  • Installation of Windows XP Pro on a new configuration of the motherboard. Installation locks a blue screen during the installation of devices. Assistance from ms said why, but not healing. Anyone know an answer?

My old motherboard gave the soul, and I have now installed a Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H with an AMD Phenom 6 processor and 4 GB of RAM.  The 2 HD is a Maxtor Sata 1 300 GB ones. One is divided into 2 equal partitions, the other has a single partition. During installation, it hangs at a blue screen during the "installing devices" and towards the end of the indicator. Removing everything except the essential, makes no difference.
With 0x0000000A IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error message States. This rising on the MS, it indicates:-stop this message indicates that a kernel-mode process or driver tried to access a memory address in which he was not allowed to access. The most common cause of this error is a bad or corrupted pointer that refers to an incorrect location in the memory. A pointer is a variable used by a program to designate a block of memory. If the variable has an incorrect value, the program tries to access memory that it shouldn't. When this occurs in a user mode application, it generates an access violation. When it occurs in kernel mode, it generates a STOP 0x0000000A messages. If you encounter this error during the upgrade to a newer version of Windows, it could be caused by a device driver, system service, a virus scanner, or backup tool which is not compatible with the new version.

I start with new parts, except the DVD & HDs drive and with a start-up Virgin & installation process. I'm not upgraded to the BONE, that's the one I was using before the reconstruction. The supplier of components, suspected of defective parts and cooperated in the provision of a set of replacement of parts, but there is no change in the problem.

If you have an nVidia graphics card, and then set the 3D settings 'let the application decide '.  Vertical scratches should disappear.

  • where is the lock in the right corner

I use to get a padlock in the lower right of the screen to let me know that I was at a secure site. I haven't it.

Excluding the toolbar at the bottom in Firefox 4, the security lock icon is no longer present. To check if a site is secure, look in the address bar at the page. If the beginning of the Web site starts with https:// (instead of http://) and the icon name and company of the site Web appears on a green or blue background (see the image attached), then the site is secure.

  • Satellite A200 - 1 M 8: the monitor shuts off and cannot back up to Vista

    Hello

I have the Satellite A200 - 1 M 8 with original Vista. Sometimes, I have some problems with the display (I have the latest drivers).
The monitor turns off (not as usual but it is gray instead of black) applications flow normally (I hear the music of film, this) but I can't get back into windows.

When I push button hibernation and I try to go back to windows, I see the blue screen then the computer resets.

It happens very often and is really frustrating because my internet disconnects and downloads.

I don't think that the temperature is too high because I think it's cool. How to fix this?
Maybe some graphics settings or new BIOS?

Please help me. I can't stand it!

  • Replacement of the monitor on Qosmio G20

    Hey guys,.

I'm having some trouble with my Qosmio G20 I would appreciate your help on.

In the month of October, I had an accident with my laptop. Basically, I dropped it and that ruins my monitor and optical drive module, monitor protects. Fortunately I had assured him so after £920 and a month, it has been repaired by Toshiba replace all component defective and execution of a comprehensive control system to make sure everything worked.

Just today a thin green/blue line appeared on the site of the left hand of my screen makes me extremely frustrated. The computer has been moved at all to justify a hardware failure. I checked the right graphics card find no problem at all not connected an external monitor) so I think the monitor replaced module was faulty.

Do any of you know if I am eligible for a new free replacement of defective or is monitor - this something else goes terribly wrong with my laptop?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • 860 - 009na: the monitor turns off during access to / applications change full screen

    Hello

I got a new computer packed with the HP Envy 32 inch monitor. I am running on an issue that is simply irrating and I don't know how to solve it.

Basically, the screen is empty. It is not a hard lock or whatever it is, he decides just during initialization more applications full screen (IE, a game) or even post Win10, connect, when computers are like "flickering" during the swap, the screen just turned off. This can be resolved by switching on the monitor input channel, or put the monitor in standby and distributed. On these occasions, I get sound through the screen.

So appearances, the screen continues to receive entries from the computer and because of switching the monitor off and on again, it display image as expected. This is a case where the monitor is simply decide that it does not want to display the image for reasons unknown. Such as energy conservation.

I updated the graphics card, provided I got most up to date display driver, double checked the connection... it just happens.

It feels like it some really boring affecting somewhere that makes the screen, and I really want to change it. For the moment, it is a rate have to turn on the screen and two times just to get the start menu, then if I insert a game, he does even once, when I leave the game, does it again. It does not occur when a game that supports the windowed mode - without borders is loaded (I guess because it is not 'true full screen').

Thus, it seems to happen during this process to set full screen.

Well, there is another cable that I was not in the box titled "DisplayPort".

So I changed my HDMI cable to use this one. The monitor works perfectly now... so as a workaround, this solved.

But the question remains, why the monitor was so weird when using HDMI? It might be marked up as a potential problem.

If you can tell us exactly what you see, chances are that someone has seen and knows how to solve this problem.

When you start mode without failure and the system crashes, which is the last line that you see on the screen (blah, blah should not be the answer).

Tell us something about your system:

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

Have you installed a new hardware or software before this affliction?

Was there something wrong before that lock in question, and to try to fix things, has taken a chkdsk or verification of disk errors?

While you wait, I think you should make you a bootable CD from the Console of the Recovery XP (no XP media required) and get your started on that system and run a chkdsk/r from the XP Recovery Console.

    Here's how:

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

This is not the same as recovery disks that might have come with the acquisition of the system store.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

When you install ImgBurn, DO NOT install the Ask toolbar.

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/recovery_console_cmds.mspx?mfr=true

A good idea before you start things must first verify the integrity of your file system by using the chkdsk command.

In the command prompt window, run the chkdsk command on the drive where Windows is installed to try to fix any problems on the afflicted player.

Running chkdsk is fine, even if he finds no problem.  It won't hurt anything to run it.

Assuming your boot drive is C, run the following command:

    CHKDSK C: /r

Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.

It may take a long time for chkdsk complete or they seem to be "stuck".  Be patient.  If the HARD drive led blinks always, chkdsk is something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.

You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.

Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the RC and restart the computer.

You have not to set the BIOS to boot the disk HARD since the CD won't be.

  • Blue vertical line on monitor

There is a vertical blue line on my screen and it is not the monitor iteself. I believe that it is from the software. I tried to restore to the day without the line but nothing happened. I also tried to open and restore in safe mode, but again nothing. If anyone can help, please explain in detail. Thank you!

    Hello

If the line is there in all modes, then we could indeed in the material of the monitor or a
    in the screen itself.

Try to update or reinstall your video/display driver. Also check with the manufacturer of your system
and the manufacturer of the device support and forums for known issues.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system. For
each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver, description,.
version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Adapter - note the brand and complete model of your
video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this
cannot do anything as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party with their
own the software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration) and then of the manufacturer of the device
(Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for the BIOS, Chipset and software)
updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - tab drivers version you install actually shows up. This
because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a
pilot - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW on device at the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER - manually check by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

This leaves ONE of Windows updates, but it will not install the drivers who are generally older and cause
questions. If updates offers a new driver and then hide it (right click on it) and then go look for new ones

  • My desktop Dell - Vista - computer does not, the monitor says no entry and have to wake up computer

I have a desktop Dell Vista computer.  A few days earlier, when I pressed the power button to turn it on, nothing happened.  When I turned on the monitor, he says that he came into power saving mode.  When I checked the monitor once again, he said that there is no entry for the computer and press any key of the keyboard or mouse to wake up.

The computer is plugged in and the green light in the back is on.  I don't remember putting the computer to sleep.  I thought I made a stop for a few days in advance.  Press and hold the power button on the computer does not start it or turn it off.  There is no sound (such as a fan).  I unplugged the computer briefly a few times, and then I finally unplugged overnight and is plugged in.  Light lights up in the back, but is not the "num lock" key on the keyboard and the light under the mouse does not light.

I checked a few suggestions on this site, but they all require that the computer be on and you enter in this form or the screen.  Is the computer dead?

    Thanks in advance.
