• BlackBerry Smartphones Call Log problem - lists only the missed calls

  I have the curve 8900 with t-mobile and I'm having the same exact problem that this user has:

  My call log lists only the missed calls (dialed or received calls). He did this for a few weeks now. I received the error message 'exception: java.lang.NullPointerException eception' a few times as well.

  I checked all available software updates and I use the most recent software.

  Please help me if you can.

  I fixed it!  It took about an hour on the phone with t-mobile, but we thought about it.   For me, the problem was probably a few information corrupted in my call history.  I need to delete all the call history, and then it was fine.  To do this, you need to install the blackberry desktop manager on your computer if you have not already (be it from the cd that came with the phone or the Web site).  Open Fund Manager and connect the blackberry to the computer.  Select the backup and restore option.  Then, select the advanced option.  On the right side of the screen, there will be a list of all the features of the phone.  Scroll to phone call logs.  It lists the number of records in the phone.  All I had to do was remove all records from phone call and it was corrected.  Now my lists of newspaper calls dialed, received and missed and I no longer get the error message.  I hope it helps you too!

  When I touch the elements in the call log they won't as they did before.  I can't say if I chose a name unless I actually tap the screen and open this particular call.  Can someone help me get this feature.

  I have an old 8310 18 months, today it has begun to clear the log of the calls and mms text messeges by itself!  I thought that maybe his memory was full, so I pulled the battery for 30 seconds, re-installed, and it continues the same... any idea?

• BlackBerry Smartphones Call Log problem!

  My call logs is endangered. I checked the Wchodzis and 'call the newspapers' is checked. So when I make a call, it appears in the newspaper to call for a minute and then disappears... thoughts?

  This is usually caused by the unit with a small amount (or any) of memory. When the memory becomes weak (lower than 12MB in some cases, although there is not a number) the device will start the removal of messages and/or call newspapers to keep the memory. You can check your available memory by going to Options > status and check the free file setting.

  Fastest way to free memory, is to perform a hard reset. Remove the battery from the device (while it is still powered) for about 30 seconds, then insert it again. Also, check out the links below for ways to optimize the memory:

• BlackBerry Smartphones Call Log icon

  When I click on the "Call log" icon on the main screen I get the message "no instance speech application - OK.

  It started yesterday and I have not changed anything.

  I can still access the call through "switch application" log but that takes too much time.

  I thought about it. go to the phone app click on the bb menu button/options/general options/intitial/set to call log.

  now when you click on the Send button green he's heading for the phone app, but the call log is the initial view.

  Hello

  A week ago I have upgraded to the Curve 8900 of the BB 8700. I immediately fell in love with the new features and the presentation of the new phone. I just use the software provided with the 8900 to transfer all the data from the 8700, and I was disappointed to see that when I access the call log, I get them in a simple list which is no longer shows if the call was incoming or outgoing, and it doesn't provide any time. I scrolled all the menus, and it's really starting to frustrate the hell out of me.

  If one is familiar with this, or has an idea for a possible solution I would really appreciate it.

  You should be able to see the time that you receive or make calls and if she was missed, incoming or outgoing (icons on the left side).

  Make sure you have your options set call log to 'call log' in the General options. Getting here press send, then press menu and select options. Now select"General options".» Find 'Phone list view' and select call log.

  I have a big problem with my new Z10 camera. When someone call me the number entered in the regular format. When I receive an SMS, it came in the international format (+ 40...). Even though I have this number in my list of contacts, so is in regular format, it does not show the sender of a text message, if it does not display the caller's name in the international format. I ask my provider anh they tell me to contact blackbbery as is an internal problem and that I must make a 'reset' grateful bouth international and regular format. Help, please!

  I read about it on other posts but my phone do not keep a log of calls or text messages.  I emptied my cache and any other memory that has been suggested in other posts.

• Deleting blackBerry Smartphones call log

  If anyone knows, is there a way to delete the log of calls at a time, rather than delete every single entry?

  GoTo messages, click on a date, menu, display folder, logs of phone calls select and click here, scroll to the top and the prior deletion.

  Hey guys, I've just started using my new torch last week. All very well so far, just call (in the central party phone application) log is empty, no matter what I do. I tried all the settings in the menu and also checked the folder (lots of calls) and had it displayed in the list of messages as well. If the calls are recorded, shown just is not there at all! What should do? May not be a problem of memory, since it is the new and free of all data (music, photos etc.) so lots of storage! In addition, it is a branded phone not that I consider an advantage. • View call logs, but with contact phone numbers, name, and not only

  I have to be able to show that a list of the call connects to my request.  But for thosenumbers who have a name in the address book, instead of simply to view phone numbers, I have to be able to show the name of the

  number.  (just like the native blackberry app call log done)

  Up to now the following seems to work OK, as long as the amount of data is small:

  • When the main screen is first created, walk the database by calling PIM.getInstance () .openPIMList)
  • Adds a new entry in a hash table for each unique telephone number in the database that points to the name of the contact
  • After that the Hashtable is fully charged, list of call logs
  • As the newspapers call list is displayed, phone numbers search in the hash table, replace with name when a match is found

  But when the Contact database grows, as the order of 500 entries, it takes a lot of time for

  walk from the database to generate the hash table (10 seconds), and while what the application is blocked

  and things seem stuck to the user. This must occur before the first screen is displayed and so after

  the user clicks on the icon and the first screen is being built, the user is thinking ' what's going on..?

  until the screen finally opens.

  Is there an API I can tap in which already provides this mapping for me?  (given a call number journal or by phone,

  Efficiently search the name of the contact with that phone number, if necessary).  That way I wouldn't have to build

  the hash table.

  Or, possibly, some advice on a simple signal of progress to the user while loads of app... This might be simpler than

  trying to tackle the problem with a multi-threaded approach.

  Unfortunately there is no way, I was. I tried to re - implement research of the phone application and came across this as well, as well as some other hidden implementations that are much faster then the public APIs.
  You can try to work with itemsByName, it is also not very fast, according to the number of entries you have.

  Maybe PhoneCallLogID methods can help you?

• BlackBerry Call Log ID problem Z10

  My wife has a Z10 and recently a whole started having problems with the display ID. When she receives a call from a person in its list of conact, it appears as a simple number & does not display the name. Once a call at the end, it then shows the name of the person calling in the call log.

  Someone at - it hsd this problem? Can someone please suggest a solution if you have found a.

  Your wife has enabled smart dialing or she codes of countries included in the phone numbers? If so, this article should provide more information on this issue. "Caller ID shows not associate contact when the country code is included in the telephone number ' http://blackberry.com/btsc/KB33685
  If this is not the case, is it possible that more than one contact on the BlackBerry Z10 smartphone is associated with phone numbers that are affected?
