  My new Z10 has all my work to the Outlook Contacts - contacts contain e-mail and phone information. But when I use the Z10 as a phone, there is no listed contacts I press the touch phone button. The Z10 not automatically link contacts in the 'Contacts' application to the list of contacts in the phone app? If this is not the case, how can they be imported to phone contacts list? I copied my contacts from the SIM card, but still nothing appears in the list of contacts from phone.   In the last few hours, I discovered the answer to my own question. My Blackberry is provided through my hospital and their COMPUTING service has enabled a policy built into the design of Blackberry which deals with the application phone as a private application and it blocks share the contact information in the application contact (which is linked to the corporate Server Outlook). Alors_que is boring (a phone with no contact), the solution is to make phone calls by opening the Contacts app first and throwing the phone call from here.)   Today, when I went to my contacts on the Blackberry Z10, I discovered that each contact was dublicated!

  Go to settings > accounts and remove contacts from Google.  Then restart the Blackberry Z10 and add Google contacts and let me know if you are still receiving duplicates.

It is verry bad for them. They lose money from verry for a brick. (I live in vietnam, security is not high, I don't want to aggravate some for someone, but I don't want someone not know my data on my phone, I install 10.3.2, I don't know what happens to my data on my SD card, I want to, it can be earsed).

  Your inserted SD card is not affected by Protect or whatever it is. To protect your card data SD Media you would have needed to have the encryption on the card.

  When you write a message, it looks at all of your list of contacts for example Facebook, Twitter, Email, Sim phone book, so if the number is associated with more contact then a list your can see several instances of the number.

  However, if I open the phone & use the contacts of the low average if screen, I get a different list and most of my people are not there.   This does not give me the option to add a reason any. But I noticed if I click on calls (next to Contacts) in the top right, there is an icon to add several. So, I found how to add a number to the phone box

  Welcome to the forums.

  As you watch your BlackBerry Messenger contacts hold your finger on the one that you want to remove and a sidebar will appear on the right, at the bottom of the menu you will see a trash can, select this option to delete the contact.

  Since I updated the OS to 10.0.10.690. I noticed that more than half of my miniature contacts are missing. (also, half of my FB contacts lack of thumbnails)

  A simple solution to get the z10 to rebuild your facebook contacts, is:

  1. enter in my world, delete facebook in your application.

  2. go in the settings of your home page, select accounts, select facebook and click on delete.

  3 re - start your z10

  4. come on in my world, find the facebook app, install it.

  5. log on to your facebook app and it syncs all of your facebook contacts in your contacts list. It would take a minute or two... Make sure that in your contacts application, turn on the who's who.  You may need to restart one last time and let it rebuild your contacts on your z10. It takes a few minutes... This give a try.

  I got an update of the software and has accepted it. After that the update was on two things that happened.

  1. my outgoing emails from my email box began to fade, before the current version of software, the emails would not go out.

  I got a Z10 now and during the installation I noticed that if I clicked on the "contacts" or "text messages'icons are not." I thought when I transferred all the data from my old divide that would correct itself, but it does not.

  None of my contacts or forwarded messages, and I Redid the transfer twice. My call log was transferred, but all entries are number only, no names. And I can't seem to be able to add these numbers to my contacts. I can't even enter the contacts and enter all my previous Info manually.

  I have no hub blackberry either and I asked the people who are in the same room to send me messages but I don't get them. I tried to reboot the device several times but nothing moves. I seem to be able to BBM surveys send, but not receive them.

  Seems that the only thing I can do is to make and receive calls and use the internet browser.

  Can any ideas on how I fix? I will go back to the store I had the phone of the future, but really looking for some information at this time if possible.

  Have you made software updates on your BlackBerry Z10? If this is not the case, there may be one available. You can do the update through the BlackBerry Link with your device, or by going to settings > software updates on the device itself.

  I got a blackberry Z10 (unlocked version) which was defective and he has been replaced by an other Z10 (also unlocked) blackberry. Because the OS versions are different, I can't restore my contacts from the old to the new. BlackBerry has said that this is due to the difference in OS versions. I downloaded the bb world app that import/export of contacts, but can import text or vcf files and not the bbb files.  I downloaded Extractor backup blackberry but was disappointed to see that BB 10 backups are not supported yet. Please I need help with my old transfer contacts from my old bb to my new bb z10 z10. I use a computer hp laptop 8 windows.

  So I guess you never backed up your phone using BlackBerry Protect, or you did.

  If you did, you can install your contacts from there.

  If you do not, think to do for next time.

  If you have never enabled BB Protect you.  Go to: settings, BlackBerry Protect, marketing and you must also turn on location services.

  I think that BB link updated the software in March 2015.  I had been very good sync with my laptop Windows 8 with the Outlook calendar and contacts, but this week it stopped.  BB link watch Z0 connected, but says cannot communicate with the device.  I tried the solution of knowledge base - leave plugged phone with a USB cable, power phone off, then back on donkey wait 3-5 minutes for the pilots to complete loading - but none help.  I rebooted the computer and the Z10 several times, but no luck with the synchronization.  Any help is appreciated!

  Try the following steps, which will completely remove all traces of BlackBerry-link device driver entries and may solve your problem:

  1. Uninstall the BlackBerry link.
  2. Open the Device Manager by pressing the Windows key + R on your keyboard type devmgmt.msc , and then click OK.
  3. Click view , and then click Show hidden devices on the menu that appears.
  4. Expand the BlackBerry section by clicking on the + symbol next to it.
  5. Right-click on the following, and then click Uninstall. In the dialog box that appears, select delete the driver for this device. If more than one of each of the following entries appear, remove them as well.
     • BlackBerry smartphone
     • BlackBerry smart phone
  6. Expand the network adapters section by clicking on the + symbol next to it.
  7. Right-click on the following, and then click Uninstall. In the dialog box that appears, select delete the driver for this device. If more than one of each of the following entries appear, remove them as well.

     • Tethering BlackBerry smartphone
     • Virtual private network of blackBerry
  8. Restart the computer.
  9. Reinstall the latest version of BlackBerry link.
  10. Try to reconnect your BlackBerry Z10 to the computer and see if she is able to communicate with the BlackBerry link.

  I need a little help with sending text messages from my Z10. First some info about the phone:

  • BlackBerry Z10 (STL100-2)
  • OS 10.3.1821 (Beta)
  • Softwareversion 10.3.1.522

  And here's the problem:

  Lets say that there is a contact - by the name of Bob - who is listed under its full name under my contacts ("Bob Miller"). This contact has three different cell phone numbers and a normal (private) phone number. When I try to send a text message, I can choose only "whole" contact ("Bob Miller), but cannot choose the specific telephone number where the text message should be sent to. There seems to be no option to develop the different numbers of contacts.

  It's a fault in regard to the beta-operating system or what I really need to enter all of the numbers of all my contacts respectively as single entries?

  Perhaps, I do not understand. Here's what I see. I'm leaving the hub. Select a dial. Select text. Enter a name. All (by type) phone numbers and email addresses for this contact are listed in a drop down below the name. I record the mobile, etc.

  What you do see, how will you choose a number, and what happens when you try to select a number?

  I'm under PassportSQW100-1/10.3.0.1418 by the way.
