  Click the icon of your BB Messenger.

  Highlight Contacts > press menu (button to the left of the trackball)

  Click "add to Contacts".

  This will take you to the address book... Scroll to the top, click "Use once"

  Press menu again and select... "Request email" type their e-mail address.  This will send the request to the selected recipient.

  Or

  Choose 'Ask pine', if you already know its pin code #.

  In both cases, the request must be accepted by the recipient before you can have added them as a contact.

   

  They will appear as "pending" until they agreed.

However, when I try to post on Facebook, it gives an error. The error is "your message was sent NOT Facebook. The pop-up message instantly, so I think that the phone is not even an attempt to make the post. I can post on Twitter and BBM, however.

  If the old BB is really dead, then it is not available as a source for restoring your data to your new device. Instead, you must use another source, one that you created before the old BB died.

  If you made a backup of office, you can use the backup as a restore source file:

• BlackBerry Smartphones only restore BBM contacts - how?

  How can I restore ONLY my BBM contacts using the desktop software?  I looked through the choice of data but none like the right. I have a Torch 9800 and I use the latest office software. (6.0 bundle 1907)

  I use my BB especially for work it is setup with connection of mail company so last week when I had problems they have wiped my BB and now my email and business contacts sync works well again but I lost all my BBM contacts.

  In the restore office option, I use the "select parameters and device data" to select data to restore, but I cannot easily determine what type of data I should be restore so I didn't wipe my e-mail contacts existing or other parameters. Given that I had about 60 BBM contacts fields that show a counter that is close (and therefore looks promising) to the correct quantity are: Messages, folders, store of Trusted keys, stored key pocket, and recent contacts.

  Any help or thoughts are appreciated.

  The appropriate injector is there. It's a shame you didn't otherwise save your BBM contacts... BBM itself offers the possibility to make a backup of contacts... I've always found that more useful than the ability to backup/restore of desktop software.

  My daughter has recently updated its Blackberry and gave me his old 8900 after she had adjustment all data in its new phone. She was on a Vodafone contract.

  I removed my SIM my old Motarola pay-as-you-go and equipped, everything beautiful, 8900 operational. All my contacts appeared but when I go to add or change a contact, I can't access the Add Contact screen, I can open the contacts (change back ' nt work either), but could not open the screen Add Contact said.

  The phone is unlocked, and Orange are indifferent to the problem.

  Since I've had a lot of response from the support Forum, I finally cured the problem myself.

  When I inserted the SIM Orange I neglected to erase all of the hand of all previous data to sim card,

  To do this: -.

  1. remove the sim card and multimedia card

  2. go to Options / Security Options / General Settings

  3. press the menu button and select "Wipe Handheld" and click Yes to confirm

  You then end up empty void that phone if you made a backup, then you can restore all the data back into the phone. Tri!
