  I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

  • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

  It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

  If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

  But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

  I'm having a major problem. I can't click on the 'Start' button for the Media Manager when I go into the BB Desktop Manager. I tried to reinstall Desktop Manager & all other items several times. I removed the battery. I also put my memory options for my storm as:

  Media card support: on

  Encryption mode: no

  PSG: on

  Mass storage support: on

  Auto enable mass storage Mode when connected: Yes

  Could someone help me please? I can't transfer ANY media be it because of this problem!

  Without starting the desktop software or the Media Manager, connect the USB cable and the PC the storm.

  Open my computer in Windows. You see as a removable media card?

  If Yes, you can "drag and drop" files on the card out of holder on the storm.

  To correct the media manager please specify the following:

  PC, operating system (if vista 32 or 64)

  The version of the currently installed software.

  You have problems with the backup or sync Desktop Manager?

• URGENT blackBerry Smartphones: phone does not start after update (21/05/2009)

  As indicated in the title, my phone does not after that I updated last night. He mentioned that he will not be able to make any calls or anything for the next 2 hours, but after the time of 2 hours, it seems to fail during startup.

  At first, I thought it was battery problem that the screen is not actually light up and so I charge my phone. So I just realized even during the loading, the bright red light (LED) Dungeon blinks from time to time. I look closely at the screen and you can vaguely see the logo of loading.

  It is, he does not meet one of the buttons. None of them activate the backlight on the Dungeon of the flashing display vaguely similar to when I first pluged load.

  I suspect that's not supported properly.

  Started to download the eyes of memory... failed with a TCP failure to connect, now it is just in my world with a "start download" and a stopped progress bar. Click on it nothing happens, go to try the app for download... again no option for DL.

  Hi guys my first post so if I miss info ask for...

  I have a bold 9700 on T Mobile UK V5.0.0.423 (Platform 5.1.0.116)

  My probem is I want to be able to use my devices as a sat nav so and T Mobile gave me with telenav GPS Navigator, which, from what I've seen looks ok, but my problem is the phone keeps darkening of the screen during the race, after about 2 minutes, it means that I have to hold a button on the phone to turn the screen bach till I can see the map... is there a way I can stop the screen from dimming while using sat nav... otherwise what is the point of the sat nav if you do not see the screen...

  There is an option for this in the settings in the Telenav application.  You can have it turn on turns or do keep the screen turned on all the time.  TeleNav is great.  I use it all the time!

  I am the BES admin where I work, and we installed it with settings of 'out of the box.  This firewall setting is a default and is not causing the problem.  Is telenav.  I had a user who has obtained a "BOLD" has a few month and ever since then telenav apps didn't work.  I tried a lot to make it work and it would have still stuck at 99% 'connection '. result   Today, I was on the phone for 3 hours get transferred from ATT to RIM to ATT and then finally telenav, then 2nd layer support.

  My solution was to install the latest version of telenav:

  From your blackberry browser go to this link:

  http://OTA.TeleNav.com/OTA/tnatt choose RIM as the phone manufacturer, then select version 9000 build 5.5.0.1016.

  I have nothing wrong with the installation of telenav, comes to accept by default and has continued.  You must enter your name at some point and PIN which is the last 4 digits of your phone #.  You don't do it once only.  After it you will connect you automatically.

  After installation, make sure that the older versions of the application are 'hidden' from your bb homescreen and only this new version is visible.  I almost made the mistake after installation of revived even older version!  (on the home screen, select the out of date icon, press the bb menu button and select: hide)

  The new version which was installed brought in the download on the bb folder.  I had to move the new browser to the home screen icon.  (highlight the icon, press the bb menu and select: at home)

  I had the same problem using the Desktop Manager 5.0.1. He had NOT the necessary drivers of BB 8530 so I had to download from my carrier (Sprint/downloads) on the desktop, and then used the BB Apploader to install and reboot the system. Make sure that download you your "specific" phone software  Should work for you. It did for me. Good luck.
