BlackBerry smartphones # of rings!

As silly as it sounds... I can't for the life of figure me out how tro set the number of rings

until it goes to voicemail?

(A) the method the simplest is to call your operator and requires longer time to ring, up to 30 seconds. The carriers regularly set to 15 seconds.

(B) If you have a GSM based phone, some have had success by calling that number from your phone: * 61 * XXXXXXXXXXX * 30 #.

  • Replace XXXXXXXXXXX with your message center number voice carrier (find him looking at your phone dialer > Options > VoiceMail > access number.) Put your access instead of the Xs above number.

For example, the T-Mobile voice mail access number is 18056377243, and would therefore be the string to dial * 61 * 18056377243 * 30 #.

  • Replace the 30, the end of the string with your desired seconds. For most carriers, 30 seconds, it is the longest allowed.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Well, you can choose music you hate and make a ring tone

On your BB you configure to use the FORT profile and put all your tones for the great?

If so and you do not always hear them, I would go on the site of the carrier that had the obnoxiouz of trills and see if

they sell it as a ringtone. Is must be in the proper format. In fact, here a list of the formats supported for the BB.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Low ring volumn

Recently given a blackberry 9000 and fell for T-Mobile. Noise is loud, but I can't always hear the ring when in the Holster.  Sound can be reactivated?  What is a characteristic of 9000?

Ringtones are everywhere.  Hat over the www.crackberry.com is a way to go.  Also, you should be able to get ringtones from your provider.  I have never installed it on my phone so I'm not an expert in the field.

With respect to the frequency of the rings, the fact that you are now running on another network shouldn't matter.  Carriers dictate how long a ring will go before going to voicemail, but except that they are all pretty much standard.

EDIT: Well, I just visited www.crackberry.com and downloaded the Hockey Night in Canada theme (free).  It was pretty easy to do, it doesn't cost me anything, it sounds good... I guess I'm an expert on the subject now!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones phone rings only 2 times

I have asked before about it and told me how to fix it. Well for some reason, that the phone is returned to ring only 2 times again and it is does not me enough time to respond! Someone knows how to fix this? Have the phone set to vibrate and ring to take a part of the alarm time or something? I do not know. Just try to understand it.

I had to ring 3 times by disabling the tone + vibrate off and just keep it on your. But I'll call t-mobile and see if there is anything else they could do.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones phone rings twice, then voice mail active. Help, please...

    Hello

I have a problem where my 9500 Storm during the reception of incoming calls, ringing twice and then clicks right in the mailbox. I checked my cell voicemail box configuration providers and everything seems correct (I'm with Vodafone España). I placed my SIM card in an old Nokia and resonates about 4 or 5 times until the voicemail comes into play. My conclusion is that it is a phone number. Is this good?

Is this a bug or do I have to change something in the settings of the phone?

The phone is set with old style phone by default.

    I'm under the new firmware.78.

    Clues?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

Thanks for your advice. You are absolutely right. My mailbox has been set to activate after 15 seconds the ringer. I rang my Storm from my landline and two rings passed before the phone responded. On the third ring vibrée the storm. On the 4th ring, you could hear the ringtone. The fifth, a break in the ring. And then the sixth ring again. Date on which 15 seconds had elapsed and the voicemail kicks in giving the impression that the storm had rung only twice.

Now, I asked my carrier to extend it to 30 secs and all right.

    Thanks again.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones incoming ring tone is too short

the incoming ring type is too short, this causes problems because it does give me enough time to answer a call before diverting to answering machine, it sounds in fact only once after him vibrating

You can change your profile to set virbrate once if you wish, then it will make the sound ring a little longer.

You can call your operator and ask a ringtime liked to your voicemail. By default, the carrier assigned to 15 seconds, you can take up to 30 seconds.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones phone rings but I cannot hear caller on the other end

I only had my phone for a few days and something went terribly wrong!  The phone seems to work fine until I downloaded the BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.5.0.152 (Multilingual) of late update last night. This morning I noticed by examining ringtones already on the phone that I couldn't play, but I thought I was doing something wrong because I could hear when I started using the phone.

Immediately after the software was updated, I had to change the settings of the radio so that I could access internet again (I think of radio settings). Is there a setting on the phone that I need to update, or something else I can do to fix this?

Thank you very much in advance!

So to be clear, it happens, that keep you the battery, things work fine for awhile, then it happens again, and you need new pop the battery?

Is the release of the OS device you have installed certified by your carrier? Or is this a leaked version? You can check the version of your operator here:

You could also try the device OS - something maybe went a little bit last night installing.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones No. rings or vibrates on 8530

Since yesterday I can listen to no longer have any kind of sounds, whether alerts, ringtones, Pandora, etc.. And my phone vibrates any more, either.  My sound setting is Normal, and I have all the settings 'ON '. I have not updated the operating system for about 2 weeks, so I don't think it was a problem. However, it seems that this started right after scanning a bar code on a site for a film. I went to the site to watch the trailer and there was a bar code, saying to scan for more movie content. He started to play a video, and a few seconds inside my locked phone. I had to turn off because none of the keys worked. I have it turned on, but did not really notice that there is no sound. I had to put the phone in silent mode, because I had to go to work. It was after this that I have not noticed any noise.

I'm on my way to the nearest Sprint Store to see if they can fix it. All the suggestions of the members of the forum would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Bold 9700 will not ring

Hello guys. I have a problem with my BB Phone. It does not ring. When people try to contact me, it just doesn't sound. I have v.5.0.0.586. I tried rebooting by removing the battery, but still the same problem. Could someone help me please?

    Hi BiancaBogdan

It's fine if your device passes self-test.

Have you tried to change your ringtone to any default ringtone?

If the problem persists, then it could be a software problem, but this is my personal advice to stay on OS 5, because the Bold 9700 doen't have enough memory to run OS6, you can install it on your Bold 9700 OS6 but you will have to confront the issue with little memory, will not be able to install the application a lot , multiple tabs, you may experience problems such as freezing and trolling device. I suggest that you should stay on OS5 and try to perform a clean OS Reload that will correct any software problem.

first make a backup of your device using desktop software:

KB12487 : How to backup BlackBerry smartphone data using BlackBerry desktop software for Windows

Then follow this KB to recharge your device software:

KB11320  : How to perform a reload own BlackBerry Device using BlackBerry desktop software for windows software

After charging, do not restore any 3rd party application from your backup, choose a selective restore, restore only your Contacts, calendar, memo etc. Check your device and see if the problem resolves. If the problem continues then you can start with the native BlackBerry application and continue with the others.

Try it and tell us your progress.

  • ID blocked BB blackBerry smartphones

    Hello

I tried to access my world of bb in vain, because my bb ID is blocked. I tried several times to ecover, but system kept sending the password on the account that I can't get access.

Can someone tell me how to solve this problem? I have a BB 8520 curve

Thank you much for the help

    Hello

For security reasons, password reset emails never reach the BB itself. So, you need to separate access to this email account to receive and treat the password reset.

If you used the e-mail account is also available (for example, GMail, Yahoo, etc.), and then simply use a browser/PC and their webmail interface.

If the email account you used is only accessible through the BB (hosted @carrier, @bb, etc.), then you need to apply a rule to redirect on that account so that you can receive email elsewhere (for example, GMail, Yahoo, etc.):

    • KB28232 Reset blackBerry ID e-mail are not delivered to the mailbox associated with
    • KB28111 Impossible to reset the BlackBerry ID password when using a hosted BlackBerry email address

If you really have no way to access this email account, or if the e-mail account has been deleted, then you are stuck... and must make a decision...

If you have no AppWorld or other files that you need to keep (for example, buy folders for the applications), then simply drop the BB ID and create a new. To do so, however, requires a device WIPE:

    • Be sure to check the link in my sig auto on this post... you need to be sure you have a good local backup on a computer
    • KB26694 How to change the BlackBerry ID on a BlackBerry smartphone or BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet

If you do not have AppWorld documents that you need to keep, then you need human intervention. To receive, you must ring to the top of your mobile service provider and convince them to escalate your case up to BlackBerry. In addition, you must convince BlackBerry you with a solution - which probably will be reset your current BB ID so that you can access it again or you will need to create a new BBID and they will manually move your purchase to the wire records. Note that I don't know if they will be willing to do, but there is no other way I know of to keep your purchase records BBID/AppWorld prerequisites.

    Good luck!

  • Automatic synchronization with handsfree blackBerry Smartphones

Can I set up my device automatically accepting the request of my hands-free sync. For now, I have to manually accept each time I get in my car?

    Hello

No, no, what you are experiencing is certainly not normal... BBs can, when properly configured, automatically connect to compatible car kits. See this reference:

    • KB18576 The BlackBerry smartphone always invites you to connect to a Bluetooth connection instead of the automatic connection

The problem is that, if there is a similar setting inside your car kit who also needs adjustment, then there is no way for RIM to provide statement... you will need to return to the installer you originally used.

FYI... your desire to 'just phone a Helpdesk of RIM' is admirable, but moved. When you bought your BB and subscribed to services, you have learned how the BB support model works. RIM has no service support for you in the ring upward. Rather, the model of care is distributed with carriers and authorized dealers taking primary formal support to their end users, with the possibility for them to escalate if RIM that they cannot resolve.

    Good luck!
