  The GPU is integrated into the cpu, so the phone would not ring or the touchpad does not work. It is possible that the phone fell or anything that could cause the connections on the motherboard to disconnect, I gave up my 9930 and causes the connector unplugs.   Unfortunately, you are not able to take your SMS from your device to a computer to read. Regarding shortcuts, that's all what I found;

  Message shortcuts
  The following shortcuts can be used in a message:

  • To reply to a message, press R.
  • To reply to all, press L.
  • To forward a message, press F.
  • To remove a highlighted message, press I.
  • To view the e-mail address of a contact, in a message, highlight the contact. Press Q. To view the display name again, press Q.

  The following shortcuts can be used in a list of messages:

  • To open a message highlighted, press the enter key.
  • To write a message in the message list, press C.
  • To mark a message as opened or unopened, press the Alt key and the U.

  Please help so I received a text message on my blackbery 8520 and I entered the password as usual and the trackpad would not move, I couldn't scroll but I could click but does not scroll please help.

  Ok. The problem can be well mechanical.

  Open the rear cover and remove the sim card and the battery. There is a small rectangular stainless steel metal plate which is the cover for the touchpad. On the left side of the plaque next to the sim card is a small sweet white piece of sticky paper covering a torx screw that holds the plate in place.

  Use a torx screwdriver with a bit of size of T5 and carefully remove the screws, remove the metal plate, then reinsert and replace and tighten the torx screw. You will find that the screw was loose and the plate cannot have been firmly in place. It may solve your problem for good as a loose torx screw prevents the touchpad or the optical block to make the necessary full contact inside this cover.

  Make sure not to lose the very tiny torx screws while working on this topic. You can get a torx screwdriver very cheap with a set of bits of miniature for a few s all about £ or $' s. make sure there is a bit of T5 in the game.

  A temporary solution that could help until you get the right screwdriver is to put firm pressure on the cover of metal plate with your finger. This does not work for a while but the gel always returns.

  Another fix recommended by some is to remove and reinstall Blackberry software, but is not a reliable solution, given the issue of loose screws. The only real difficulty is to follow the procedure above, as long as your touchpad is not physically defective and must be replaced.

• BlackBerry Smartphones 9780 OS running slowly/Double letters

  My blackberry OS is "Bundle 6.0 863 (v6.0.0.285, platform 6.5.0.54). I'm with Fido as my mobile operator. I had my 9780 for about 3 weeks now, or so, and only at night, for some reason, it is extremely slow. When you type SMS or BBM messages, I constantly get the "loading" icon I'm typing a part of a sentence and "loading" popup icon and then pause and my sentence appears in the text box. I also have the loading icon while "typing" a contacts name in my address book or through contacts in my address book or BBM contacts. After typing my password to unlock my phone, my phone has kind of freezes then goes back to the home screen, after a few seconds. I've restored my phone to a date that these problems have not occurred, and again, I will always have these problems. I updated my phone, tried everything, but I can't seem to find a solution, I tried to update, I tried battery pull, after removing the battery, loading loading screen full very quickly as usual, however, as soon as it reaches a full bar, it stops there for 2-3 minutes, then to the point of "security check". It takes about 1-2 minutes for this program to run, everything is usually slower and became a nuisance, very irritating for a new phone. Also, during scrolling on the touchpad anywhere on the phone outside of the screen of the phone there is a gap between contacts, SMS messages, BBM contacts, there are differences, but on the home screen there is very little lag unless you click on an icon, for example "Media Applications."   I found a solution to my problem, one of my applications took too much CPU space during the race. Application "Mr. Number Call Block" used about 96% on my CPU, removing it, my speed is normal.
