BlackBerry software BlackBerry link installation problem

Hey,.

All my Blackberry updates seem to have lived without fault and I always look forward to the new features.

However, the BlackBerry link does not seem to complete its installation. He's going through the motions of the installation, including the installation of Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable - W8. It then passes through the Installshield for BlackBerry link 1.2.1. I have so far only selected 'Fix' and when finished it says "BlackBerry link 1.2.1 is installed successfully.

It seems that the process comkpletes ok, but when restart, link to Blackberry after a few moments, I get a message on the title bar with a red circle and star white that says «Software update available» When you click inside the box and it says Version 1.2.1.31 and update of software available.

If I click on install, went through the whole process.

It's more an embarrassment than anything, but if it can be fixed for the next update, it would be appreciated.

If it is a fairly unique phenomenon, it can be linked to the fact that I use on W2K12, not W8.

Thank you

Bob.

  • Software BlackBerry Blackberry link installs?

    Hi all

I recently got a BB Z10 in connection with a contract and I've updated my BB Z10 to version 10.2.0.424... now, my problem is the BB link as shown in the topic... I've never installed a BB related software on my pc, and I have BB download link on the site (version 1.2.2.13) and when I install the BB link, it stops near the end and says that it cannot install because previous versions cannot be installed on the site from BB link... It indicates that you need BB link v1.0.1 or later to install this version, which is impossible because I can't find versions older anywhere... I tried to install it several times and it still did the same thing... Please someone help me here, either give or show me where I can get v1.0.1 BB link or how do I solve this problem... I tried to repair and reinstall same link, but the problem persists.  Any ideas?

    Thanking you advance a solution.

OK, so the operating system is WIN 7 SP1 and Visual C ++ could be 2005, 2008, 2010 and 2013.  I don't know you are using.

Some programs have been installed before the fault that appear, but some have been uninstalled.

I was encouraged to re - install Link, but this time I checked the box to delete the existing settings so that the later installation would be "clean".

It worked, so that some of the settings were incorrect due to the Elimination of some programs that are accessible by link.

I would recommend to all those who have problems of this type link check the deletion settings to uninstall because clearly this would cause the link to fail if anything here is false.

Thank you for your time and I hope that it will be useful to others.

  • Software BlackBerry Blackberry Link will not install on Windows 8 (64-bit) portable

    Hello

I try to install Blackberry Link on my laptop that is running Windows 8 (64-bit), but without success.

On the Blackberry.com website I download the file "100_b075_multilanguage" (have tried both hit "run" and save it and then hit "run").

After a context menu titled "Configuring installshield" that contains a progress bar (which does not progress) another contextual menu titled "Windows Installer" appears.

The first line of this new pop-up says "Windows Installer V 5.0.9200 16384.

The second line says ' msiexec/option [optional parameter] '.

There is then a load of text showing install Options / Display Options but no way to select one of these options.

Downstairs is an OK button and when I press this process stops and returns me to the windows of the laptop screen.

Things I've tried without success: -.

    • Disable the antivirus
    • Change the User Account Control (UAC) to "never notify".
    • Restart the portable computer in "safe mode".
    • Reinstall Windows 8 for the built-in recovery partition

Would appreciate any help / suggestions on how to solve this problem and get Blackberry installed link.

  • Software BlackBerry Blackberry Link fails to communicate with the device

I hope that there could be some additional elements that could help with a problem I've seen with BlackBerry link. We have a user who has three computers he uses to back up his passport for Blackberry (depending on its location at the time). A laptop has started to display the communication error, it is stated in the subject line. BlackBerry connection on two other devices have no problem of communication with the phone.

The device works on OS 10.3.2.2474, although the issue does not appear to be tied to a software update. We confirmed that the user was able to save his device to the affected machine after it has updated to this OS level.

Initially, when it connects the device to the computer, the BlackBerry Device Manager does not detect a connected device. After change of the cable USB and the realization of step 2 below, the Device Manager and link show the connected device. However, the link always displays the communication error. The user is a local administrator on the system.

    I tried the things:

    1. update to the latest version of link.

    2. retrograde to Blackberry link 1.2.3.56, which is the version installed on two systems of work.

3 uninstalled link 1.2.3.56 and performed a manual cleanup of old files, such as noted in Blackberry KB35666 http://support.blackberry.com/kb/articleDetail?articleNumber=000035666&language=English, to delete the files from the driver to the previously installed version.

4 reinstalled link 1.2.3.56, which gave me a perfect match for all the drivers on the affected system and two systems of work.

    5. manually created firewall rules that appear on work mDNSResponder.exe, nginx.exe and tunmgr.exe systems. The application for peermanager.exe rule created on an affected system.

6a played with .NET. The system was originally installed 4.51. I uninstalled and installed 4.0 (which is the version required by the 1.2.3.56 link). Later, I've upgraded to .NET 4.52.

7 off completely Windows Firewall and antivirus on the system. Neither touched the issue.

8 connectivity test using another profile of Windows user on this system and later another device Blackberry OS 10. Reproduce the issue with the two tests.

9 Ran through all the other suggested steps in the article noted in step 3. An oddity I noticed during these controls: under the Windows user profile, I am unable to ping the IP assigned to the device. This prompted the tests with the Windows Firewall and AV out. However, when we tested with a different user on the same system (with Firewall and AV) on profile, we are able to ping IP assigned to the device. This allows however for us to communicate with the device via link, however.

Not to mention that the redefinition of the system (which, in my opinion, is far too radical to get this software to work), I hit a brick wall with items to check then. Has anyone else experienced this problem and it is resolved through a different way? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I guess everything he needed, it had happened to a point where I thought I was out of options. We finally got this device communicating by link.

I had run across this article during my first troubleshooting http://support.blackberry.com/kb/articleDetail?ArticleNumber=000035829 and it is a problem, because we already had 4.51 .NET on the system and tried to reinstall it think.

I went down the .NET 4.5 system, and of course link works again.

  • BlackBerry software not able to download Blackberry link

    Hello

Last week I bought my Q10 (from Orange/Romania) and downloaded Blackberry Link (for Mac OS)

I installed and used with my phone just fine.

Yesterday, I had some problems with my phone and reinstall the OS. After that, she refused to connect to Link of BB somehow.

After several attempts to get it working, I uninstalled Blackberry link and remove the software in order to download again.

But surprise, when I press the button to download the BB link again, I received the following message (that I had last week when I downloaded the BB link for the first time):

    We're sorry...

This software download is not yet available in your country for regulatory reasons. Please check for future availability.

Please let me know what I did wrong. It is odd that the link is not available in a country where BB phones are available from the mobile operators.

    Thank you

    Cosmin

    Hey cosminium_10.

Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

There was an investigation into intermittent problems with the software download link from BlackBerry.com BlackBerry which took place yesterday.

This problem has been reported as being solved by our internal teams and should now be available for download again. If you still receive the error message that it is not available in your country, please try to reload BlackBerry.com in your browser by pressing Command + Shift + R on Mac, or CTRL + F5 on Windows. You can also try clear all the cache of your browser, and then restart the application.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you still have problems to download the BlackBerry.com link BlackBerry software.

    See you soon.

  • Link to Blackberry blackBerry Z10 causing problems for my Z10

I swiped my phone security three times in the last 2 days to resolve a problem with texting. I've updated my software via wifi and not link to Blackberry. He has worked to solve the problem, but then the first two times the problem reappeared after restoring a backup. The last time that I restored it manually all I could but lost password and apps which I am fine with. I hesitate to use Blackberry link again as the last update I did the link seems to trigger this problem? Does anyone have any suggestions? My Blackberry has never really been what I would call stable.

All thoughts of my link problem.

I recommend that the updates made on the wifi. Don't do not updated the link unless there was a problem with udpate wifi.

Your carrier will send specific carriers updates which can solve problems like this after an update.

I have a Q10 I'm synchronization by binding, mostly just to test it. I had no problems with it.

  • BlackBerry Z30 several problems after resoring Blackberry link Z30.

    Hello

I worked on a problem of battery with the help of Blackberry and they had me back up my Z30 via Blackberry link to try an earlier version of the operating system. When I restored my phone (full restore), Miss me my apps Android installed via the snap and my email is no longer works.

The email says my accounts are not valid and "some accounts have not responded." I returned to passwords, but that did not help. Are there known issues with email recovery on the last link of Blackberry under OSX?

I thought that my Android Waze and Outlook would have questions about recovery and I remember coming across an article on the restoration of their but can't find it now. Any help or is there a collection of articles on the problems of recovery that I could look at?

    Thank you

    John C.

    Hello

If you already work with formal support, why did they not answer these questions for you? In any case, la.2160 is quite old now... 3247 is up-to-date, and I recommend that you move to the top, via Knowyou:

If things are still not good, so I recommend the following very clean process:

    1. WIPE on the device
    2. Operating system support via the automatic charger (toujours.3247)
    3. WIPE on the device
    4. Only restore settings, nothing else
    5. Re-enter your password email and re - get your add on apps

Otherwise, remove step 4 (do not restore anything) and rather reconfigure everything from scratch.

    Good luck!

PS - Oops... I just noticed you said OSX, which means that you are on a MAC, which means that you cannot use Knowyou or autoloader... only work on PC, but provide methods to update your device OS very clean and easy.

  • BlackBerry software Blackberry link and Blend.

I have BB link/mixture on my computer, but lately because the software updated in my link Q10 can not read my phone, it says that it is connected but there also.

I uninstalled the link Blackberry and all the drivers and reinstalled and everything was installed corrrectly, but the Blackberry link plant still my system completely, whenever I have now connect the phone and the link opens the system freezes and I have to manually shut the computer off of the GET that it works again.

Blackberry mixture will not open at all, there seems to be quite dead, (but he worked previously before update).

Never had this problem before, just since the last update with my BB Q10, really annoying however.

    What could be the problem?

  • Software BlackBerry BlackBerry Link cannot connect to my Z30

    Hello

Someone at - it a problem connecting the link to BlackBerry for the Z30 on Windows 7?  I tried to reinstall the BlackBerry Link software but for some reason, it does not detect my Z30 via the USB cable.  Windows says 'RIM Network Device - no driver found' and "BlackBerry Smartphone - unplugged unit".  I did a Windows update just to be safe but still no luck.  Just a tip, I restarted my Z30 and still no connection.

    Thank you

Check the Windows Device Manager under network adapters yellow warning signs for and try to update as appropriate, try to update at least if BB or rim there is listed.

If the above is not enough, you need to uninstall all the drivers for BB or RIM listed in Device Manager, click view on the Menu in DM then show hidden devices.

The drivers are usually located in these places, BlackBerry, hard drives, CD/DVD, modem (Standard modem only), network cards, Ports.

Once all are uninstalled unplug your phone if it was plugged and turn off your computer (not restart), turn on your computer and wait 5 to 10 minutes before plugging in your phone.

Once you plugin your device wait again 10 minutes before doing anything, software of BB is slow and Windows is slow to recognize this time is necessary for the drivers to install correctly.
