BlackBerry Smartphones Hotmail has stopped working

I added my hotmail account successfully and then had to remove it to work on adding an address from outlook.  I added the hotmail account a second time and received the Activation Server email saying congratulations you will begin to receive emails from hotmail in 20 minutes and it never worked.  I deleted the account and put in place again, but same problem.  I did it using the bberry as well as the Web site.  Argh!  Any ideas?  In addition, turned off and removed the battery and it started again.  Still nothing.

The fixed.  I logged into hotmail account settings and changed my password.  Updated the password on my blackberry and it worked.  Completely weird, but it worked.  Yay.

  • Manager of Communications cell phones blackBerry Smartphones RIM has stopped working

    Hello

Today, I found my trackpad on my BB9900 had ceased to work for any scrolling. I could still use it as a button to select something, but not to move. So after the reboot to check that I had installed any new software or applications during the last month or so and even pulling the battery... I know that I know that it still did not work.

I then plugged on my laptop to try reloading software. When I did he wanted to update BB Desktop Manager. So of course I did. (BTW the BB connected at this stage) After the update when you try to connect the BB all I get is this error "RIM Handheld Communications Manager has stopped working". I restarted the laptop and the BB just to be sure, but nothing. Now, I have a BB that doesn't scroll and BBDTM which does not connect. Advice?

Either by the way, I also tried changing trackpad sensitivity and turning on an audible scroll but it did not a difference, nor I heard no sound scroll.

    Thanks in advance!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones sync has stopped working

I am running MS Outlook 2003 SP3 and Franklin Covey Plan Plus for MS Outlook 5.  I had been able to synchronize with BDM 4.3 but it suddenly stops and an error message "Operation completed unexpectedly".  I upgraded to BDM 4.5 and it started working.  It has now ceased to work with the same error message received.  Any help?

I had a hard time as well with the synchronization of calendar in Outlook works, works does not work, does not.  Try this link http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB10340&sliceId=SAL_Pub... 172800255 0 to see if it helps.  It has helped me.  I used the sync software to remove my calendar to my BB 8120 database, then delete the search in the case of my computer then restarted synchronization.  He saw my BB as a new device and calendar sync worked.  It was today, ask me again tomorrow, but it was a viable solution.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones It has stopped working

Okay, so here's the problem. Yesterday, when I opened my blackberry, the screen was black and I didn't turn it off, and it wasn't a low battery. I tried to remove the battery, wait a while and then put back and flashed red light but that is nothing happened after a few seconds. I don't know what is happening with it. Please help, thanks!

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

How do you know that the battery is not low? He could have unloaded for one reason or another you know. You have a second battery? Try it if you do. Otherwise, charge it for at least an hour before attempting to start it again... There is a minimum requirement for BB service tariff and lacking, they will act very as much as you describe.

    See you soon!

  • SOLVED blackBerry Smartphones: BlackBerry Desktop Manager has stopped working

    Hello.

Let me start by saying: I have a footstool to laptop Dell Vista 64-bit with 4 gig ram.  I have Desktop Manager v 4.7 installed and work much to sync my Outlook calendar and my Blackberry.

From a week ago, the synchronization process gets all the way to the end and I get a message saying:

"BlackBerry Desktop Manager has stopped working" and I have the choice of "check online for a solution and close the program" or "close program".  When I click on "view problem details I get this:

    Any ideas?

I found this on another site:

(1.) start the Desktop Manager software

2.) connect the blackberry using the USB connector
    3.) select "backup and restore".
    4.) select "Advanced".
5.) look at the list of information to be displayed in the window "device memory" on your computer
6.) select "calendar all" and delete it
7.) go back to the main screen and synchronize them.
    8.), everything should work fine!

Essentially, it's a data file of damaged calendar on the Blackberry device, apparently.

  • Error on blackBerry Smartphones: Blackberry Desktop Manager has stopped working

I use Desktop Manager 4.7.0.32 with a Blackberry Bold (9000); I sync with Outlook 2007 and I am running Windows Vista 64-bit Ultimate w / SP1. Synchronization worked well for many years with previous blackberries, but the synchronization problem appeared after a year or two of use with my previous camera curve.  I replaced the curve with the bold thinking which damaged equipment could be the problem (one too many drops).

However, the problem persists.  While it seems I can synchronize with success a way (from PC to BB), Director of office falls down to halfway through synchronization of calendar entries in a synchronization two-way, unless there has been no new entry calendar on the BB. The error is an error generated windows inidcating: Blackberry Desktop Manager has stopped working.

I tried every solution I could find on the web, namely:

    • Uninstalling and reinstalling Desktop Manager, making sure that I run the installer as administrator.
    • My Blackberry wiping and reinstalling the operating system (I use 4.6.0.162)
    • Delete the Intellisync folder
    • Run scanpst on my Outlookpst file
    • Clear the entries of calendar on the Blackberry (temporary solution only)

The latter is the only approach that has produced no results.  If I delete the entries on the Blackberry, the

process synchronization adds them correctly, and the next time I run the synchronization, it works without a hitch.  As soon as I did all the entries on the BB unit however, Desktop Manager crashes again, and the only way I can make it work is to clear the entries on the Blackberry and start over.

I'm several months and both handsets of BB has invested in this issue now.  I have a new fancy camera, but am recorded in writing of the appointments on paper when I am out of the office because I know they used to synchronize if I enter them at BB.  Type of defeated half the point of a blackberry...?

Getting desperate here.  Help is appreciated.

    Brad

    Hello Brad!

I had the same annoying problem that you guys have described here.
After trough fishing a lot of post and forums I found a very surprising solution for another type of BB and a different version of the DM on XP and not Vista. Being desperate I tried and miraculously it worked!

Start the DM BB and go - Syncronize - set - synchronisation - synchronization (button) - calendar - Advanced (button) - mapping fields (field mapping button) and I got rid of the synchronization between the flag "alarm" and the "free occupied" and the fields "invited".

I did it and now everything works perfectly.

I have a BB Bold, Vista Ultimate (32 bit), MSOffice 2007 (PRO) and a DMv4.7.

I hope it will work for you also.

    Kind regards
    Steve

  • Sync Smartphone blackBerry 8900 problem: "Blackberry Desktop Manager has stopped working".

Curve 8900 on T-Mobile.  Fune Sync worked until a few days ago.  Recently used the Blackberry site to update all the software after that I received a message on my phone to do so (http://na.blackberry.com/eng/update/). Now, in the middle of synchronization (Bluetooth or USB), Windows tells me that "Blackberry Desktop Manager has stopped working".  It always stops working at the stage where Desktop Manager treats the device calendar.

I tried all the stuff I can think: uninstalling and reinstalling, Outlook Update, disable Windows Defender, USB and Bluetooth, used the T-Mobile site and the EDGE of the site... nothing.  Help!

    Desktop Manager v5.0.0.11

    Handheld Software v4.6.1.231

    Windows Defender is DISABLED

    Synchronize with Outlook 2007

Could mean that the calendar on the BlackBerry database is corrupted. Are the entries in Outlook until data on the BlackBerry? If so you can try out the BlackBerry database, and then synchronize again. To clear the database on the BlackBerry, go to the backup and restore | Advanced. On the right, you will see the BlackBerry databases. So you can choose the calendar, then click on the delete button. That will remove all entries from the BlackBerry calendar. Then try to sync.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager has stopped working

"Desktop Manager has stopped working", that's what I get when trying to sync my curve.  He will get through the address book but stops each time on the calendar.  Any suggestions?

Hmm. Maybe it's something in your Calendar database is corrupted. Your device has never been synchronized before? There is a way to clear the Calendar database. So if you have your device to sync with Outlook, after it is cleared from the BlackBerry, you can try to synchronize again.

To clear the Calendar database, you can go to the Office Manager. Backup and restore | Advanced. On the right, select the Calendar database and click the clear button. Then try to synchronize again

  • BlackBerry e-mail account Smartphones one has stopped working

I tried to delete it and re-add (several times). Had the Sprint Store try different options, including a reeboot in their system. At GoDaddy check their system... Pulled the battery while the phone was on and outside... Nothing works!

Help, it's the story I receive time sensitive works on.

It is a Bold 9650 and all my other email accounts (of Go Daddy) work correctly.

    magsowencrouch wrote:

then they suggested I phone Blackberry for them to resynchronize... but I found the online Forum and no tech support number to call, where my posted question.

This is where Sprint really let you down... you see, they gave you. They know very well that end users have no way to directly solicit any formal support from RIM. All the formal support of the RIM must be wound with carriers... and that's what Sprint would have been done for you. Instead, they gave you. Sad... but sadder still, it happens far too often.

End-users who understand the process are equipped with this knowledge and can prevent such a fob off. So, if you want to continue with them (and, frankly, I think that you need more deep support from RIM and others who, unlike us volunteers here on this form, have access to 'behind the scenes' information and other), you will need to go to them again, this time insisting that they honor the support contract you have.

Think about it... you PAY Sprint for 100% of your service and 100% of your support... training and although now they deliver neither you... even if the case requires an improved rim support, Sprint remains linked contractually to provide assistance in this regard.

Now since I have uninstalled and reinstalled again the email address, I don't get emails from this account on my phone, but all my other email accounts are working fine.

Don't know what else I can tell you, I'm really frustrated with it, because it's a story that I get job offers that are time sensitive, so it's reduce my income.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Given the critical nature of your need, I do not recommend return you to the Sprint, and this time do not leave you fob OFF... insist that, if indeed they say you need to speak to RIM, that they (Sprint) provide the means to do so (which is to prosecute, provide you necessary information file number and such and then degenerate into RIM).

In the meantime, I recommend the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you certainly should more "behind the scenes" that can be offered through this community and volunteer-contribution users... re-contact Sprint and insist that they solve it, climbing to RIM, if they can't.

Oh... one more thing... you did not change anything on your PC to access this email account, did you? For example, if you have an email client (Outlook, for example,) also access this email account - AND it is downloading mails from the server more frequently than every 15 minutes - AND it's delete them server when it downloads, then there would be nothing for BIS to find (and place on your BB) when he checks on his interval normal 15 minutes. Honestly, I doubt it's causal, given the symptoms you described... but you never know.

    Good luck!
