  • Burn VIDEO_TS or DMG to DVD image readable on DVD-Video players?

I burned a movie to a DVD using toast. Now I want someone sends a file so that they can burn their own DVDs. I moved the DVD files on my desk. I burned them (a VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folder inside) directly on a DVD, but it's unplayable. I used disk utility used to create an image ("read-only" Format of Image with 'none' encryption). I burned this .dmg directly on a DVD, but it's unplayable.

Is it possible, or is it the other person must have something like Toast to burn their own video DVDs?

Open the toast and click the video tab. In the drop-down list, choose the VIDEO_TS folder (you need not the audio file). Drag and drop the VIDEO_TS folder on your desktop in the left pane blank. Burn the disc.

  • My Dell Inspiron 600 m laptop won't read or write blank DVDs

My Dell Inspiron 600 m laptop won't read or write blank DVDs. How can I fix it? He has read and burned the DVD before, in the last 6 months, it stopped. I jumped a blank DVD in yesterday and it would not recognize it or burn on it. I read already burned DVDs, blank and burned CDs. No one knows how to fix this problem, so I can burn DVDs again?

  • Double layer DVD burning does not

The double-layer DVD burning does not work on my XPS420 w/vista.  The drive reads everything good and burns only 4.7 GB very well.  When you try to burn to a disc double layer blank he Burns half of the project (probably a layer), and then gives me an error message.  This happened with two different software.  Once with Roxio 10.1 included with the system and once with DVD Shrink.  I use an ISO image file appropriate.  My Player recognizes a disc blank double layer with 8 GB of free space.  During the burning process is when all else fails.  I downloaded the update of the firmware as well.  My thought is that it may be a media problem.  I virgins, disc double layer 8.5 GB DVD + R DL.  It's a brand off I've not heard of, but that was all that was available at the store.  It is a toshiba player, not sure of the model number.  16xRW +-.  Note: the front of the drive said no DL.  If all goes well they installed the correct drive.

    any thoughts?

    Thank you.

  • Satellite M60-139 DVD player

Hello, I freshly bought the satellite M-60-139 straight. Unfortunately the DVD doesn't recognize correctly (burn it with Nero) so that I can burn only with 2, 4 instead of 8 years facher speed. Firmware update is not not qualify into the net for the carpet * a DVD RAM Uj-years 840 firmware 1.52. Support (Hotline) knows the problem, has however no solution. Who can help?

    Hello

In my opinion you shouldn't start with updates or even the installation of the firmware. The device is new and try to test it out first. 8 x burning speed is just for the DVD-R virgins. I hope that you use the latest version of Nero and DVD 8 x burning speed rewritable media. If there is a possibility try to test with a few different blank DVD burning speed.

    Good bye

Created audio CD through media player will play on my house, Hi Fi, but not on my car CD player. However the CD created by a friend on their desktop will play on it.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi John

I have the same problem. The engraved with Satellite 1900 music CD is not readable in my car CD player. The same blank CD burned the Tecra M1 works perfectly. Have no explanation why this happens, but you can try with the other as Nero burning software and burn with minimum speed.

  • Acer laptop comes with Vista and upgraded to Windows 7 now does not

My daughter has an Acer laptop and her boyfriend spoke to him in switching to Windows 7, but we are not sure if it was legitimate. He worked for a year or so, but now she cannot access the start menu, you cannot start in safe mode and may have a virus. She has no backup discs. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Well, if she worked for a year, then it is probably quite legitimate. Whatever this is not activated within 30 days is usually made in an unusable state, or limited. The most likely problem is a virus. She is able to run programs? Some useful malware removal tools are:

    Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool
    Malwarebytes
    SUPERAntiSpyware
    Spybot Search and Destroy
    Microsoft safety scanner

And it's not the Windows 7 installation disc that used her boyfriend? If you cannot use these tools or the computer is too slow and does not respond then you can use a Live CD. What you do is start you on a CD or a flash drive in a separate operating system in order to perform analyses of virus on the hard drive. You will need to use another computer with a blank CD burner and imgburn program. Write these two files .iso with imgburn.

    BitDefender Rescue CD
    Kaspersky Rescue Disk

Turn on the computer. Insert the CD of bitdefender inside her computer. Turn off and turn on and watch directly downstairs or upstairs for command to enter the Boot Manager (usually F12) or BIOS Setup (usually F2). Is there is a Boot Manager button and then you must press the key once in a relationship at the time wherever you turn on the computer. Select this option to boot from CD/DVD.

Is there is only one button for BIOS, then you will need to manually rearrange the order of boot devices so that the CD/DVD drive is at the top which makes the first boot device.

When the operating system loads up, make sure that you connected to the internet and update the latest virus definitions. You can then run the scan on the hard drive. After that all viruses are removed, then do you the same thing with the Kaspersky CD. It's just to make sure that all viruses are removed.

I hope that my explanation was not too difficult to follow.

  • Can I burn on a cd/dvd burning several files (.fpbf)?  If Yes, how, because the application of each file to burn a blank cd/DVD?

I created several burn (.fpbf) files that are sitting on my desktop.  I want to burn these file separated into one cd.  At present each file burn requires a blank cd.  Is there a way to turn it?

    Hey Bob79,

Being able to burn a lot of files on a disk is a great feature of backup files and carry them.

This article goes over how to burn items to a disc: OS X El Capitan: create and use a folder to burn

The way it is configured in OS X El Capitan you can burn only 1 file to burn to a disc and not multiple.

If you want to burn all the evidence of burning I suggest make a new folder to burn with all the elements that it.

You should get the drive you want.

  • my external cd will not appear in the finder or on the desktop.  I went into preferences for the finder and intended to show the CD, I can load a blank cd and iTunes says and I burn on it then the cd will appear on the desktop.

I don't see my external cd in the finder under devices, I can load a blank cd and iTunes says it's white and I can burn songs, then the cd icon appears on the desktop, went into preferences for the finder and ticked the box show the cd.  Help please?  CD has been disconnected and placed back started loading but no show, iMac says he had an attached cd when I search.

CD/DVD players don't appear that a disk is inserted. It's normal.

  • External CD burner does not recognize blank CD

I have a new CD/DVD of Memorex burner that plays very well the prerecorded CD, but when I put in a blank CD - it seems that the blank CD is not recognized.  I've been reviewing newspaper and I see no evidence of an error.  The default current behavior when you insert a blank CD should be to open iTunes.  The focus to Itunes, but nothing else happens.  In addition, the CD does not appear in the Finder or on the desktop.  Once the CD is inserted into the optical drive, the unit eject button works like.  (It works well with prerecorded CD)  The only way to eject a blank CD's either reboot the computer or open the disk utility program and eject it from there.  Disk utility seems to be the only application that knows the blank CD - although he pointed out that the capacity is 0 KB and is unitialized, and partition map and the Smart function are indicated as 'not supported '. I tried with two different brands of CDR and get the same problem.

Note that I have this problem on two new Imacs. The first is a machine of retina 27 "with 16 GB of RAM and hard drive with more than 2 TB of space remaining.  The other machine is an iMac 21 non-retinienne "with 8 GB of RAM and about 500 GB left on the hard drive.  Both machines are running El Capitan.

It is the 2nd optical drive Memorex who gave me this problem.  I returned the 1st under warranty and has just received the replacement by mail unit this morning.  I contacted the technical support Apple, which were very nice. They took me through a SMC reset, but this has no effect.  Apart from them, they had no indication as to what was causing the problem.  I thought that I would try to write to you, geniuses.  Any ideas?  Thanks in advance.

    -david

Contact Memorex. I think that you have to go back and buy something else that actually works with a Mac. 2 units in a row with the same failure seems unlikely. It is more likely that they are simple not compatible.
