BlackBerry smartphones, trying to find a 3.5 mm female connector RCA audio cable for my BB Storm 9530 of TELUS

I just didn't know it would be such a drag...

All I want to do is send my car audio from my BB to A / V system of... I have to join since the release of 4 segments / contact, 3.5 mm on the female RCA BB.

BB online store does not carry such an item (not even close enough to get involved at the end of the cord GBA adapters) and they referred me to BB T.S., that struck me immediately to the KB (no useful result for "audio patch cord") and here (once again, no useful for the same search result).

Which gives rise to another feeling - I'm angry at the way the owners of BB are treated in trying to get the T.S. which is apparently outside carriers (TELUS) or (CMS Live) ability of dealers to answer - and Yes, I tried both.

So, this notion of the mine must have developed before... no one knows what the schema for the BB 3.5 mm output jack is?  I do not want to scramble a par 3 segments / 3.5 mm stereo contact plug here and perhaps something short.

Thank you... FFF

I don't know if we can post external links on this forum or not, but here is the Radio Shack (theshack 'dot' com) patch cable page http://www.radioshack.com/family/index.jsp?s=A-StorePrice-RSK&x=7&y=8&categoryId=2032251&pg=1&search...

I think it's the best place to find odd cables and connectors... If someone actually they will have it.

  • Convenient to blackBerry Smartphones, based on recommended experience device (f/w? /) s/w version (s) for all PC activities oriented the TELUS Mobility BB Tour 9630

Hey all the... I wonder if I can pick the brains of the people and get good advice re: practice based experience recommended device (f/w? /) s/w version (s) for all PC activities oriented the TELUS Mobility BB Tour 9630, including PC-resident s/w (pkgs) & USB / USB Serial drivers (on XP Pro SP3).

I will probably be wanting to improve various (f/w? /) components s/w after a hiatus of three years on the BB before... However, based on my own experience of technology, newer / more recent (f/w?) / s/w (pkgs) is (are) not always the best for the end user and, same can be limiting in some identifiable ways... I'm speaking in general terms here... so... it might be the last BB s/w is the absolute best way to go for my PC o/s and turn device platform... I'm just out there throwing this idea to make a educated to determine what updates to install and what level of version, in the case where the generalized suspicion that I have described above have no worth.

I don't have (or want) data enabled on the 9630, then, have screen capture or copied the text that he (like all the information in the Options > topic: "BlackBerry (R) 9630, smartphone (3G, CDMA), v5.0.0.419 (Platform 4.2.0.179)", 3G bands 1... "") ([and, or course, there is much more information on this screen...]) me (any suggestion or help on this front would be greatly appreciated) have so far escaped... perhaps the most relevant appliance version information required by the members of the forum to help me to decide this question also appear in my PC screenshots below.

Hello! Thanks for the clarification... they help greatly to understand your request. Here is my opinion:

In simpler terms... should I upgrade my TELUS Tour 9630 software (currently at: v5.0.0.419 [Platform 4.2.0.179] of the most currently available software, regardless of the version # / platform # which may be?)

Or, is it an advantage in the upgrade only to a certain level of version of BlackBerry OS on this particular device?

For your 9630, you're already on the last level of operating system that fate/Telus media. I don't know if other carriers have published anything more advanced, but you can read a very good discussion here:

Of after what I saw, I would assume that there is nothing 'new' than you... at least not officially... but you can dig through the portal to download official to validate the fact that:

Given that it's carriers who hold responsibility for the release of BB OS packages to their clients, this portal is indeed sorted first by carrier... so you must first dig to find out which carriers support your 9630 and then compare packages of OS coming to present each company support. Unfortunately, it is also the responsibility of carriers to release change log information, but too much of them is rather lax on this point. But this thread I linked to above has I think some very good information that could help you in your quest. You should also look for other threads here (and elsewhere) on similar topics.

And, I had to upgrade the driver USB BlackBerry / USB Serial Driver / Device Manager / Desktop Manager software on my XP Pro SP 3 PC to newer versions? (1st post screenshots all present the current version # s... this software was installed all around mid-2009)

Or, is there an advantage in upgrading only at certain levels of version of the BlackBerry software for each of the above elements... in the case of this particular device?

Desktop software does not care the specific device. On the contrary, it gives some capabilities that you choose. For example, if you need the ability to export your BB to CSV/ASCII, then you need to stay in the range of version 6 because this feature has been removed from version 7. Similarly, if you intend to synchronize your BB with a computer (-) office or PIM, you must make sure that you run a Desktop software version that is compatible with your PIM:

    • KB12268 Support for synchronization for BlackBerry Desktop Software for Windows

If none of those that are important and/or compatibility is fine with the latest version, it is often wiser to stick to the latest bug fixes, feature enhancements, etc. Is doesn't want to is not to say that people have no problems with the latest version through the Desktop board software on this site is confirm that pretty quickly! But, in general, there should be no harm/no foul to the use of the latest version of the with your BB desktop software.

In addition, it is always a good idea to also download and install on your PC the BB OS package that is actually running on your BB. This is a little personalized Desktop software so that it can better work with your specific environment of BB. You cannot choose which components within the desktop software you want to update (mentioning "point line" you did)... instead, you install the whole package, and it contains within everything there as 'in progress' based on the global version of the Desktop software package.

    Hope that helps! Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones trying to find wifi blackberry access WITHOUT

I'm trying to finf a blackberry with a QWERTY keyboard phone ISN'T just a wi - fi access. I don't really know much about cell phones, so if anyone out there has any suggestions as to what models I should, please speak in terms laymans. I have a child in college who asked a QWERTY texting phone but doesn't have wi - fi connectivity. This who should I look for? Thanks a lot for your hel

There is no device without wifi band. All devices BB10 (Q10, Classic, passport, etc.) have the Parental control and while you can not turn off wifi completely, you can disable the browser, camera, BBM, Twitter, Facebook, Upload on Youtube, configuration of the email account, location information, buy BBWorld, install Applications and content. You can also disable the phone calls and text messages from people who are not contacts on the device.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones trying to find sent folder on BB "BOLD"

I had an incident recently when I thought that I had sent an email to my BB "BOLD", but the recipient said that they have not received it. After flirting with PocketMac (yuck!) it has a sync of sent messages with file browser sent mail feature. I guess that's able to do this because somewhere on the BB, there is a folder that contains my saved, deleted, sent folders, etc. in the same way that it keeps the calls and SMS logs.

Am I right in this assumption and, if yes, where is the folder that saves sent messages?

I tried, but the folder hierarchy only shows folders Inbox, and spam for each e-mail domain. As for SMS and MMS there are boxes and boxes to send, there is no sent folder.

I'm sure that when I first got the "BOLD" and explored around the characteristics that I came across records sent and delete but I could never reproduce it.

  • BlackBerry smartphone how to find BlackBerry backup voice note files?

I don't know where my BlackBerry backup files are?  If I find I can look to see if a series of voicenotes I did in October/November is there & can I restore these?

    Hello

Voice memos are not elements of database and therefore are not part of the backup procedure... see this:

    • KB03974 List of database for the blackBerry smartphone

These databases are what manages the backup process. With some versions of the Desktop software, you could include the content of the memory of the device... so if your voice memos were stored there, then they should thus be included in the backup file... and you had a selective memory of the device only restore to restore (keeping in mind that it will restore ALL the memory of the device not only the voice Notes).

You can use a drive IPD/BBB, part 3 on your PC... I heard good things about MagicBerry... to analyze your backup file to see exactly what it contains.

If the files in question are not contained in the IPD/BBB file and were not copied separately (for example, via the mass storage Mode) to the PC, then if they are also cleared from the BB, then files are unfortunately gone for good.

Overall, my own personal for my weekly Desktop software backup process is to make the backup with the desktop software, but then more, via the mass storage Mode, copy all the contents of my device memory and Media Card on my PC as well... just in case... you never know what might happen. Oh... and I included a manual backup of my BBM contacts to my media card as well.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones trying to dl TiVo app, but appworld says not available for my device or carrier

    Hello

I am trying to download the new application TiVo, but appworld says not available for my device or carrier.  It is not compatible with the TiVo application start page: I have a 9630 and I'm with Verizon (on a BES) in the United States.  I was able to download other applications without problem.

I have updated the application appworld itself, earlier in the day today.

I rebooted and also tried a battery pull but no joy.

Is there something I need to do to the idea of referesh appworld in my device + carrier, or is this a problem at the end of wheels?

    Any ideas?  Thank you.  -Scott

  • BlackBerry Smartphones don't want my AOL Email to be displayed in the mailbox for MESSAGES

I get email in BOTH places.    I don't want the email appears in the mailbox with text and voicecalls... I just want my email is displayed in the 'green' mail envelope

So... does - anyone know how to program the 8300 'not' put my AOL mail in the Inbox mailbox messages?   I've messed around with almost all of the menus... trying to find a way... but no luck.

    Thank you

On your BB device, you have a 'main' folder, which brings together all emails, messages, SMS, messages etc. POLES.

It is as expected. You can delete SMS text messages in a separate folder (message > Menu > Options > General Options > scroll to SMS and Email inboxes and choose > separate.)

You also have an AOL email inbox.  You can hide it, you really don't need.
