  I updated my Blackberry Curve 8900 over the weekend to

  After this update is completed successfully, I discovered the problem the upper top right (usually used for mute) button does not send my camera in standby mode more when you press more than 3 seconds.

  Of course, you can ask that... the most effective thing would be to go through your service provider for their support and to make this request. RIM/BlackBerry will listen to the questions and some of them (I think) much more than a user, that the carrier has more weight and shoot.

  Nope... not quite. To actually run, applications must be installed in the protected area of AppMemory. All that exists are tips on how to remove/reinstall applications on demand, by placing some sort of swap file on the SD card. But, when you want the app, the device has no choice but to install it at AppMemory... sometimes requiring a reboot to do.

  AppWorld itself has a feature called Archive for the apps that you have obtained via AppWorld that does this. There is another app called Aziere Card Loader (I might have messed up the spelling) who claims to do as well.

  Personally, I found that it is most annoying that they are worth. But that's just me.

  I got my SD card in my phone for a few months, all of a sudden one day it stopped to read the map.  It's a 4 GB sd card.  I already formatted the card and still nothing.  Also, I tried to use it in my sisters phone, a Blackjack, and it works fine. I also put it in my computer and everything that was on the bed of the card to the computer to my phone just isn't picking up the card.

  Yesterday, I downloaded the latest app facebook to my Q10, because I was excited to be able to choose the setting for the news feed. I ALWAYS want the most recent messages on top of my news feed!

I just want my most recent messages on top (just like the desktop version of facebook).  However, as I look at my calendar on my Q10, I see a post from 3 days ago (an eternity in the smartphone era) on top of my calendar. The new facebook application, I cannot change that.

  There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) application memory, the device memory) 2 and 3) Media/SD Card Memory.

  Application memory - it is the most important; It is protected (not available to the user), dedicated and (fixed size) space as the destination for the installation of applications (more a few storage applications, overhead and other costs). You can't touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can install only here... There is no other choice.

  The device memory - it is space on your BB you can touch these files, images, media, etc. In general, it is not very big, but it is available.

  Memory card SD/Media- is what it says... your SD card to store files, media, photos, etc.. It can be as large as your BB OS can support... see this KB:

  As you have discovered, AppWorld is not available everywhere. There must be agreement between RIM, carriers and the Government in order to provide the AppWorld.

  In addition, you should know that AppWorld is simply a portal, vending apps developed mainly by others. Therefore, it is not your exclusive supply source - there are others that you can try (e.g., Handango, Handmark, BPlay, GetJAR and Mobihand). I found that there are very few applications that is exclusive to AppWorld. You can see the online catalogue and then look for other sources of supply, including quite often on the developer website.

  What people were saying and what I think you are talking about is when you submit your application in the store, it may fail. What people do on a Mac is to rename the generated .ipa from Flash in .zip and then expand it. Then they go in the file that unpacks it called "payload". There is a .app file, which is the file that wants the store. You extract this file, rename to IPA and download that.

  If you search google for "Flash zip ipa extract apple store" or a similar barrage of keyword you will find instructions on this process. And Yes, you can also rename a .ipa in .zip and extract it as well under Windows. You will find a folder of payload, and a .app inside.
