  It seems that part is, in effect, soldered to the motherboard of the machine, as they say. I doubt that part could cost a lot, so you're basically risking just labor costs to fix. I would probably give it a try.

  I just rec'd blackberryz10 and I did an update yesterday. I now have a problem I did not before.   In Contacts, drag the top and choose settings. Once in the settings, how many accounts is enabled?  If there are several service accounts, change all except your e-mail account and then let me know if the duplicates appear always.

• Need to Smartphones blackBerry help please: the battery of my 9700 has a problem.

  I just fix it last 4 days ago. I used until my less than 10% battery and remove the device. I used a clean towel and dry to clean the battery and the battery compartment, then I leave half of the day.

  After that I recharged to 100%, and the problem disappeared!

  Don't know why it happened, but at least my battery works now as normally done.

  I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

  So I had this phone for about a year and a half. I'm under contract.   Yes it's true. Warranty covers the battery always one long year.
  It s any manufacturer will ask you; all batteries are covered under warranty for one year.

• BlackBerry Q10 Q10 - the battery life low, overheating, restarting the device.

  My camera has been upgraded to 10.3 towards the end of February, I think.  Battery life was low at first, but eventually improved to an acceptable level.  (Acceptable = able to make it through the day without charge.)

  In recent days, the battery life was horrible.  At 01:00 this morning, it was fully charged and from 05:00, it's about 40%, without any use at all.  All idling with the screen off.

  I read some suggestions in the forums.  I deleted all my email accounts, restarted the unit, then added them.  I also confirmed that there are no other applications running that might be draining the battery.

  I bought the unit directly from BlackBerry back to November, so I have no support available carrier.

  So sometimes after typing a message, I hung up and he begins to restart.  I'm quite sure physical were issued with the phone - it is never dropped or roughed up somehow.

  When I look at my use of the battery, I see the remaining 38%.  System of 26%, and PIM services is 8.6%.

  Someone more detailed suggestions on how to fix this?

  Try to veiw of the last 12 hours of the CPU usage. The heat is probably high CPU load.

  I also recommend that you recharge the device through BlackBerry link software. Good luck and keep me posted.

  the only exception is if recharge you using the USB port AND you use your device as USB mass storage.

  To add to the above, if there is a password for the device in use when the backup was created, and the backup to restore, you will be able to restore the backup, but you will need the password to unlock the device after restoring.
