BlackBerry Smartphones installed 6.0.0.448 Rogers torch but BB Maps disappeared

Installed the latest OS of torch, namely 6.0.0.448 and everything seemed fine, but BB Maps disappeared. BB office shows that it is not installed. Hard reset several times. So my friend, with a torch siad the same thing happened to his machine after he upgraded. I can't find the cards BB App World, which is dumb type of RIM.

Anyone know what's happened and how to fix it?

Thanks for your suggestions...

I had the same problem.

Try the same fix, but the download link has been install setup of the cards.

Then it came to me...

Using the Blackberry desktop software v 6

When you connect the phone to the computer...

Select - applications

a list will come up - Blackberry maps appeared in my list.

Selected to be installed.

Some sync/finishing

Process did the rest.  Cards installed and works very well.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones-box E-mail icon does not appear, but e-mail account is configured in fact

  • BlackBerry smartphones cannot load facebook, or any other site, but get e-mails

Hi, does anyone have any idea why I can't load facebook mobile, or indeed any site Web, even though I normally receive e-mails and facebook messages.  But when I click on a link to take me to facebook etc.  It seems that it is loading, but it never does.  all I get is a blank page.  I have just received very well and could access any link until recently.  I don't know if maybe someone changed something in the perhaps settings - but I don't have the slightest idea how to again access facebook mobile etc.    I'd like to be able to do it again.  Thank you.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones installed East Asian input language, but may not use it

    Hello world

I met a strange thing. My goal was to install and use Simplified Chinese input to write in simplified Chinese. I followed the instructions given ony various websites. I downloaded via this site http://us.blackberry.com/support/apps-and-software/desktop-and-device-download-sites.html the 9900jAllLang_PBr7.1.0_rel1149_PL5.1.0.276_A7.1.0.342.exe file (file size: > 260MO) and managed to install it. Everything seemed fine.

Alas, after a successful installation, I still can't select Chinese simplified as an input language. I suspect it's because as simplified Chinese (and btw also Japanese and Korean, which are not selectable) application for entry is version 6.0, while the languages selectable as input language version 7.1!

All European languages in the upper screenshot as well as Hindi and Vietnamese are selectable and I guess that's just because they also have version 7.1. As the package I downloaded is widely considered to be the most recent, I wonder why the Chinese, Korean and Japanese are the only version 6.0.

How can I solve this problem? Is it possible to choose language of entry of a lower version? Or is it possible to update the version of input language?

    Thank you very much

    Markus

Hello and welcome to the community!

To be clear... the screenshots you provided the second shows all these 6.0 languages as "Installed", which means, with respect to all software/OS Desktop, they are installed in your BB. So is what you're saying that, on your BB itself, even if they show in the Desktop software installed, you can not select to use them on your BB itself? It is indeed strange, if this is the case... and your suspicions may be correct.

To fix this, my advice is to find a version more recent operating system package... I am running for my BB, 7.1.0.523 model, and it shows them all as 7.1 and not 6.0 (although I don't have installed them to my BB, but they are available).

So I would guess that your suspicion is correct, but a newer OS 7.1 package may hold the cure you need. You should consult, via the official download portal, a new package of OS 7.1 to your BB model. In our "BOLD" forum there is a sticky thread that lists all businesses of the 9900:

You can use it as a reference to then navigate the official download portal:

Xandrex trying to keep this sticky thread updated, but lately has been able to... it is therefore not currently useful in determining the exact OS levels that each carrier support 9900 is on... but at least it narrows down the list of carriers to seek through the download portal, so it is useful for that at least.

    Good luck!

Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

Step 1: You have installed Desktop Manager by using the option "Desktop Redirector".

If you are not using redirector, you must uninstall Desktop Manager, and then reinstall it using the BlackBerry Internet Service option.

Step 2: On your device, go to: Options > Advanced > maintenance book and remove any service books for [office]

  • BlackBerry smartphones install Applications on Blackberry 7.1

Does anyone have an idea if there is an option to install apps on external memory card using blackberry 7.1 (Blackberry Curve 9320) instead of their installation on the internal memory which is very poor (only 512 MB).

    Hello amietmadan

When we install games or theme, they will be stored on your device memory no media card. You can install themes on your device it will not take much space and for games, I prefer to install just the ones you want because our device needs space to run properly.

  • BlackBerry smartphones installed upgrading to 4.5 on device

On my Curve 8320, I get an almost constant hourglass. Blackberry, KD 10307 technical solutions, I decided to reinstall the operating system. I currently have 4.2.2.180 (Platform 2.5.0.36) on my device. On the site of my provider, T-Mobile, I downloaded the device software 4.5.0.81.exe. I also downloaded the latest desktop manager they had, 4.6.0.14.

I have followed all the instructions and run the Setup program on the 4.5.0.81.exe and the installation wizard tells me he had put in place. But the Director of office did not open automatically and I can't seem to install. The section of requests to update in the Desktop Manager application loader section tells me I'm completely up to date and that no new applications can be found. I can't load it manually, since it puts in Windows as an .exe file and not as an application loader file. I have to miss an easy step here. I tried the things I found in the forums and technical support, such as a restart. Can someone help me? Thank you very much.

    Bob

    1. download and install the latest version of the desktop PC Manager

2 download the new OS you want and install it on the PC

    3. open the Desktop Manager and do a full backup of your current device.

    4 delete the vendor.xml file located in c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader

(#4 is optional if you are installing an operating system that is downloaded by the carrier to which your device is brand).

    5. plug in the BB and open the Desktop Manager

    6. Select Application Loader

    7. you will be prompted to upgrade

  • BlackBerry Smartphones installed DM6, previous version remains

Hello. At the risk of asking a stupid question, I installed DM6 yesterday and was surprised to find that it has not replaced the previous version. The old version is still there and the device. Is there a reason I should keep it, or do I just uninstall it?

Also, this is normal behavior, or something weird on my particular installation?

    Thank you for the ideas!

    Hello

Yes, you can go ahead and uninstall the old version of the BlackBerry Desktop Manager software on your computer.

    Thank you

  • BlackBerry Smartphones installed a updated software and curve won't turn on after reboot. Help please!

OK, so I am new to the BB world. I just downloaded the software deskstop and performed an update I plugged my BB to the computer. It took about 20 minutes and the BB said, turning it back on, so I chose "restard now."

Now, the software of office says "disconnected" on the bottom right and my phone does not illuminate. She has just the occasional flashing red. She's.

    No idea what to do?

Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way:

With the BlackBerry powereddevice, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this way is prescirbed for most the gltiches and operating system errors, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

  • BlackBerry smartphones install BB user tools/Desktop Software 4.3

Instructions say if I want to use the software of synchronization between the BB and the computer I have to do a custom installation.

When I followed the instructions of the guide book, they are different from the screen. After I click on custom I get a screen that has basically two choices: device or desktop computer, but the statement said I should get a drop-down list and select THIS FUNCTION.

The CD is version 4.3. I can go on the website and choose a different version, but I'm too new with BB to know what to choose.
