blocked files

I downloaded this file "synaptic touch pad" on the internet. and always needs my permission to open. How can I make it open without permission?

What is the touch pad from Symantec?  What is doing?  You have, and you can post a link to their website so we can review the product?  It might help to identify and fix the problem if him below does not work.

It is probably a permissions problem with the shortcut or the real to the program executable file (or both).  You must get the right permissions and eventually take ownership of files or folders (or maybe even the parent folders) until you have the permissions you need.  You may need to use advanced properties to achieve, since special permits sometimes are hidden here that will replace those listed on the main page.

Here is some information on dealing with permissions and ownership, that should help you.  All this does not - can you stop once you have it without permission.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To view your permissions, right-click on the file/folder, click Properties, and check the Security tab.  Check the permissions you have by clicking on your user name (or group of users).  Here are the types of permissions, you may have: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-are-permissions.  You must be an administrator or owner to change the permissions (and sometimes, being an administrator or even an owner is not sufficient - there are ways to block access (even if a smart administrator knows these ways and can move them - but usually should not because they did not have access, usually for a very good reason).)  Here's how to change the permissions of folder under Vista: http://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-vista/set-file-folder-permissions-vista/.  To add take and the issuance of right of permissions and ownership in the right click menu (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/05/21/take-and-grant-full-control-permissions-and-ownership-in-windows-7-or-vista-right-click-menu/.

To resolve this problem with folders, appropriating the files or the drive (as an administrator) and give you all the rights.  Right-click on the folder/drive, click Properties, click the Security tab and click on advanced and then click the owner tab.  Click on edit, and then click the name of the person you want to give to the property (you may need to add if it is not there--or maybe yourself). If you want that it applies to subfolders and files in this folder/drive, then check the box to replace the owner of subcontainers and objects, and click OK.  Back and now there is a new owner for files and folders/player who can change the required permissions.  You can change now switched to read-only (even if the main folder indicates that they are always read-only - you can access yourself as the owner).  You can keep them in read-only to other users, customers and administrators even (although they can support themselves and access, if they wish, and it is really not that you can do to stop it except protect the file with a password by using a 3rd party product.)  Here is more information on the ownership of a file or a folder: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/67717-take-ownership-file.html.  To add take ownership in the menu of the right click (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-right-click-menu-in-vista/

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

I suggest to disable CAPS LOCK key since your message is all in the capital and difficult to read. Have you tried to add to the exception in the Windows Firewall? Try also to change your network connection for work or at home instead of public. Also make sure you installed the latest version of the driver and are compatible. Also try to run the tool:

  • Change the block/file Max size

When I formatted my storage I accepted the default size of the mã¡XIMUM file and the size of the block. I didn't know this would limit the size of my data stores (I thought it was just the maximum size of a file). Is there anyway to change on the fly, or do I have to all off svmotion and then remove and re-add the storage?

    Thank you.

Data store/logic unit number would be limited to 2 TB - 512 k in size (through ESX/ESXi 4.1 u1/VMFS 3.x). Depending on the block size, you went with, VMDK files will be limited to a maximum size. As 256Go with a block size of 1 MB. If you need larger files VMDK, then you will need for storage vMotion VM off the LUN/store data, reformat/recreate the LUN/store data, then they go back on it.

This is part of a proper planning in the way that you set the LUN... If you need to have 500 GB VMDK files, then do not use the block size of 1 MB. Similarly, do not use the size of block 8MB if you have<256GB vmdk="">

Take note of this. and set it to 1 MB (there is no place for your file in question). When you see that the tray is clear, again no matter what size it was. Check again. Clear them all to go? Boos! D

In Photoshop and Illustrator CS5 when I open an image or create a new image, programs crash for 3-10 seconds before I can do something. I can't select, copy, paste... whatever it is. • Windows 7 has blocked a file that I am trying to unzip

    Hello

Welcome to the community of Microsoft and thanks for posting the question. I've surely you will help find a solution on the issue.

If Windows 7 inform you that this file is harmful then you can safely assume that it is. It was probably altered during the compression process. Try to get an intact copy.

If you think the file is absolutely safe, I suggest to view the steps described in the article and try to perform.

  • How can I remove the box ' medicinal harmful, blocked access "to appear on my .zip file?

I am trying to open a .zip file that was sent to me. I can't do that because a stupid pop-up comes up saying "windows found this potentially dangerous file. To help protect your computer, Windows has blocked access to this file. Help! How can I disable that I can do this induction?

    Hi Rowena,

You can disable this feature to download files that are harmful to your computer, but this can be done at your own risk. This file can affect the performance of your computer. I would suggest trying the following steps and check if it helps.

Follow the steps to unlock the file:

    a. right click on the blocked file and then click Properties.

    b. on the general tab, click unblock.

If you use Windows 8 Pro, then try to change the settings in group policy.

Follow the steps to edit the Group Policy:

    a. press Windows + R keys and type: GPEDIT. SMC and press ENTER to open the Group Policy object editor.

    b. navigate to User Configuration > administrative templates > Windows components > Attachment Manager. You will find a couple of policies related to this function, but to disable, you will want to ACTIVATE the strategy called 'do not store the zone information in attachments'.

    c. close the GPO Editor.

    d. either logoff your computer, or local policy refresh by typing the following command in a command prompt or in the box run: /force gupdate.

Please reply with the status of the issue so that we can better help you.
