  I have a Satellite 2410-404 with mini pc installed wireless lan card, allowing to work perfectly - up to a few days ago, I installed a pcmcia by levelone wireless network card, just to check if it worked. This was the case, and so I uninstalled the card and the software that came with it. But now my toshiba mini wlan card no longer works! It is actually recognized and installed by the system and shown as being active - but I do not get a connection to wifi even when there is certainly one around. I can't even bring up the list of WLAN networks available (win xp) that normally you can even if there's no matter what available wlan.

  I checked the registry and found several remaining entries by levelone... but dare not change or delete since I'm not an expert at all regarding registry stuff. Another thing that bothers me is that when I uninstall the mini pc card and let windows reinstall, it shows as "3 wireless" or even "WiFi 4", which seems to allude to some "connection 2" still occupied by some zombie levelone wireless.

  As you can see all the software, after removing, let a few entries in the registry. In my opinion, you should remove the list of Device Manager wireless card and wireless connections. Restart the device and the wireless card should be recognized and installed again.

  I seriously need help with the recovery of critical data to my SD card. I use an SD card in my phone to store tons of personal data (passwords, numbers of a/c etc.). Today, all of a sudden the SD card has stopped working. When I put the card in the phone, the phone do bed not (know?) the map at all. It's as if the card is not there at all.

  I have a dv8000t supplied with XP.  I've upgraded to Vista 32, and after the driver updates and adding the SMCISEnable key in the registry, the SD card reader has worked well.

  Now when I try to use the SD cards, it is said: "you must format the drive until you can use it" as an error message.  I tried the SD cards on other computers, and they work, so I know that is only the HP dv8000t problem. This is perhaps the result of a Windows Service Pack or other update?  I have Vista Service Pack 2.

• Smart phone BlackBerry Smartphones search featureunder settings no longer works

  While in the settings, I used to be able to tap the magnifying glass and the type of keywords to quickly find a specific setting (for example hits 'Wi' to appear 'Wi - Fi calling Menu', which can be found manually through settings > more > caller Menu Wi - Fi). However, after the last update of system, most of my searches returns no results. I tried looking for a bunch of different settings, using a few letters or setting full/label, but almost all of the results are blank.

  What is strange, is that I was able to search with success the main Wi - Fi setting and the main setting of Bluetooth, but only after I opened manually these two parameters. For example, the first time that I searched 'wi', nothing came. Now, it brings up the main Wi - Fi setting (settings > Wi - Fi), but no other system settings that contain "wi". I was curious, why I was able to get at least a result during previous searches returned anything. I thought that maybe I had to manually open the connection setting Wi - Fi before it would recognize it as a game, so I tried this 'theory '. I searched 'b' and got no results. I went to settings, manually open the Bluetooth setting, then returned to the page main parameters and searched for 'b' again. It worked, bringing the main Bluetooth parameter. I have a little more luck with the other parameters of the system.

  I updated my Blackberry Curve 8900 over the weekend to

  v5.0.0.1036(Platform 5.2.0.104) provider is Vodafone.de

  This update was offered when connecting my device to BlackBerry Desktop Application.

  After this update is completed successfully, I discovered the problem the upper top right (usually used for mute) button does not send my camera in standby mode more when you press more than 3 seconds.

  This feature worked perfectly before this update. Unfortunately, I didn't know what version I was before, but as I do updates on more than less regular basis, I guess it was available previously.

  With this problem, I discovered something that works as different as before.

  When I press on the locking of the keyboard (upper left top button) button the lock is now enabled directly and

  the screen goes black. Before this update took place the owner details appeared when pressing this button and the display dims after the set time turns off.

  The details of the owner are correctly added and appear when you go to properties-owner.

  Of course, you can ask that... the most effective thing would be to go through your service provider for their support and to make this request. RIM/BlackBerry will listen to the questions and some of them (I think) much more than a user, that the carrier has more weight and shoot.

  I'll add that... This change in characteristics were made from last March, in ALL the operating systems for all devices... and has been included in all since. And then that there was much complaining about this function since then and during that period it have upgraded the OS in all areas, I don't think he'll change - in the next version for sure, or after.   After inserting an SD card on a computer with a new installation of Windows XP for the first time, the feature of automatic reading of your Windows XP edition operating system family does not work.   As far as I know, the Auto Play cannot start because WXP has not initialized your SD card device in the registry. What you can do is to restart the system with a SD card inserted in the SD card reader. This should reset the SD card registry entry.
