FF freezes my computer while watching videos. What do I do?
Hello.
Yes, for some time now, Firefox keeps the gel my computer while watching videos on YouTube or streams on Twitch.
It started a few weeks back & I couldn't solve the problem, I changed my Chrome. But I don't like it, so yesterday, I decided to go back to my fav browser: Firefox. But my problem is: when I watch a video, my browser always keeps freezing my entire MacBook. It starts with the video just stop but continues to go audio for about 10 to 20 seconds. Then I can't move the cursor and finally the noise dies and nothing does not react anymore. I can not even open the activity monitor, or do something else. So the only possibility for me to come back and do stuff is hard reset my laptop and start again.
This just happened to me twice in the two last & 4 or 5 times in the last 24 hours... I'd really appreciate if someone could point me to a solution.Oh and I'm on OS X 10.10.2 using Firefox 36.0.1 (but this happened also on before 35.x). Hardware acceleration is disabled & flash is on its last version. Cache was emptied several times as well.
Accidents or other problems with some multimedia content in Firefox (for example, videos from YouTube and Flash animations or games) can often be solved by doing as in these Knowledge Base articles:

BlackBerry Smartphones watching videos online
I have a blackberry 9300 3 and for some or other reason, I can't watch videos online more. I have the phone for about 8 months and already I was able to watch videos on the internet without problem but now it loads like forever and when he finally starts it pads all the time. Please can anyone help with this?
Hello and welcome to the community!
Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.
Best!

Re: Laptop wide screen goes blank when I watch videos online
Hello
Just bought a Toshiba Satelite laptop. I installed windows 7, 64-bit in the car. A works well apart from when I watch a video on sites like youtube it sometimes works for a bit, sometimes not at all and the screen goes black as it is turned off.
The computer is still on, but it's just the screen is disabled and any buttons I press it remains empty, forcing me to shut the whole thing.
I installed Internet Explorer 9 and also Adobe more recent flash player for 62 bit drivers. I'm so frustrated! No matter that I just can not read video online!Have you tested with different browsers?
I recommend you to check this with chrome or firefox. -
When I try to go full screen while watching a video, I get a white screen
While watching a video (IE, the youtube video), I press the full screen in the right corner, but all I get is a white screen.
Hi RalphDuran,
· You use Internet Explorer?
· If Yes, then which version of IE are you using?
· How long have you been faced with this problem?
· Did you do changes on the computer before the show?
· What is the number and the model of the computer?
· The problem only occurs with YouTube or any other video as well?
Try the methods and check the results below:
Method 1: Try changing the screen resolution something like 1024 x 768, then check if the problem persists. You can check the link for the steps below:
To change your screen resolution:
Method 2: Install the drivers of the last update of the device screen and check the result.
a. click on Start
b. click run, in the Open box type devmgmt.msc
c. find display driver
d. double-click the type of device
e. right click on the device driver specific you want to update or change.
f. click put updated driver to open the Hardware Update Wizard. Follow the instructions in the wizard
Method 2: You can also check if uninstall then reinstall adobe flash player allows.

My Windows 7 (Ultimate 64), m9058n, Pavilion Elite HP, seems to have serious problems. Whenever I'm playing games such as (TF2/steam games) or try and watch videos/flash things online, it appears to hang. What is happening is the monitor turns off, then the round ends. Just browse web pages or by looking at the Office does not this at all. No idea what this could be. Supposedly, my drivers are up to date, please help! Thanks in advance!
