  • BlackBerry Smartphones getting new BB Protect number for my phone

Protect my bb can not download on my phone, as it has already been downloaded (not by me).

Now, I don't have the feature of bb protect. Can I be reissued with a new number IM for my phone so that I can download and make use of the bb protect feature on my phone?

Your carrier is wrong when they say that its been downloaded already on another device and that is why you can not download. I don't know why they say that, but that's not true.

When you download BlackBerry Protect, it should not ask you for your PIN or any code. The only time where he should require any entry is the first time you open (it may ask you to enter your email BlackBerry ID and password, but that's all).

Instead of download via the icon on your screen, open BlackBerry App World and search for BlackBerry Protect there Download BlackBerry App World. At least that can offer an alternative method. If you still have problems to make it work, please let me know.

  • My understanding blackBerry smartphones all password keeper is for

is the guardian of password for the ppl who uses the net to enter their websites faster and easier because some of the Web sites you need passwords for?

I added a website with my username and PW but when I connect to the site, it is always asking me my nick PW and user...

then, really, that I don't understand what is the guardian of password to use! I read some ppl Announces...

    PS I'm blonde lol lol

    Thank you!

Your understanding is incorrect. The password keeper function, it's that you don't have to keep those numbers and the password stored in an application that is not secure on your BB. You can store everything that you desire, even such as your number of credit card and other information related non - BB you want to be firmly maintained.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones forgotten password

I received a message on my BlackBerry that says (send messages to my e-mail address and changes in your personal data (for example, contacts or calendar) are not delivered to your BlackBerry. To resume the service of this e-mail account to your BlackBerry smartphone, validate your password)

The problem is I don't remember my password, can anyone help please :-) :-) :-)

We do not know your password for your e-mail account.

You can connect to your e-mail account on a PC and get a reminder sent to you. This isn't a function of BlackBerry, but from your e-mail server (hotmail, gmail, etc.).

  • BlackBerry smartphone accessing password Keeper data using office software

I recently had a pressure of crack in the LCD screen on my Curve 8310.

I need to access my passwords stored in password keeper, however given that the LCD is toast, impossible to read anything on the phone.

I'm waiting on a replacement LCD screen, but need to pass, as soon as POSSIBLE.

Are there programs to display the program on the pc?

I tried a solution that actuall work, so I thought I'd post in case anyone else has this same problem.

I had previously saved data for my Blackberry Curve 8310 using the office management software.

I downloaded a Simulatr for my Curve 8310 and installed the software.  I found the Simulator to the BlackBerry Smartphone simulators - URL

    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/developers/resources/simulators.jsp

Once the program was installed, I ran the program, which shows a picture of the phone.

I started my office management software.

Now to back in the Smartphone Simulator

In the menu, I selected 'USB cable connected' which simulates the connection of the smartphone.

Once I did this, the office management software prompted me to create settings then phone again.

Once I implemented this new virtual phone, I restored my backup from the virtual desktop management software to the new.

I could then use the mouse to go to the password manager and open the program.  It prompted me for my password and all data appeared.

Hope this helps someone else.  Good luck.

  • BlackBerry smartphones validate password, is no, still no email

I'm SO frustrated. For 2 years I received emails on my blackberry without problem. Yesterday, I stopped receiving them and received a message to validate the password of my email address. When I go to the Setup email, it shows my email address (which I can connect fine with my computer) and it is red and below says "invalid account. Please validate. "  Then when I go to add (i.e. the option below the directive "validate") and try to add my account with the same email address and password I've always had, he told me that my email address is already registered and won't let add me it.  I even went to advanced option and deleted my e-mail on the service folder and tried to add again and it's the same process as above. Help, please!

Hi all... Sorry that none of the volunteers noticed this thread... I hope this isn't too late...

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support... they are 100% responsible for all of your services and all your formal support, regardless of the root cause of the problem. They can escalate cases RIM that they cannot manage without charge to the end user. So, if you need to call them, don't let them you fob off... think of him that way... you pay for all the services and support, and they currently deliver.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Get app world works... the 8520 using a mac...

Help me please! I tried everything, I just bought a BlackBerry 8520, v5.0.0.681 (Platform 5.2.0.67) and I was so happy, but now I do not know... I can't get anything to work... well ok, I can call and send SMS messages... but I was expecting a little more

I can not install the app world, I really tried to find solutions before writing, but I can't find anything that helps...

I tried first on the mobile; It has installed but says something about an unsupported version, so I uninstalled the app...

then I tried with the desktop software, it gives me this message: BlackBerry Desktop Software could not validate your update to the BlackBerry device. Aborting installation because of the failure of the validation. Some packages contained unsatisfied dependencies...

    If I'm going to try one the web, I get this message after choosing the stem;

Hello and welcome to the community!

Your BB OS is outdated... you need to update... the current version is 5.0.0.1036. Here's what I recommend... Since you are on MAC, which makes it a bit more difficult that the sets of tools to deal with things are much more limited on MAC:

    (1) properly uninstall the RIM desktop software:

    • KB18771 Install and uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software on a Mac computer

    (2) obtain a new download of the RIM Desktop software:

    (3) install the software on your MAC Desktop

    • KB18771 Install and uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software on a Mac computer

    (4) now run the Desktop software, connect your BB when prompted and perform a clean reload of your BB OS, choose the most recent version that it offers (if all goes well, 5.0.0.1036):

    • KB19915 Perform a clean reload of software applications smartphone BlackBerry using BlackBerry Desktop Software on a Mac computer
    • If you have no data on the BB that concern you, and then simply proceed with this update. If you have data on the BB, do not agree that the update and first perform a manual backup of your BB to your Mac. After the update, you may need to restore from this backup (update COULD take a backup itself and restore for you).

    (5) close the Desktop software and unplug your BB when it's all over.

Now, you must do these steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

  • My bb bold blackBerry smartphones get more heated and stops loading

I have a bb bold 9780 which is about 9 months old... recently I started having this problem with my battery to reach extreme temperatures of 45 c and then sign shows a card that supposed to happen when my battery is fully charged, but gets to 40% and does not load then... I have to put my personal number near the ac to cool up to 29 c to recharge it. even the battery life is very poor... She is barely 4 hours on a full charge... I have 2 batteries... I have a 9000 "BOLD" and I of the 9780 and the two we live the same problems...

    Thanxx in advance

Hello and welcome to the community!

It is possible that your battery or BB has encountered a problem... to test, this sequence is necessary:

    1. Get a known good and already fully charged battery... use it in your BB and see what happens
    2. Get access to a BB good and the same known... use your battery in there and see what happens

The results of this will show if your BB or your battery that has the problem.

What you describe, it is likely that your BB, which is the root of the problem... to test, I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

You may also use these tips:

It is also possible that your BB has a problem at the level of the material which is the cause... and, of course, the internet remote diagnosis and operating system/software recommendations will be nothing if this is the case.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry® Smartphones getting fake email

    Hello:

I seem to be getting the wrong email. It seems an ENCORE in Bournemouth in England is send someone elses email to my PIN in the Canada. I sent emails to person to get his BIS to stop, but she did not. I don't think she even knows or cares. What to do. It makes me crazy with 50 emails a day.

To clarify, e-mails are sent to any PIN code. Rather, BIS pulls e-mails from an e-mail server and pushes them to the Messages of BB app under this integrated email account via BIS BB (for example, the e-mail on the device Setup Wizard). So, if you have only your GMail integrated with this BB, it must have some sort of redirection rule of sending emails to your GMail (which would be strange, indeed, I think)... but not to your BB PIN, for real emails don't get shipped PIN, only on the e-mail address.

Either it was not a new device but rather was used and was not properly cleaned of all configurations before being sold... and you're the unlucky recipient of a sloppy seller does not complete what they need to do:

    • KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone

To be sure, check inside the e-mail Setup Wizard and see what you have there... If you only have your GMail account, then something really weird happens... and I recommend to contact the seller and make them apply to 'new' State they represented as height (note that is what matters... packaging can always be made to air well... only the issues of representation of sellers).

You can try the steps from the buyer in the KB above... but from what you describe, I honestly have very deep concern now on the total utility of this unit for you... He would never properly and fully usable.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphone email password update, turn round and round in circles

I used an e-mail account on my blackberry for almost a year now.  Today the blackberry ceased to receive emails on this account and I received an email from blackberry telling me to update the password for this e-mail account.  I followed the instructions in the email to blackberry. But it does not recognize the password I put in that.  When I click on "forgotten password", I get a message saying that my password has been sent to my device.  But no password can't.

My other e-mail account on my device seems to work very well.

Hi all and welcome to the forums.

This can be corrected simply by going to the site of BIS, and reinsert your correct password.

    This article explains.

    Thank you

    Hello

I don't have 'Outlook' put in place on my PC, or I really like.

Is it possible to synchronize the password Keeper, Memo pad and the Photo of my current Bold 9700 to my Blackberry Desktop Manager?

Then I can transfer these items to my curve 9320.

    Thank you.

    Hi Tamara133

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

If you stay at 9320 curve then more easiset way to do this is an Assistant to switch device using Desktop software.

KB23677  :  How to switch using BlackBerry Desktop Software devices.

Or if you want to perform a selective restore to your new 9320 then first do a full backup of your old 9700 using desktop software. Once you have your backup connect your 9320 and run the software, select the device from software > restore > data choose selected since your last backup you did > scroll down the list and select only the password keeper and memo key data in this list, then click on apply.
