  Hi, we have a few developed internal tools that use old BES Web Services (5.0.3 / 6.2) to perform a device admin now measures via custom web pages and we will need to update these to use the new (10.1.3) web services API to perform the management of BlackBerry devices.

  Someone there done this before and don't know no easy upgrade path? Is a complete rewrite of all of our code that refers to the API, or is it an easy to follow upgrade path?

  This should be confirmed without any code changes, BWS was written for forwards and even some backward compatibility. Just make sure you keep the version of BWS used to create the application in the METADATA of your app, in this way, the server can better understand the calls.

  If you want to add new features added to the 10.1, then you will need to re - generate proxy files, but even then your code should not continue to operate many changes.

  And it seems that there is no possibility to change the Email profile later via Web services. Does anyone have a solution for adding a user without using the default settings of the mail profile or workaround?

  I just got confirmation that the ability to override the parameters of AD is not currently available through BWS, but it adds up to a future version.

  If you have facing same issue please as my post.

  • If you do not start the Services of the ripple, this means that you have not yet accepted the EULA for the emulator to ripple.

  Hi all

  I don't know if anyone could say this already in the forum. I found nothing when I searched keywords.

  Drain the battery of my bold 9700 seems to be caused by the 3G signal. I know it sounds weird that a signal could cause such a thing.

  With the signal 3G on my battery lasts for 15 minutes at the most. I'm not a hardcore user, I just check my mail and tweet (not all day - some of us have a job to do and may not be on twitter every 2 seconds). The phone would just stop (I don't mean it restarts and I don't get the message informing me in that battery power has been drained).

  I've done the things suggested. I reinstalled the operating system and I went in the distant downgrade the OS OS5, but the question always remained. I've since upgraded to the version of OS6 2949 (latest OS for this phone). I also uninstalled all applications check the cause of the problem.

  My last resort was to disable 3G and don't stay in 2G and in doing so, my phone battery can now last a whole day.

  If I want to use 3G, and not have my phone die on me, I have to put it on a charger. Basically, the phone becomes a landline.

  This could be a possible solution for anyone experiencing the same problem.

  BTW, I've had this phone for almost two years now and I left still completely applications every time I have stop using them, that they are never active in the background.

  OS: version 6 2949 (I think it's the latter)

  I have a blackberry torch which was working OK ish until a few days ago.  now when I open the web browser or click on 'apps' that just open the web browser to a specific page, I see

  Still, there is no way to tell you that. the same carrier can operate at different frequencies depending on the 2 G, 3 G or 4 G, etc, and these frequencies can act differently.   Yes, when you submit your application you can specify minimum version of the OS and devices should be available for. Alternatively, you can provide different versions of your application for different devices/OS if you wish.

  I think it should be useful you are an option to display all the System.out on the widget console. If you work with js extensions, it will be very useful.
