BlackBerry Z10 help BB steal, has failed to protect

I had a Z10 HAD. Until the day I had a little accident and someone stole.

The SIM card is blocked, the police informed but we all know that they will not go start a hunt at the national man for the thief, so everything is futile at this end.

I am very hopeful that Blackberry Protect would do anything, nothing, but it was of no use. Seriously now I do not understand... Blackberry phones start after reboot up to this as connected. The phone is registered in my name with Blackberry, so how can someone possibly re-record and BB doesn't even know a thing?

The Protect everything is useless if it doesn't even recognize that the phone has an owner, the guy who is supposed to use the phone not any random email that anyone who challenges.

All that I want is to get just a message to the thief that I wil pay to return to its desired location and that's it.

And btw, I loved this phone. Really ingenious OS, excellent material, robust and everything.

Should I lose hope and give up? Or is there sort of BB could help me?

The logic behind this is that if the legitimate owner of the phone forget password (and I see this from time to time on the forums) they will lose their data, but not their phone, or in any way make their phone useless. In addition, to get a 'warning' the phone will be reported and you can do it now.  It's just that the phone (I hope) gets blocked.

There is another method, not sure that someone is using now.  Many years ago, my wife has forgotten his password on his Nokia and exhausted all his 'essays '.  And then the locked phone as if it was brick.  She had to call Nokia USA and prove he was her phone.  Then they sent him a unlock code from time and she was back in business.  I imagine that Nokia is real sick of dealing with this method.

    Do you mean that you have installed the beta on our device?  Let's be clear, the BlackBerry does not have beta versions of developer to the user.  You have installed.

    You will have to wait until the official release.  Everything I read, you cannot downgrade to an official release.

    Basically when you call someone, with the ear phone you, the person on the other line can hardly or not even hear you. [How ever when you put on speaker and speak directly into the microphone is always very quiet but audible.]

    I removed the battery and restarted, and it didn't work, so I'll try a wipe secrurity.

    If there is dirt in the mic, and if so how can that be cleaned?

    Do you have no OS update recently? What is the current operating system you have?

    In case of problems although I suggest to Bell store, have them take a closer look, or they can ship the Z10 for BlackBerry have them replaced!

    Its my situation exactly. I called my service provider and they said there was nothing they could do and take the phone to an unlocking shop.
    Please could someone help me resolve this issue.

    But they don't have the ability to promote your call of support for BlackBerry. They just need to do it.

    Otherwise, you're stuck. Trust me on this, I've helped others to the same question.

    Thanks for the reply.

    I suggest telling him to re - install BBM by going to www.blackberry.com/bbm and then restart the smartphone BlackBerry Curve 9360.  Then add the other one last time, then try to send messages.

    As all your other contacts work very well, it seems that your BBM works according to the normal hense why we reinstall the BBM.

    Let me know if the problem still persists.

    I downloaded the new tones from the 'Business ringtones' application and they went into my music folder, as they should. Fine. I'm going to change my tone e-mail, clicking settings, Notifications, Applications, email /(my email account)/Tone/browse music. Instead of take me in my music folder, as it always has, I am taken to Media Card/music, where there is nothing. I checked to make sure that the shared files has been enabled. I've never had this problem before and don't know how to fix. Can someone advise me? Thank you.

    Now, click on to the top then Media Card then device then music downloads and you should see it.

    That KB was for all windows systems, but was mainly for Win Vista business.

    You can reset IE in Internet properties, program tab, or download another or do a system restore to November 10.

    Firefox is not affected because it is not incorporated in the system as IE.

    I've just updated my OS to the last today and am still having this problem. My phone still made sounds in single mode of vibration. On vibrate only, vibrate button we shaded out in the off position if you can not turn at all. Help!

    Based on your screenshot above, your settings are the opposite, to vibrate mode it should have as a sound and vibrate on... The only thing left to do is to do a restore and system from scratch, this will also get updates.  Something changed this setting and if its greyed out, then an application may be blocking.

  • BlackBerry Z10 Help! My Z10 is dead!

    This afternoon, my Z10 turned off and won't turn on.  It is since in the charger then (about 3 hours) and none of the lights light up and does not start the screen upward.  Acts like the battery is dead, but I'm not able to get even the icon to "recharge" dim lights (and I was in charge of 60% less than an hour before I found out it was dead.  Troubleshooting ideas?  I'll check tomorrow with Verizon, but I was hoping someone might have an idea or two tonight.

    Got, it works.  In fact, Verizon got it to work.  How, I don't know.

    He removed the screen protector, takes off from the back of the phone, took out the battery, spun around on the counter, put the phone started and back in.  SMH.

    I have to taking out the battery and put back in six times since he died, for anywhere from a few seconds to an hour.  The Verizon guy takes, he turns on the counter and everything works.  I mean really? ! ?

    At least it works now.

    Call your carrier and ask them to check and reset the settings from your Sim Card.

    • launch of BBW with just using Wifi
    • launch of BBW with just using the data
    • launch of BBW with Wifi and data
    • Resets hard (after changing the settings above)
    • Soft resets
    • Battery grips
    • Tried to access BBW through 'games'... three points...
    • BBW of opening online and trying to access my blackberry through the online program.

    AND I just wiped my blackberry to start again, and it still does not!  Restoring my data was carried out using the 'fast' backup, so it should not be due to a conflict with another program.

    Can you please help - I'm about to tear my hair out!

    OK, as a work possible, try this: go to your music folder. Press the three points at the bottom right. I believe that if you have downloaded all the music in the BBerry world, the choice to access BBerry World will be there and it should work. If this is not the case, here are some other workarounds.
