  I continue to receive calls from numbers not available with an Indian accent saying that they are from the Technical Department of windows and I have a problem with my computer. Normally, I just say that I don't have and hung up. Today, I took a little further and he said that they discovered that I had loads of malware/viruses etc and that they could identify with them. I was obviously very suspicious because he seemed to have my correct Windows ID number and with care on 'Run' he told me to type things like cmd eventviewer and inf where he referred to a file 1394.pnf. I stopped while he asked remotely to access my computer. However, I got a phone number 01916450337 and his P786000 id I noticed that many people are posting on your forum-is this another one of those scams?

  And determined that I have could be faced with a similar problem. I have two different templates.

  Master A - chapter Pages - I use for the chapter title pages where the margins are slightly different. It is also the number of the corresponding chapter to disaplyed.

  Master B - body Pages - this is where I have the copy of body of my chapters. for example H2 hollow H6, standard paragraph, figure lists, references, etc.

  

  All my chapters are built this way. Including my annexes.

  This is the Style of the chapter number, or positions - chapter title (H1)

  My references figure take the chapter number, I guess because the chapter numbers are not updated. Is this true?

  I corrected the page options nubering for each document. Still nothing. Checked the substitutions and styles. Authorized Overrirdes. And that looked like, he had to start work and then I rememebered sometimes assignments may cause problems with numbers. Then I checked each document, erased again substitutions (manually... thank you Adobe for the actions Palette) so I ran chapter numbers all update and Pará, and... * Taaaaaa Daaaa * for this worked.

  Thank you all for your help and your patience so I worked through this. We have some people who work on the document, otherwise I would not have done assignemnts this early in the project.

  The possible sollutions are...

  1. Check your document page numbering options.
  2. Check your Styles and your lists.
  3. Make sure your models are "contuning to the previous" in the numbering section.
  4. Make sure you have your assignments checked or not related.
  5. Check that you have not applied for substitutions. If you erase them.
  6. Run "Update all numbers" or "chapter numbers and paragraph update" after you have everything checked.

  I use FrameMaker 9 in Windows XP Professional, Version 2002, Service Pack 2.

  I inherited a FM document in the form of instructions that accompanies the third party technology that my company farmed.

  When I opened this document (built in FM 8), numbers (format X - X) have been completely out of use.

  Figures 5-1 to 5-4 are in order, but then the following figure shows the Figure 5-1, followed by the Figure 5-6, followed by the Figure 5-5.

  I'm not a user of FrameMaker itself; I'm more at home with PageMaker and InDesign, but it is a tool of choice for this document and I'm stuck with it.

  How can I get the numbers in the right order? Be clear and precise; I am not versed in lexicon FM. Thank you for your attention.

  The entries that you look in the document itself, or they are in a file separated as a list of numbers generated?

  If you speak a separate file of the list of Figures, out of sequence entries are almost always caused by some of the titles figure (but not all) being located inside a table or an anchored frame.

  The entries out of the sequence is because the chassis built lists in a certain predefined sequence: it looks at the flow of the main text of the document first, then looks at the text inside tables, then looks like the text in anchor text blocks (I may last two out of sequence, but in any case it is the reason).

  If it's the digit real numbering in the chapters, the problem is probably due to a problem with the installation of the chapter numbering. Place the cursor in the paragraph tag Figure. Open the paragraph Designer (use Ctrl-m), then look at the Dial tab which is the 4th icon from the left.  What is listed for the building blocks of automatic numbering?

  Big problem here.  I just download El Capitan on my iMac. In my posts, only phone numbers now appear to identify the person I receive or send messages.  How to fix this? All my other apple designs show my contact's name in the message.  Help, please?  Thank you!

  So far, it works for me.  I disabled imessage, group messaging, etc.  Got them all, then did a facetime with one of the contacts I have problems with.  Completed the facetime, and everything seems to work now.  Not knowing if he'll fix everybody, but it works now.

• Random numbers, not so much to chance

  I use a simple piece of code I found online to create a random number between two numbers

  I am trying to create random numbers for dice.

  Everything seems to work fine, but the numbers are not that random. I have a loop configuration to display the code above 50 times and it will make a loop over and over again the same number. Here is an example of the results

  Therefore, it is quite difficult to create a type of yahtzee game when you always roll a yahtzee on the first roll lol.

  Is there something I'm missing here?

  I agree that the Random function generates only numbers random nickname and there are interesting ways of the algorithm of seeds, I believe that in this case, the problem is that Random is not used correctly.  I think that random is intended to be used as shown in the following fragment.  I also think that random is perfectly satisfactory for use in this case, so I would not personally recommend looking for another algorithm.

  I have a level 3 Organization for my thesis and I can't get my legends of the figures without anchoring to say the section they forward their individual number.  However, I believe that I have set up the numbering correctly, because if I did the text box in my body of text messaging numbers begin to function properly.

  You need to have frames rooted of them, there is no way around get it numbered on the right.

• Tagging in Word 2007, Acrobat XI, page numbers not working not

  I have a Word 2007 docx file I am trying to convert it to a PDF file with active marking.  It converts to PDF very well, but once converted marking does not work.  Specifically, I'm trying reach the table of contents for the page tag on correlated pages numbers.  The only reason I can think that it does not is that page numbers in the footer of a Word.  I tried enabling all options of marking, but the page numbers will not be yet to score.  Any ideas?  Oh, I'm using Acrobat XI, 11.0.9.  Attached are the screenshots of my settings.

  

  So, thanks to a student C pointing me in the right direction, I found the answer to this question.  Acrobat keys off the coast of the Table of contents in Word to create clickable items.  Go to Word and go (I use Word 2007 in this example) references > summary > Add Table of contents.  I'm doing this from memory, so the steps may be slightly off.  Then you must select the parameters as indicated below and when the PDF is created, it will create a clickable table of contents.  This is what worked for me.  Good luck to anyone else.

• Page numbers not listed is not in data merge Document?

  Hello, I hope someone can help. I am fairly new to InDesign, but a lot of learning.  I create a directory the about 200 pages (around 2800 records merged from .csv in InDesign 6). Everything works fine with the merger, except generating page numbers.  I tried to add page at the bottom of the page number to the master BEFORE merging. But if I do this, it greys on the 'multiple records per page' option when you try to run the data merge (using 'create a merged Document').  So, I tried to add the page number to the A-master after you HAVE created the merged document, but the page number does not appear on the pages.  There must be a way to do it, can anyone help?

  (FYI - to generate the automatic page numbering, I go to the Page current-markers-character number special Type-Insert and put that in a field of text at the bottom of the page.)  Thanks in advance. )

  I don't see a page number in the mask of law and all of your pages are pages on the right.

  does anyone know of a solution to the following problem:

  1. I m using a keynote with a numbering/bullets and a background slide dark for the presentation.
  2. For the impression that it is much more convenient when you arrive in white background and black letters which is (almost) perfectly solved in keynote: in the print dialog box just uncheck the option "Print background" (in German: 'Folienhintergrund print')
  3. As I said earlier, this is a very good solution, but the bullets or numbers as in the example are lost.

  Is there a solution or should only be solved by apple with one of the next versions?

  I had the same problem recently with a presentation by using a nearly black background.

  I changed the color of the numbers to a dark gray (I think I used the Tin in the new provision "pencil"). It was enough "light" display on the screen and print the slide enough background 'dark' when printing "checked".
