  I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

  (1) registry HRT

  • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

  (2) remove and return Service directories

  • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
  • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

  (3) restart to take batt

  • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning.   Hi everyone, just a quick update: it turns out that it's a problem/bug BlackBerry already know and are trying to solve. There was an update from 01/09/16 for the Contacts app, but it doesn't seem to work when I installed the update. Workaround that I was advised to use in the meantime is as follows:

  • Deselect auto-updated option on Play store -in the game store, tap 3 horizontal lines in the 'search' box to set up your account > settings > auto-update apps > not auto-implementation update app

  • Contacts to revert to the version of factory default - settings > Apps > select Contacts and then:

  1. Click on clear Cache
  2. Press Force
  3. Press on uninstall updates
  4. Press OK when you are prompted to do so

  Given that I had no solution and nothing to lose, I decided to reset the factory setting

  my Blackberry by smoothing on...

  And guess what... Everything seems to work perfectly well. I was able to set

  e-mail messages. Browser and Blackberry logo are here! So I guess that there are incompatibilities

  with the settings already on the phone and the new (from my ISP).

  In any case I still don't know why it is still written Activation required on top of my screen and also

  When I switch on the mobile, it is still not able to 'register' on the phone. Even if every thing

  seems to work fine now.
