BlackBerry smartphones look at a desktop synchronization progress

When I connect my "BOLD" for pc, it starts the sync window, but good at the top left of my PC screen.  The launch window is so far top & left, I can't sheet it down to see.  It didn't used to be a problem until the recent updated software 2.  Now, I can't view the files to be synchronized and sync progress.  Any suggestions on how to make the window sync appears in the middle of my desktop screen? I don't want to give up my "BOLD", but the synchronization process has become quite heavy.

Hi jeep010,

Welcome to the support community!

I advise to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry® Desktop software and then reinstall the latest version of BlackBerry® Desktop Software at http://bbry.lv/JlWfyC

This article also explains how. "How to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop software" http://bbry.lv/HVraPb

Once you have reinstalled the BlackBerry® Desktop Software, please try to configure and test the sync again to verify that the synchronization window is now displayed correctly on your computer screen.

I hope this helps.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones looking for backup file BlackBerry IPD Category Descriptions

    Hello world

For the life of me. I can't seem to find the list of category descriptions listed in a *. IPD backup file.

What I basically want to do, is to isolate the sound patterns (alerts) and * NOT * have the backup file wipe out the original default patterns that are loaded with a clean installation of the BlackBerry Device Software.  Also, that the list description would come very handy for future restorations!

Thanks in advance to anyone who can point me in the right direction.

    Thank you!

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Hmmm... Category descriptions... I'm not quite positive which is... maybe it's databases? If so, here's a knockout that lists those:

    • KB03974 List of all databases on the BlackBerry smartphone

I'm guessing that your tent a selective restore of certain databases rather than restore complete. What happens, however, is the replacement of the complete database indeed... regardless of the database that is located on the device is is replaced by what is in the IPD file. For some databases, there are tricks to merge the data that can be undertaken - for most messages, calendar, contacts and tasks... 'the organizer' standard databases, but I don't know the method to merge the databases of configuration (as well as alert profiles).

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones a FIX! -Desktop Manager 7.0

HELO all - after 2 days was also frustrated that hundeds of you were, I have my running Desktop Manager 7.0 (version 44). Thanks to a certain number of you who gave me clues. I tried to roll back to a restore point in order to obtain the return - 6.1 which failed miserably and I couldn't even get it to load - this is what steps I used to get a solution I tested:

    BTW - I use Win 7 (64-bit) and Office/Outlook 2010 (32-bit), synchronization with a Bb Tour using OS 5.x

    1. using the Control Panel, uninstall all Bb DM you have (versions 6 or 7). Reset.

    2. using the Control Panel, uninstall the MS .net components. (I got 4.0 and need to uninstall the component extended before you uninstall the .net Framework.) Also, I chose to "Restart later" After uninstallation of first and only restarted after uninstalling second. Reset.

    3. you must have Visual C++ 2008 SP1 installed. Look under control Panel\Programs to see if you have it. If this is not the case, do a Google search and you will get the download link easily. Reboot after installation (if you do not already have Visual C++ 2008 SP1).

    4. go to Blackberry.com and download the latest 7.0 (build 44) and follow the instructions for installation.

    5. once loading Desktop Manager, accept the values by default - but do * not * check the organizer for synchroization files.

    6. connect your Blackberry via USB cable. A backup will take place.

    7. when the backup is complete, go to the organizer and configure each of the four areas that you want to use. Be sure to select a one-way since the device and check the box to write about the device files.

    8. once the settings are finished, synchronize all. (I + 2 000 entries, and it took about 15 minutes.) The overview of the synchronization will take a few minutes too, but be patient!

    9. when the synchronization is complete, disconnect the phone and check your calendar, contacts, etc.. It must be up to date.

    10. make a change in the schedule. Reconnect the phone. Change the settings of the Organizer to perform two-way synchronization. Synchronize all the. It will take a few minutes, but not that first sync - always be patient!

    11. when the synchronization is complete, check the calendar change - it should be there.

I hope this helps you and a lot of people because it has really been a hell two days! Best - Chuck

    Play well.

IIRC, when I installed everything first DM (v6.x), I had to uninstall all versions of the .NET framework. Then, DM has installed its own version of one of them. Since then, various other programs have reinstalled parts of the .NET framework "package" without interfering with the DM.

If it is only the 'BB software development team' and I'm using the VERY loose term, in fact, have stumbled on this obstacle, once again... .

Thanks for all the effort you put into documenting your way to victory!

However, I think I'll waqit until the BB actually recover and difficulty THEIR s/w CORRECTLY...

BTW, where all the BB customer support people answer these white-hot forum discussions?

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Unlike other how things, RIM does not provide a desktop PIM. Others force you to use their PIM and only their PIM. RIM provides a driving software that works as a bridge between your PIM and the BB. See this compatible PIM KB:

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not configure the synchronization

Our person I.T. installed office on my computer Manager. I plugged the phone and the Desktop Manager. When I click on the synchronization of the configuration. button, she begins and shows: "Determination root Configuration name of hand". It stops and I get "unknown error reported. This happens when hanging the phone to the computer as well.

    Here's what I'm working with:

    Outlook 2003

Windows XP Professional 2002 Service Pack 2

    BlackBerry Curve

    Desktop Manager Version 4.3.0.17

I set up my email account and it works fine. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

    Thank you!

These were rights. When I was given administrator rights, I was able to configure the synchronization. I sync a curve. My rights have been reduced to their normal level and timing of the thin curve.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not set up synchronization with Outlook

I just installed the latest BB Desktop Manager (4.7.0.32) but I can not configure it to synchronize with Outlook 2003. When I configure synchronization options (for example, calendar), I can select, select MS Outlook, select 2-way synchronization, select (the only user profile: Outlook), get the window "Congratulated and finally a message that translates by (in Dutch):"Cannot find the file of the table system".» And then, he returned to the window selection for apps (calendar-block-notes, etc.).

I have the BB 8300 Curve, BB 4.5 software (on handheld)

I found this solution that also works for DM 4.7:

    Cause

The error occurred after the release of BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.2.2 to version 4.3. The upgrade could not remove the connectors folder in C:\Program Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Connectors. Thus, old office applications of Microsoft Outlook are saved with BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.3.

    Resolution

If the connectors folder is always present in C\Program Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Connectors\MS Outlook Connector, follow these steps:

Unregister the old ilxolkCompanion.fil of Microsoft Outlook Connector.
    1. open the prompt (run-> cmd.exe).
    2. navigate to C:\Program search in Motion\BlackBerry\Connectors\MS Outlook Connector.
    3 type the command regsvr32 u ilxolkCompanion.fil.
    4. in the Desktop Manager, Microsoft Outlook is no longer appears as an available desktop application.
Save the latest Microsoft Outlook Connector.
    1. navigate to C:\Program search Motion\BlackBerry\IS71 Connectors\MS Outlook Connector.
    2. Enter the command regsvr32 msoutlookconnector.fil.
    3. in the Office Manager, Microsoft Outlook will now registered as an available desktop application.

Once these steps have been completed, configure synchronization again.

  • Synchronization of calendar to blackBerry Smartphones. first of all to synchronize all elements, then the date range, then all the items; all previous deleted items

I work IT at my company.  My colleague got a blackberry storm.  We hung up and synced Outlook 2007 for the Blackberry.  Everything went correctly.

Initially, we had the synchronization schedule "all items". But after watching the parameters, we decided to only synchronize a range of dates.  We sync'd, but we didn't know that the blackberry removes anything outside the range of dates.  Rather than just update everything that falls in the range of dates.

For us he returned to "all items".  The Blackberry now tells Outlook to delete all the entries outside the range of dates.

HELP I'M SCREWED!  My colleague schedule is all messed up.  Can recover it software Blackberry, all these deleted items?

Or should I go to my backup and recover all its information?  I can do it, but that requires a lot more work.

If there is another position that helps out, please please direct me to it.  I'll keep looking...

    Scott

Well.  It becomes a problem. But first my solution:

I went to a backup and restore of the mailbox.  Appointments in the calendar have been copied in the calendar and sync whalla, it's done.

If this topic is made, however the problem is not.  The storm Blackebery was still deleting old appointments.  Then I learned about '' go go = Forever. ''

    We'll see how it goes.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

You don't say, but you can use a version of DTM which is too recent for your version of Outlook - see this KB:

    • KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager to synchronize

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not see Desktop Manager in my list of all programs on the start menu

I just installed the Blackberry Desktop Manager for Blackberry 7100i Nextel (version 4.1.0.376).

It does not appear under all programs on my Winxp start menu.    It seemed to install correctly, but it just doesn't appear in the start menu.    I removed it by following the instructions (requiring the removal of certain registry entries and files and more using Add/Remove programs in the control panel).

I reinstalled the program and it will not always be displayed on the start menu.    I can run a couple of .exe files and run it manually, but I don't get the full program.

I am the administrator of my pc Windows XP Professional.

Any ideas on what could be the problem?

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Yes, that would do makes a difference. For reference, the best procedure must first install the full package of DTM (what version you need for your PIM version if you plan to synchronize via attached USB/BT), then, at the top of the DTM installed, your bundle of BONES of carriers (which modifies DTM so that it can provide you with options that apply to you).

You can edit your previous post - but it's actually better not unless there is a real error needing correction. It is good to leave the wire in place just in case someone in the future should have a similar situation... so that they can find your description and solution and I hope to find their response without the need to post a new thread.

Oh yes, once you are sure that it is resolved, please don't forget to mark the thread as solved.

    Best!

  • BlackBerry smartphones duplicate appointments and calendar synchronization problems

I use Outlook 2003 and the Blackberry Curve with v4.2.2.180 software.  I don't use Enterprise Server.

When I sync my BB with Outlook, he began to do some weird things.  First of all, he wants to delete my Outlook items.  Second, he changed the title of a recurring appointment for no apparent reason.  I have to fix things, tried to set the configuration so it records only deletes or moves on the BB and set the configuration in advance so that conflicts are always resolved in favor of Outlook, but when I synch, he wants to still remove 22 items in my Outlook calendar and add one bunch of others.

How can I get to sync properly?

Do I have to clear the calendar on the BB and then start Outlook?  How do I do that?

    Thank you

    > Do I have to clear the calendar on the BB and then start Outlook?  How do I do that?

TODO, you want to use the Desktop Manager

    Backup/restore

    Advanced

    Click on calendar on ERS.

Under the screen of the RHS, click clear.

Now, do a synchronization, and you will receive the calendar on the BB Outlook.

    BlackBerry users good day.

I just of me a BlackBerry Storm 1 and I would like to install the Desktop Manager.

I downloaded the installation from the website and tried to install it.

At the beginning it goes well, that I start, select my country... but then...

I looked around these forums, but I am not getting any help.

    Could someone help me please?

I'm pretty annoyed by this error.

I hope to have a useful answer.

    Kind regards

Unfortunately not, as with most of the facilities of software, information must be written in some parts of the computer, such as the registry, and you can just use a USB flash drive to run your applications.

This error is a Microsoft Windows error occurs when Windows detects code that is run from a protected location  At this point, Microsoft is your best bet for support as it is not an error of BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB ID vs Desktop Manager.

Hi all. first of all, sorry for the bad English (I'm Italian).

I have a 9320 curve, my first BB.

these screenshots to explain my problem:

    http://postimg.org/image/atzzxr1dx/

    http://postimg.org/image/6dnurrxt3/

    Firmware 7.1.0.714 (operator Wind Italy).

yesterday, I opened the Blackberry App World. He opens and invites me to update to Blackberry World (ok, the link to the site, download, install).

then I restarted and opened the world of Blackberry. It opens and invites me to update the Blackberry ID. Once again, successful update.

everything ok, but when I put all my phone (new applications, contacts/photos/music of the old...) I plug the 9320 for the Blackberry Desktop Manager for a backup and uninstall applications.

Blackberry Desktop Manager show upward with a pending (see the screenshot) operation: reinstall some 'old version' of "necessary software." the issue is that is NOT possible to turn off this operation. It reinstall the OLD BB ID, then the BB world would install the ID of the NEW BB Desktop Manager to reinstall the OLD...

    How can be fixed that?

on the desktop software, there is an option for him would not not to make the automatic updates. I suggest that you uncheck this option.

If you want to keep this option is checked, then you must install on your PC, the latest version of the OS for your 9320. Contact the wind if need is, you should be able to download it here:
