My Toshiba M35X laptop, Windows XP, works great. When I turned on it again once I received the following message:
UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME
If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check that any hardware software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask that your hardware to the software manufacturer for any windows updatesyou might need.
If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Safe mode.
Technical information:
Stop: OX 0000000ED (0X86B48738, 0XC 000009 C, 0x00000000, 0x00000000
I've tried everything. Safe mode or one of the other modes do not work, or "last known configuration.
None of the books on the computer repair tell me how to solve this problem.
Please, please help.
Although it is a Windows XP installation CD, should NOT be used either of the functions of the Installation. You will use the Recovery Console to run a program to check the structure of files on the hard drive and fix it if necessary. There is VERY little chance of what either being deleted! And you'll still have SP3 when all is said and done. :-)
That being said, it is important to ensure that everything is always stored safely.

It's true - you will not engage in any mode with this error and you must type in the EXACT error you see carefully (there are more than that, right?).
You need to return to the answer that you have marked as 'response' and stand OUT the response of engaged Microsoft Support Engineer 'expert' as the 'response' since it is essentially just another wild goose chase. A response is not the same as a response.
Doing so others will allow this look only for unanswered questions to help you.

Satellite A350 - blue screen with error message
At the start of windows7, I get a blue screen with error message 0 x 0000116.
Can someone help please?
It looks like a graphics driver is a troublemaker. Try to reinstall a graphics driver in SafeMode (f8 at startup). Read this article for more information:
http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/vistahardware/thread/eb584685-6b8b-4ad7-B6CC-ae5ee78095fb
It is for VISTA but should be the same for win 7 too.

I get a blue screen with error messages asking if this is the first time I get the error and then at the end it says: it is dumping memory. I would wipe my hard drive and reinstall XP but my system is out of warranty and HP gives me a recovery CD. What are my options.
Hello
If you are looking to purchase a set of recovery disc for your system, you can visit the site http://www.restoredisks.com/.
NOTE: This site is not the HP website and it's a third-party site where they provide the recovery for different computer manufacturers disk (they charge for discs).

If you can properly connect mode without failure, you can use "msconfig" to toggle various programs that load at startup. Finally, find the one that is causing your program to crash.

Computer stops with a blue screen with error fatal when the iPhone is connected
I know it may not related to windows but I have tried other sites on this issue. My computer stops and a blue screen appears with the message saying fatal error when the iPhone is connected. I tried with or without iTunes installed.
First without iTunes installed, windows will be asked to USB drivers for the iPhone, but I couldn't find anything on the Apple Web sites if I click No., a message appeared, saying that it might not work properly because he could not recognize my device. Second, I have the latest version of iTunes installed, windows began to recognize my iPhone but stop immediately after that with a blue screen fatal error and messeage saying updating the BIOS. Updated the BIOS of the computer, but nothing helped.
My computer runs on Windows XP Home Edition SP3, processor Intel Core Duo 1'66 GHz, 2 GB Ram, Intel GMA 950, Intel 945 GM chipset.
I thought that it requires no USB driver for iPhone on Windows or same iTunes unless I wanted to use it for synchronization or characteristics. Please forgive me if I'm wrong, because I tried it on other computers and it had no problem with the USB drivers and Windows can install by itself.
Thank you.
Hi 1980ckc,
1. have you tried to connect the iPhone to a different USB port?
You can check out the apple support link and check if it hleps:
