Block the installation size

Hello

I have a situation where there is a new worm Server 4.0 build - local storage is 2.6 TB - I know that for any single player's local storage limits is 2 TB, so I divide it into 1 TB and 1.6 to - however, in our old 3.5 way of doing things, I would reformat the vmfs to a more appropriate to 1 MB block size.  Now, however, the service console is already put in the first vmfs.  So, the best practice is suitable for the size (a) by the first vmfs to accommodate only the supreme court, or (b) is at - it another way to change the size of the block I don't know?

Thanks for any help

Paul Flynn

As much as I know there is currently no possibility to change the block size during installation or later. The best option would be to create a small disc on which the VMFS will reside for the Service console and create multiple or a single large (depending on size) LUN/Disk for other VMFS volumes.

  • Precautions Cryptolocker are blocking the installation of firefox

Due to the current threat of malware Cryptolocker, precautions are in place within our field that prevent the installation/update Firefox, apparently, it's because of the prohibited areas used in windows to extract and install from that location.

    Declared unauthorized zones are:

    Path: %AppData%\*.exe
    Path: %AppData%\*\*.exe

    Path Win XP: %UserProfile%\Local Settings\ * .exe

    Suggestions for resolution?

Think I came up with my own solution:

    1. Download the full package from here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
    2. Create a new folder for me it's Firefox 25 install files
    3. Open the installer downloaded complete with 7-zip (right click on the file archive opened or 7-Zip in the menu open archive and navigate to where you downloaded the file to open it)
    4. Extract setup.exe and "Core" file above record made in step 2 (for example Firefox 25 install files)
    5. Then run setup.exe from the installation of FireFox 25 files.

While I understood this point, someone else in my situation can not find this message or understand it, but it's a method dirty to realize the installation.

  • Bug from Microsoft which blocks the installation of McAfee Security Suite

Verizon and McAfee tec support worked with a problem on my pc, it just got a new hard drive and a new installation of XP installed, not to mention the 200 updates, including service packs 1,2,3. I never had no problems installing or running the McAfee products until 17 days ago. Between myself, McAfee and Verizon tec support, McAfee Security Suite has been reloaded 48 times. During each load, not an error or warning appears, the hard drive acts like it is written for and downloads are all successful, when you close the installation following the instructions once the installation completes, it not there no trace of McAfee on the hard drive accept for some temporary files and some registry entries.

After the last attempt to McAfee to install a new problem exists, during the verification of your license and your password, bothe the name and the password are incorrect. I have 2 other PC running XP both have Security Suite installed on them and they would be well if the bug was introduced as reciently like 2 months ago, some first encrypted in Microsoft updates, I discovered that more then a thousand other people have this problem.

We used highly som software sofisicated of security registry and found no bugs, we used as several other safety analysis software on this pc and found nothing so it's new and directly to McAfee as other security software, for example. Norton, work very well. I would suggest to Microsoft to go threw your online updates and find a worm attached to one or more updates that activates this question. I have went up to now download the setup of each update of Microsoft and ran an individual scan on each update but nothing has been found that is why I really think it's the combination code through a number of updates that creates this bug and bring it to life.

Only Microsoft has all the updates with the original code, they must go threw each update and find the configurations added / changed on their updates to resolve this problem, I would muself, but I'm not entittled to access the database of Microsoft where the original code was stored and compare it to the code distributed by Microsof'ts 'SECURE UPDATE DATABASE ".

DOES ANYONE HAVE A LIST OF A LINK THAT HAS MICROSOFT WHO CAN RUN A SCAN ON THEIR SOFTWARE FOR ERRORS LIKE NO OTHER SECURITY SOFTWARE DETECTS MICROSOF'TS UPDATES THAT ARE CURRENTLY ON THE WEB NEXT TO THE ORIGINAL SOFTWARE SAVED ILS?

  • System blocks the installation update to stage 11 of 15

I received my new Dell computer, 3 days ago. I turned it on for the 3 time and windows 7 Home Premium, said that an update was available. I clicked on install. I was watching "Please FEED NOT OFF OR UNPLUG YOUR MACHINE." INSTALLATION of UPDATE 11 OF 15 "on the screen for almost an hour now. I have VERIZON FIOS service.

It is interesting to note that I submit this question on my other old Dell computer from 3 day bought at the same time also with 7 Home Premium. The second machine not indicated an update was available.

How long should I wait for this update?

Obviously the system does not respond if his account as long. Try to do for a cold start on hold down on the power button until the power of the system down.

Start your system, run Windows Update again, note the number of KB for each update and go at http://microsoft.com/downloads and download each update and install them individually.
