  Hello. I use a Q5 and recently received a notification of a software update required 10.3.1.1779. The download process and the installation went well. The problem is when my unit wants to restart.   You have access to another wifi hotspot (do not forget to keep the phone connected to a charger).

  I have some questions and concerns about making my first software update. I have a blackberry z10 accompanying 10.2.1 out of the box and yesterday I received an update notification to 10.2.1.2977.
  So I went along to do OTA but it says that I have to do using wifi, but I'm far from wifi.

  I want to update the software (82 MB) using the link to BlackBerry, but I'm scared to get my camera of bricks and make it unusable.

  Can someone tell me please the entire process to do a software update, so I can be sure to not do something bad? And will be Blackberry link only to do the update or reload the entire OS on the device?

  The OTA update for wireless calls because updates can be 300-400 MB, and users will find if done without wifi connection a huge data Bill if they are on a limited mobile data plan.

  I recommend that you always first a backup using the link before any upgrade. And, personally I would go with the OTA update over wifi if possible.
