Mute the button on top of my curve used to disable my BlackBerry

When I put it in its case.

Now mute the button has stopped working and it will not disable.

How can I get this working again?

Check the status of the button Mute the Yor device after having a reset by disconnecting the battery for 30 sec.

    There is virtually no diagnosis of those - they are the equivalent of random errors in Windows for which trace the root cause is futile. Basically, here's the last out in the programming code - some event occurred for which there is no event handler in the code. The patch is an update of the code that handles the event... but, again, what is the event is almost impossible. So, there are a few things to try:

    Sometimes, the code simply is damaged and needs to be updated - just like a reboot:

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    There may be a code updated to the value of the carrier - check out them through this Portal:

    The toughest possible causes are a bad application behave. To find it, there are two options. Is to see if you can read the log file:

    Go to the home screen. Hold down the "alt" key and type "lglg". (You won't see anything as you type). This will bring up the log file.     That's an interesting statement... exactly how did you get that? As in, who did you call? RIM offers zero support to front line for BBs... only via the escalation of a carrier can you receive free support from RIM. You go through your carrier?

    I was browsing a website via google when the page is empty and the above message came. I can access is no longer browsing the internet on my blackberry just got the message.

    I don't know if I'm on track to restart MDS connection service, after looking at the help sections? Only problem is that I have not the slightest idea how to do this.

    Interestingly, I can still access my facebook and ebay apps just won't use google or internet browser.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Have you recently installed a new application on your device? If you then uninstall or undo the changes that you did before this error appeared on your device. Also, try these steps and see if that helps:

    1 - Save your pocket computer.

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • You expect a registration messages in your Inbox messages.

    2 remove and return your Service book

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Expect an enrollment message arrives in your Inbox for each e-mail address you have.

    3. and then do a restart of battery like that pull while the device is powered on remove your battery wait for a min. then reinsert back

    Or you can call your service provider for further assistance. Try it and tell us.

    I was wondering if someone could help I have tried everything to fix the error 552 on my curve 8520 but nothing works, and now the phone will not connect to my laptop, I tried apploader now it says device current is updated, office says unable to connect to the device (from the outset) software and the phone does nothing except sitting on a white screen with "software reloading 552" written on it.

    Could someone please help?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones eception exception error when entering the "Messages".

    I have a client who uses a Blackberry World Edition (8830) and when it tries to go in Messages (by clicking on the Messages icon) it gets this error message all the time: uncaught Exception: java.lang.null.pointer

    I tried 2 types of resets, alt + Cap + del and tried to remove the battery when the BB is running and the same thing, I did a hard reset, that is wiping the BB and customer has left me a message this morning that he always gets the same error message.

    My BES Console (synchronize us with Domino servers on a Lotus Notes platform), I see that he has the

    Update you the software or the error popped up in the middle of the update? My advice is rather download software on your PC first before update. Make a direct update by internet is delicate especially if you don't have a reliable, continuous connection to the internet. If there is a delay or the connection is cut off, you will not be able to complete the update.

    I had this problem for a while. Whenever I have download an application from anywhere, & I use the app, that's what I see (mobile app startup error. (App name) Error loading module mobile app). It does not matter where to download (app world, get jar or developer) I noticed that until I have remove the app that I have atempted to download my phone works funny. He loves trolling along & is very, very slow to respond. I don't know if children have preview with the settings or if its something I did. I even went thru & removed more than half of my apps thinking I could have a lot, but it wasn't the problem. Contribution to this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    I don't understand what you mean by application to open a Web site as opposed to stationary application?

    • On one side you have shortcuts. They are on the home screen or in a folder of the home screen. When clicked, it opens a website. These shortcuts are similar to Favorites, but with an icon.
    • on the other side you have applications. For example when you open Notepad, it opens the application that is installed on your device.
    • You affirm that you are unable to open any application (as opposed to shortcuts), if that's true, then I suggest you try with the Messages app, MemoPad application and the browser.

    Notepad is an application of RIM, that can be uninstalled. If nothing works, you can probably go to your support of carrier and ask them to correct it.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Weatherbug Elite error 20304

    Hello

    I have a Blackberry Tour.  Bought Weatherbug Elite via the App World.  85 MB of free space on the device, a lot of space.

    When installing, it provided me with activation code, offered to copy to the Clipboard for me so I could just paste in when the software has been installed and asked him.  That's why I did not write it down.  A few not later, installation was complete, and the unit recharged, wiping out the Clipboard (activation code).

    Within the App World - My World, initially he held during a few days with the message 'purchase to fill...

    There is NO license key information in MyWorld.

    I contacted customer service at the Blackberry and Weatherbug.  They told me to get my license key in the properties of my world, but it wasn't there.

    I got a refund for my purchase, so PayPal * SHOULD * follow that I own is no longer this license.

    On these forums, I discovered how to reset My-World cache by doing the alt key combination, which reset the message "complete purchase".

    I made sure there was no trace of weatherbug software installed, not even the free weatherbug app (I uninstalled it the free one just to be sure).

    I "explore" my device (file via Media) and deleted all records and references to Weatherbug and Weatherbug Elite.

    I uninstalled App world.

    I have re-installed App world.

    I logged on MyWorld and reconciled the Apps.  No errors.

    There is no sign of Weatherbug and Weatherbug Elite.

    Yet, when I try to purchase Weatherbug Elite, I get the message of 20304 error.

    I scoured these forums, google it, all I could think of, but I can't find a solution that works.  I followed all the links in the related posts on this site, 'how to install on a different device' and the knowledge base articles, none of them work.

    Anyone know how I can do to clear this message and actually get the app I want installed on my BB?

    If someone else has the same problems (as i belive you could), I could solve this problem (a little).  The question is that something is missed during reconciliation with PayPal.

    HOW I SOLVED THE PROBLEM:

    1. I contacted "Weatherbug Station weather Tech Support" by e-mail.

    2. If you provide them with the brand / model of your device, as well as the PIN # of your device (Options / status on your BB), they can find the activation code that was lost.  This is critical information you need.

    3 WRITE DOWN this code activation

    4. then on your BB, click on the link: http://blackberry.weatherbug.com/weatherbug/download.html

    5 from here, go down to the "Upgrade" section for the Elite software, choose your make and model.  That link above, allows to circumvent the requirement of App World and download the software directly on your device.  Once the installation is complete, enter the activation code and voila.

    6. ask the tech support person Weatherbug will marry you.

    NOTE: Since this bypassed App World, your weatherbug application does not appear in your My World.  If you try to install the application in MyWorld, you will probably get the same 20304 error code, so the question itself is not technically solved.  However I finally got where I wanted to be.

    Please use the following steps to reload your software:

    Download an application on your computer called BBSAK (BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife). You use it to wipe the operating system of your device. You can get it here: www.bbsak.org

    Download the latest OS for your device, you can get here. https://swdownloads.BlackBerry.com/downloads/entry.do?code=9461CCE28EBE3E76FB4B931C35A169B0

    Connect your device to your PC and start BBSAK. It will ask you a password. If you don't have a game for your device, simply click OK.

    Choose the option to wipe device. Once completed, you will be left with a blank screen and an app 507 error, which means that the wipe has been a success.

    Unplug your unit.

    On your PC, navigate to C:\Program Files\Common research in Motion\AppLoader. Delete the file in the lower part called vendor.xml.

    Connect your device.

    In this same folder as shown above, there is an executable file called Loader (has a small telephone next to him). Double click on that and it will start loading your OS.

I tried to use the Fund Manager to update the operating system or reinstall, however, it does not give the possibility to reload the operating system.     My Blackberry 9330 cdma has been great work over the past 7 months.  From Friday 22 November, I can no longer send text messages.  I can receive texts, but every time I try to send a text I get the error message following the General problems""(SMS erreur 0, ID de Message XX). "

    I was using my phone as usual, sent the texts in the morning, but in the evening, I was unable to send a text with success to anyone.

    It is usually a network problem if you have not any setting or update any software on the device. I contact your carrier and bring them to escalate your case through their support channels.
