• BlackBerry Smartphones New 9900 s - cannot update cell phones

  Just bought two 9900 and installed (twice so far) the program BB Desktop Software. The difficulty to complete the update of the first phone software. Finally managed to configure and then synchronize the phone. However, under the 'Applications' tab in the desktop software, there was a software update and two other programs to install (I think that's something DOD and another to install.) When I launched the update and install, I could see the files being downloaded apparently, but now the screen appears to be locked in the applications of update - update - box device software download, with the green circle progress assets. The progress at the bottom of the box bar says "Connecting to the boot ROM" above him, but there is no indication of progress in the last 3 hours.   Thanks for the reply. I got a bit of a workaround for my particular situation. I had tried several times to use the Blackberry Desktop program on a Windows XP virtual machine, that will run on a linux host (as bb is not so far seem to think to provide a linux version of the program for linux users is worth.) Subsequently, I decided to get the wireless working on the laptop, what boots double and install the program office bb on xp he. Although she gave me even a few error messages, I could do the update of the OS and install the 2 other programs on my bb. Also found my outlook contacts and their transfer to my cell.   Can someone help me with my BlackBerry smartphone! < br > < br > 4 days ago, I went into a store and joined promo called "Swap and Switch BlackBerry. I swapped my old BlackBerry to a new curve 9320/7.1.0.398 (B1319) basically, I live in the Philippines and my carrier is Globe telecom. And for some reason, my battery does not work to my expectation, I need to load 2 - 3 times a day even though I'm not a heavy user. I get 3 emails per day, no call, I have BBM, I receive text messages but I don't answer, I have facebook but not twitter, I play from time to time the music and SURFs the internet. but it goes too fast for me. It is the only small curve battery? < br > < br > I got all my settings tweaked, together the brightness up to 10%, 10seconds backlight time, battery-saving mode is ON, delete all my apps removed third-party social feeds also, my network is 2 g, removal of updates on my BBM, off GPS, past before bedside mode that I sleep and I always make sure that no other applications running in the background to name a few! Believe me, I did save all tricks I could stack, but nothing seems to work. < br > < br > I regularly check my CPU usage, but no application seems to run in the background, even did some research on how to properly load a Li-ion battery, but my battery drain is still at 11-12%/hr. What should I do?

  I updated my version of the OS, I'll give it a week and see if it improves my battery.

• BlackBerry Smartphones BB Messenger disappeared after update

  I downloaded the new update to Blackberry Device Software v5.0 yesterday, and I discovered that my Blackberry Messenger has disappeared.  Here's what I tried to get it back (and none of them worked):

  1A tried to 'restore' my BBM several times

  2 reset (pull out the battery) on my phone several times

  3. delete the "restore BBM" button/option (which, for whatever reason, deleted my application AppWorld) and re-installed BBM

  My phone details are below.  If you have any suggestions on how I can fix this, please help!  I love BBM and I would like to start using it again.

  I found the fix that works is to remove the app BBMessenger Options > Advanced > Applications.

  Then restart: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  Once back to the top, then use your BlackBerry browser to go to http://www.blackberry.com/blackberrymessenger and download and install the application again.

  Once completed and restart the device once again, look in the instant messaging or downloads folder.

  I received a notice from Blackberry to an update available to the OS (5.0.0.882) but I'm unable to download wireless, via Blackberry Desktop or via the Blackberry site. My current version is 5.0.0.629. My service provider, Rogers Wireless, has no version 5.0.0.882 available on their web page. I get an error message indicating that an error occurred when downloading software for your device. Please check your internet connection or try again later, if the problem persists. I tried to update using my desktop and my laptop and can find no explanation either on the Blackberry site, nor the site Web of Rogers Wireless.

  Try to download the software directly to your computer and use the BlackBerry Desktop Manager to perform the update.

  For two weeks, I use a Blackberry Bold 9900 with OS7.1 and I am very satisfied with the device.

  But there are some questions for which I have found no solution:

  (*) Looking back at my old Siemens S10D or SK65, they had an option to synchronize the internal clock with time of the GSM network information. Will there be a similar option in the Bold 9900? What I found was an option in the date and time settings. But when I put "Government aktualisieren" (setting the time) on 'automatic' then time switches to October 5, 2013, 12:20 and nothing happens. Is it possible to connect to an NTP server? If so, where to enter the address?

  If you are looking to update the OS device to version 4.5, you can find the version you have by going to Options | Everything. The version will be listed as v4.x.x.xxx

  Finally, the storm came in my country, and I decided to give him a chance. I must say that the phone is excellent and that he had only a few small problems with the software. The storm came here to Chile with the 4.7.0.122 version and it works really well. However, I see that it is a new version of the software for users of Verizon in the USA, which eliminates many, many bugs from the old software.

• BlackBerry Smartphones New - fatal error during the first update by using the Office Manager phone

  During my first update using the Desktop Manager, there were 13 steps, and I had to unplug to half way through.

  Now when I try to repeat the process, the update gets steps 1-6 and just after reconnecting to JVM (step 6) I get a "fatal error update device software, please try again" I tried several times and it always stops in the same place.  The phone then has the radio turned off, and I have to restore the connections.

  I'm not an irritable person, so any help would be appreciated.

  Never disconnect during an update. Never.

  This is therefore a new phone, follow the instructions below.

  First, remove the battery from the BlackBerry when lit, to subject a minuite, replace and see if it restarts. If this is not the case, continue below.

  First find your operator and the system operating file that you want to use.

  1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
  2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
  3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

  Hello!

  In my opinion, the "best" method is via the Desktop Manager software... it's the method that gives you the opportunity to do a full manual backup... pre-installation needed something catastrophic occur during the update process. Yes, the update via DTM also offers a backup during the process (and you should say 'yes' to that), but a secondary backup, taken outside of the update process, could be invaluable.

  You can still downgrade the OS to what you had before... but you didn't state what kind 83xx curve you. Look at the Options > subject, what model?

  What is your operating system loaded on your device? Look at the Options > about third down line starting with a "v.5.0.x.xxx", what is yours?

  I just got the phone with a (useless) operator of tech support Tmobile is off.  She informed me there will be a software update in two weeks after Christmas.  As a Mac user, once more that I am facing the issue where / how do I get the update.

  I have other issues as well with my curve.  My keyboard on my curve is not light one in vain.  If I remove my battery once more!   I received an email with an attachment and wasn't able to open is not the first time that this has happened.  Can I open the attachments on the curve.

  I'm hate TMobile and BB lately, so I'm ready to buy an Iphone. Can anyone help?  Please...

  I have the same problem.  I noticed after a couple of times to take my battery in and out that it was the increased pressure that makes the backlight on the keyboard works.  Then I noticed that when I pressed on the front of the BB, the keypad lights up and dissipate.

  I called TMobile, and because I'm still under warranty (for another week or two), they agreed to replace it.

  I know other people with the same problem.  I think it's a matter of BB and not a matter of TMobile, since this is my 4th phone already in less than a year!
