• Removal of blackBerry Smartphones Torch 9810 "Enterprise activation".

  Bought new 9810 direct Telus phone without contract. Have you tried the factory reset to remove "Enterprise Activation" request. Just want to Setup and access personal e-mail. I don't have a data plan with the contract that I have. Any idea, any suggestions or do I need to connect with Telus?

  Unless you use an active ATT sim, the only way to upgrade this device to the marshmallow is to reload the operating system.

  This will clear the device completely, accordingly, backup anything important first so that you can restore it later.

• BlackBerry Smartphones Torch 9810 - Docs to go Sync - Drag and drop? You must be kidding me.

Can you tell us, 'waste of time' or 'non-productive '? I knew you could (/ obscure Mr. Rogers).

  RIM markets itself to a lot of things in what concerns the business community. As a businessman for 30 years, I find that this last "step-back" is absurd.

  I know that there is a new version of the OS 7. I would * hope * that RIM is developing a new version of office compatible w/OS 7. I have NO problem to pay for it, when and if it becomes available. Heck, I'd be a beta user!

  If that was the position of the RIM, I will strongly consider an iPhone. I love the 9810. Great phone. The only advantage for BB now is push email. I'm going to eat the cost of a switch, because the sum of $ spent (including passage of AT & T to Verizon) will be re-cut several times on the savings in my "time" and less aggravation.

  These two questions are thinkers.  While there's been rumors that RIM would incorporate this feature in an update of the operating system 7, in the true shape of the RIM, they confirm anything until the update is a reality.  It is the same for the AT & T update.

  I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

  It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

  If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

  But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '.   'New' is a delicate issue... the controls of each carrier that they will release their users. A carrier may be faster than that, so most "recent" is always a question of double-"which is most recent of my carrier?" as well as "which is most recent overall?"

  For your comparison, make sure you understand clearly what is your currently installed operating system:

  The first question (your "most recent" carriers) is quite simple to answer. You navigate through the portal of official download:

  your operator, and then select your model, and then compare the different versions that they currently to sanction. You compare based on 'Applications' values:

For example, when I was on the 9860 on ATT, they were very slow to migrate from 7.0, 7.1, but the 'solutions' and the features added to the 7.1 have been pretty important to me. So I chose to use a package from another carrier (via the tip for the removal of the SELLER. XML files). You may or may not have a similar need.
