  I need a little help with sending text messages from my Z10. First some info about the phone:

  • BlackBerry Z10 (STL100-2)
  • OS 10.3.1821 (Beta)
  • Softwareversion 10.3.1.522

  And here's the problem:

  Lets say that there is a contact - by the name of Bob - who is listed under its full name under my contacts ("Bob Miller"). This contact has three different cell phone numbers and a normal (private) phone number. When I try to send a text message, I can choose only "whole" contact ("Bob Miller), but cannot choose the specific telephone number where the text message should be sent to. There seems to be no option to develop the different numbers of contacts.

  It's a fault in regard to the beta-operating system or what I really need to enter all of the numbers of all my contacts respectively as single entries?

  Perhaps, I do not understand. Here's what I see. I'm leaving the hub. Select a dial. Select text. Enter a name. All (by type) phone numbers and email addresses for this contact are listed in a drop down below the name. I record the mobile, etc.

  What you do see, how will you choose a number, and what happens when you try to select a number?

  Your inserted SD card is not affected by Protect or whatever it is. To protect your card data SD Media you would have needed to have the encryption on the card.

  and I seem to have a unique problem.

  I'm on giffgaff (who has the phone accepts very well), but...

  1. I can only call a few people in my contact list. (at every time without problem) where others it disconnects right away when I try to call.

  2. I cannot sms only to individuals who have already sent me an sms, I can carry on a conversation but does not start with someone.

  3. some people I can txt I can't call and visa versa.

  I tried to make calls and txts in different places and times with the full signal strength. As I tried all the proposed problem fixed here. Yet, I still have the problem. I don't know if people have hurt to put a hand on me.

  any help with this would be much appreciated.

  Thanks for your detailed description, which helps us a lot. I recommend that you download blackberry protect and do a full backup. After the backup, please try reloading your software through blackberry desktop software or wipe a complete security. NOTE: all data will be lost during a wipe.

  However, if I open the phone & use the contacts of the low average if screen, I get a different list and most of my people are not there.   This does not give me the option to add a reason any. But I noticed if I click on calls (next to Contacts) in the top right, there is an icon to add several. So, I found how to add a number to the phone box

• BlackBerry Z10 sync BB calendar and Contacts with Android

  After 8 years as a BlackBerry user, I did reluctantly, the decision to move to an Android device. My calendar is wide, ranging from the years in the future, and my contact list has 800 and entries. I also teach notes, financial records, and a lot of information, I rely on every day in my Z10. All these things exist only on my BlackBerry. Is it possible to migrate everything to a Samsung device? I am particularly interested in my calendar and contacts, but wants to keep other information that has been collected over a period of years.

I've been off contract several times, including now, waiting for BB to produce new phones. After reading 'Lose the Signal' I see why Verizon Business limited BB today. • BlackBerry 10 phone nine questions with Contacts does not

  I got a new phone the weekend (Z30) and have had problems with the 'Contacts'  It does not seem to be reading SOMETHING on the phone.  It does not find the contacts of:

  • the SIM card
  • BBM
  • E-mail
  • Facebook
  • NOTHING

  When I open the BBM-> Contacts, there are 24.  When I put the SIM card in another phone, the default value of the numbers see the place in contacts, 411, #Taxi, etc.  When I open the "Contacts" application base on the main screen, NADA!  It has been more than 48 hours, so this isn't a problem of "just wait that it synchronize.

  I've been setting up of 2 phones, I did a cleanup of security/plant on the first and that seemed to fix the problem.  I really do not have to re-setup on the other if I can avoid it.

  Nothing.  By clicking on any filter just says "No Contacts".  Back to BBM-> Contacts, there are 24.  Go to Contacts-> BBM = 0!

  Couldn't be patient any yet, did you complete security wipe a 2nd too.  The fixed.

  Hi and welcome to the Forums!

  What you need to do is to find, on your PC, the IPD file created when you backed up. Search your entire hard drive *. IPD. Then use this file as the source of a restoration of your new BB (choose ONE of these KB, depending on the version of the RIM Desktop software you have already installed on your PC):

  • KB10339 How to use BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.3 to 5.0.1 to restore data from a BlackBerry smartphone from a backup file

  Y at - it another way to have CONTACTS separate (work and personal) in a Z10 BB for us who do not Balance of BB. I want this for contacts, and maybe text messages, I do not have the security and all the other features ensuring the balance or a BES... If this isn't the case, know you guys if BLACKBERRY decided to do this for a future update? Looks like a very useful feature...

  Open Contacts, downstairs - all search, select 'New group' create the name of the group, and then add contacts.

  Suggest you name 1business and 1developpement etc., then the groups will be at the top of the list. Existing contacts will be just duplicated in groups.

  So you have bypassed the wizard and manually configured? You shouldn't have to do... to my hotmail and outlook.com accounts, the Wizard works great and fits as EAS, but not with this server you mention.   It is also possible that the update, what you did was the cause of problems. There are many reports, especially with this version of the OS, problems caused by the version itself (it has been a long time now replaced) as well as the process of update itself causing problems. In the first case, moving to a BONE later might be useful. For the latter, reloading via LINK or auto-loader can be useful. I can't say for sure if this will help your situation, but... again, all I can do is offer advice based on what you say here.

  My Blackberry is about 4 months old and has not been the best phone I have ever had, but does the job or did until this morning and for some reason any when I left the handset of the phone turns off. I am unable to answer the phone when it rings if I left the handset? The torch screen only works, but not as it should be very slow. Does anyone have an idea? Please, I beg you!

  It's a good solution, but I would say a battery pull prior to an update of the OS.  With your phone, remove the battery, then replace.

  Hi, just recently got the bold 9700 and i LUV IT!  Only I have a problem.

  I import all my contacts from outlook express and they all come out somehow on my blackberry contacts list.   Problem is that if I get a TEXT from someone, it shows the name of number and no contact even if I already have the contact on my list.  It's just a concern to watch who texts me all the time.  For example, number of friend is stored on my BB as + 1 (123) 456-7891. He sent me a sms/text and it shows it's on + 11234567891.  It's the same number, but my BB cannot identify it as a number of a known contact.  Sometimes, he would show (123) 456-7891. Someone please help me! as I have 100 + contacts and I don't want to set up each each contact on my list depending on how I get their number on my sms.

It has a feature which allows the user to send a text message with specific string/code that would clear the entire memory of the phone. Personally information that I have on my phone is much more valuable than the phone itself. Is it possible to do this with the 8300?
