is the same if I try on the screen of the laptop or on the TV (Sony Bravia Full HD) with HDMI. I have the latest driver and software for vista sp1 installed...

    Some have an idea?
    Sorry to talk so badly...

    I think I know what's wrong;

    Check this Toshiba TB document;

    [HD DVD title does not play ("unable to output the video to an external device"): http://askiris.toshiba.com/ToshibaSupportSite/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=1664 788xml & sliceId = & dialogid = 41741513 & stateId = 0% 200% 20 41739828]

To resolve this problem, you will need to update the Audio driver Realtek for Windows Vista.

  • Native for Satellite P200 MTP driver

    Since January, I have a Satellite P200.

Tried to connect my Creative Zen Sleek MP3 player using native drivers. The pilot is yellow exclamation mark in Device Manager. The Office for Creative is a total waste of time that all five exchanges of e-mail contained virtually the same instructions that I followed without success.

Can everything / body help? Finally, I may have missed it but y at - it a phone number or by e-mail to technical assistance from Toshiba?
If so can someone post it please. I'm in the United Kingdom.

    Hello

Support for Toshiba UK hotline phone number verification page.

In any case, I think that they can not help you much. Toshiba doesn't supports the use of a third party hardware or software. What they will say, it is to contact the creative support. They have best experience with own product and know how it should work on Windows XP Home or Vista edition.

  • Satellite P200 - 16 X - installing ATI drivers

    Hello

I have some difficulties with the ATI driver. I have a Radeon HD2600 Mobility and in the past, my computer was working with the recovery CD drivers (drivers Catalyst 8.4 if I remember correctly). I could not update ATI drivers (I have Vista). I was used to the ATI site driver download, then run them and install them, but it never worked.

Even under Linux (Ubuntu and Fedora), it was really hard to install, sometimes it as work, sometimes not, no particular reason.
Today I decided to install Vista again, but not with the recovery CD, but with a CD Microsoft Vista Professional (thanks MSDNAA). But still I can not install these drivers, with drivers ATI and the drivers on the Web from Toshiba site are no longer available.

I am currently updating of Windows and install all the rest, but I doubt it will change something. For now my graphics card is not recognized so no Aero, a bad screen resolution and everything is very slow.

Is that what someone has experienced this problem? If not, can I still use the restore CD but I would rather not.

    Thank you

    Hello

I put t have this laptop but I checked the Vista drivers on the European driver Toshiba page and all THE drivers for Vista and the graphics driver are available.

The laptop seems to belong to the series of PSPB6E and I recommend to use the driver from the Toshiba page.

Page ATI drivers are not supported and certified by Toshiba and so you will not be able to install it by using a common procedure

    Welcome them

  • Satellite P200-1I4, the graphics card can be changed/updated?

  • Satellite P200-140: cannot install software on Vista with the administrator account

    Hello

just bought a new P200-140 Sat with windows vista at home, but I cannot load the software on the computer.

I'm in administrator mode and when I am trying to load the software I get an error message saying "can only load software as an administrator of disconnection and reconnection as Administrator", but the problem is that I am the administrator.
    can anyone help

    Hello

Are you sure that the admin account has been activated and you are connected with the admin rights 1005?

I asked because the administrator in Vista OS account is disabled by default.
Why? Well, it's an idea to Microsoft ;) and I think that the user must often work with limited rights.
But if you want to enable this account you can do the following:

    -Right-click on the computer
    -manage
    -users and groups
    -double click on administrator
-Remove the brand to deactivate account

After this procedure you can connect to the Vista operating system as an administrator.

I hope that these tips will help you.

    Good luck

  • Satellite P200-1BA: blue screen after installing Bluetooth (BT 7.1 stack)

    Hello

I would like that you suggest me solving this problem. I installed Win 7 on my laptop TOSHIBA (satellite P200-1BA). and installed all necessary drivers downloaded from the official website. But only the bluetooth driver produces the problem. When I install it, first it appears driver installed successfully, my intention to restart. After rebooting once windows starts (desktop appears) all of a sudden blue screen and the computer restarts again and again with blue screen that appears until I have disable bluetooth.

Anyone who encountered this problem too, or that someone has an idea on his reason?

It's very strange. I've installed several times on different models with different operating systems and all went well.
Are you sure you are using the 32-bit version for 32 bit OS?

What operating system is preinstalled on your laptop?

  • Satellite P200 - boot from USB possible?

As topic... I start my Satellite P200 of USB?
I can't find this option in the BIOS...

    Fabio

    Hello

I think that it should be possible.
This laptop supports a Phoenix BIOS. Am I wrong?

In this case, these startup options should be available:
Drive floppy USB, HDD, ODD, Network (LAN), USB memory

Try to select the USB port and check if you can see the additional Variant.

  • Satellite Pro M10: Cannot install SD-C2612 - device IDE hdc unknown

    Hello.

My CD/DVD-Rom device (toshiba SD-C2612) stopped working - it was still registered as a player, but would not read disks - so I got a replacement and not at all settled.

I also noticed that in device - under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers Manager - there is an "unknown device" which is called "hdc" (hard disk controller?) who doesn't have a driver installed and can not find new drivers when I update. I disabled the device and who have stopped the old cd/dvd rom recognized and when I reboot it reinstalls the hdc, but it's still the record as an unknown device.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

It seems that you have purchased an internal drive is not compatible.
It should know that the drive as master/slave or c - salt settings are fix and it of not possible to change it as on external drives by switching the jumper.

That is why it s always a good idea to ask the laptop manufacture support for a good disks before you buy a.
I found in my user manual for the list of compatible drives for my laptop. Maybe it s the same list in you user manual.
There you should find the readers supported.

  • Satellite P200-1EE I can install a 2nd hard drive in the Bay of spare?

    First of all, Hi everyone!

I have the laptop model above, and he has a spare drive Bay. There are connectors for pins at one end, but it doesn't seem like the drive will fit. It's like there's a missing - like component case Connector for the 1st disk slot. I bought a 500 GB drive and tried to see if he would be in shape. The 1st disk has a metal basket attached, and who does not.

Is it possible to install a 2nd drive for this model? If so, what would need to do?

    Thank you!

    Andy

    Hello

If you have a connector in the second HARD drive Bay, you can add a second HDD. But you will need a wire basket as on the first HARD disk. Therefore, you can contact an authorized service provider because you can get all the parts on their part.

On the Toshiba site Web is a list of all ASP s, check it!

  • Satellite P200-13Z - upgrade the hard drive - can I use SATA II hard drives?

I have a Satellite P200-13Z with simple standard Fujitsu 120 GB SATA hard drive. I want to change this to a RPM SATA II 250 GB Western Digital 7200 RPM drive. This interface SATA laptop does support SATA II? Thank you very much!

Not your portable computer does not support SATA II.

However, you can buy the SATA II hard drive and put it in your laptop. Only way to get it going is to restrict the new speed of SATA HDD, I accelerate. To do this is to introduce a jumper on the drive to restrict it to SATA I speeds up. Once it's done put in your laptop and viola, it works.

Good luck, but I would like to get a toshiba technician to install it if its under warranty. It's for your own good, so you don't turn your laptop into a boat anchor.
