  Do you mean that you have installed the beta on our device?  Let's be clear, the BlackBerry does not have beta versions of developer to the user.  You have installed.

  You will have to wait until the official release.  Everything I read, you cannot downgrade to an official release.

• BlackBerry Z10 help BB steal, has failed to protect

  I had a Z10 HAD. Until the day I had a little accident and someone stole.

  The SIM card is blocked, the police informed but we all know that they will not go start a hunt at the national man for the thief, so everything is futile at this end.

  I am very hopeful that Blackberry Protect would do anything, nothing, but it was of no use. Seriously now I do not understand... Blackberry phones start after reboot up to this as connected. The phone is registered in my name with Blackberry, so how can someone possibly re-record and BB doesn't even know a thing?

  The Protect everything is useless if it doesn't even recognize that the phone has an owner, the guy who is supposed to use the phone not any random email that anyone who challenges.

  All that I want is to get just a message to the thief that I wil pay to return to its desired location and that's it.

  And btw, I loved this phone. Really ingenious OS, excellent material, robust and everything.

  Should I lose hope and give up? Or is there sort of BB could help me?

  The logic behind this is that if the legitimate owner of the phone forget password (and I see this from time to time on the forums) they will lose their data, but not their phone, or in any way make their phone useless. In addition, to get a 'warning' the phone will be reported and you can do it now.  It's just that the phone (I hope) gets blocked.

  There is another method, not sure that someone is using now.  Many years ago, my wife has forgotten his password on his Nokia and exhausted all his 'essays '.  And then the locked phone as if it was brick.  She had to call Nokia USA and prove he was her phone.  Then they sent him a unlock code from time and she was back in business.  I imagine that Nokia is real sick of dealing with this method.

• BlackBerry Z10 assign a ringtone downloaded to a contact

  Hi all.

  using dropbox, I was able to import ringtones to my z 10. I am able to use by browsing through files, but only for all contacts as a group.  When I try to assign a downloaded ringtone to a specific contact I'm unable to access my new downloaded files. In the drop-down list there is no link to other music files.

  Should I save to a different folder? If Yes, where and how? I need different ringtones for different contacts, but the phone does not come with enough acceptable options. Help, please.

  Download from your drop box, to any folder on your device or sd card, you can use the file manager to move the folder to a location had hoped.  Contacts select your contact, change, select phone rign tone, it will pull down all your sound files you z10, including music files.

• BlackBerry Z10 problems with video VOlUmE

  My videos don't seen to have the volume on my blackberry. I habe a bunch and none of them have.  also, I sent a couple and they had no picture. they were sent on wifi. does anyone else have this problem?

  I don't know what the problem was but I pulled the battery and rebooted the phone and it works fine now. Thanks for help. The video was the one who was shot with the phone, so he would have to play very well. He does now.

• BlackBerry Z10 problem with reception and to make a call after updating to OS.

  I just updated my Z10 STL100-3 model with the new operating system 10.3.2.2168. Now, I can not answer incoming calls. The phone rings, but there is no screen to answer or reject the call. I am also unable to unlock while the phone is ringing. Once the caller hangs up the normal opening if Poster Advisor I missed a call and then allows me to unlock the phone. When you place a call, the screen does not change for me to end the call. In other words, I touch the contact and it will automatically start the numbering, but the screen does not respond or don't change to indicate that the call is made. Then I need to cut the phone to hang up!

  Well, assuming that you have waited the usual 48-72 hours, with a lot of reboots (including the battery grips) and this behaviour is new, and the only thing that has changed is the operating system updated... so, the most common thing to do after an update which results in problems is to perform a reload of the OS. Sometimes the update process have errors and others... with a reload often cure the problems.

  Official methods, which will be controlled as to what exact OS versions are available:

  Unofficial methods, which are cleaner and allow you to choose a version of the OS that maybe your carrier (or anyone they control your offers) delays in approval (unless you're on 10.3.2, in which case 10.3.1 and earlier are now blocked, but you should be able to use any 10.3.2 it's official):

  Of course, before you start this, you want a good backup link, a manual copy of the memory of your device to your PC and complete documentation of your configuration (identification information of account, adding applications, configurations, etc.). • BlackBerry Z10 Help! Micro very quiet during calls!

  more recently, it has started, but as the person primarily texts that might have started a while back.

  Basically when you call someone, with the ear phone you, the person on the other line can hardly or not even hear you. [How ever when you put on speaker and speak directly into the microphone is always very quiet but audible.]

  I removed the battery and restarted, and it didn't work, so I'll try a wipe secrurity.

  If there is dirt in the mic, and if so how can that be cleaned?

  Do you have no OS update recently? What is the current operating system you have?

  In case of problems although I suggest to Bell store, have them take a closer look, or they can ship the Z10 for BlackBerry have them replaced!

  Recently, I updated with the version of the 10.2.0.424 software (OS version 10.2.0.1791) and since then I am facing a lot of problems with my phone

  Question 1: My camera does not work. When I click on the camera icon, it says "could not start the camera.
  Question 2: I'm not able to play videos. When I try to read, it says "no File Format supported. Although the same videos played with the older operating system.
  Question No. 3: my phone has started to eat a lot of battery, its asking to be charged every 2-3 hours.
  Question 4: The phone is now slow and crashes a lot during a call or when sending texts.

  Please I need help to solve these problems!

  After hitting my head for several days, I left my phone to completely drain the battery until it empties. I left him in the same position without pressing a key or slide the screen for about 30 minutes.

  Now, I have connected my phone to my laptop to charge the battery, my phone restarted. The GOOD NEWS is that the CAM and VIDEOS have begun their work

  I left my phone charges to 100% and will monitor the battery drain. Once my battery is at 100%, I will also make some calls and send a few texts to see if the phone always freezes up or not.

  I can't receive messages from a contact only blackberry chat, others seem to work all I get is a d when I send a message to a specific contact and he doesn't and can't do their messages, but I get voice chat to them... Please help me with this its frustraing then...

  Thanks for the reply.

  I suggest telling him to re - install BBM by going to www.blackberry.com/bbm and then restart the smartphone BlackBerry Curve 9360.  Then add the other one last time, then try to send messages.

  As all your other contacts work very well, it seems that your BBM works according to the normal hense why we reinstall the BBM.

  Hello. I use Blackberry Maps often, but have noticed that the GPS on my phone started to work very slowly.

  When I turn it on it takes a few minutes to find my position.   I've updated my Z10 with this version today & have the following problem:

  When I unlock my phone, it goes to a blank screen (previously went directly to page 1 with all my commonly used icons).  I now swipe until you get to page 1 & when I do this it zoomed in so I don't see all of my icons.  I have to pinch the screen several times to a regular size (sometimes it guard zoom each time I have pinch the screen).  This is very annoying & would appreciate any help.

  Hi there and welcome to the forums,

  There are a few quick things you can try:

  1 check to make sure that your phone can receive data. Since you are the Sprint, when you look at the upper right of the screen, it should say 1XEV. If it is not capitalized (i.e. 1xev), you should probably call Sprint and let them take a look at all the settings on your account.

  2. go to Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Tables, press the BB Menu key and select Save now. This will help save your BB on the BlackBerry network.

  3. go to your e-mail settings, log in (if necessary), press the BB Menu key and select Service books. On the next screen, choose the option to send Service directories.

  4. follow steps 2 & 3 with a battery pull if it still does not work.

  That should do it, but if not, then the next step would be to contact Sprint without worrying to make sure that your BB has been implemented properly on their end.

  HI - please can someone help me - I had a Motorola Krazr for 5 years and can now move to the BBRY TORCH2800 as the Krazr is dying! I like my ringtones - 'Hello' "cricket" and "zoom in" and need to know two things... 1 if they work on the 9800 & 2 How do it?

  PS I also can not remember how I imported on my phone, but I know that they were not downloads, or that they were doing with the phone, they came a friend & it does not now have. I think that this has been done somehow using bluetooth, but it has been some time now!

  You can transfer them to your torch using Bluetooth.  Simply match the bike with the torch, and send files ringtones of the bike to the torch.
