Help

I guess that's it is time to make a new installation, taking into account the error you receive after repair and the SFC scan installation.

Do a clean install. (assuming that you have a backup)

Clean install has various advantages.

  • Windows XP splash screen vanishes

My desktop runs on Windows XP service pack 3. No recent new software.
For the last 2 days when I boot the Windows splash screen (black background) runs, and at the point where it would usually turn into blue background (welcome, loading settings...) the screen disappears completely. No option is possible except reboot or turn off.
Succeeded in getting going to start asking you to use the "last known good configuration".
Rather than continue with this as a routine, I did a system restore, restore a few days ago point was good.
It seemed to work if I do not remember if I rebooted it to test it.
Today, that commissioning has the same problem. What happened to the point of restoration that I used? Is there something better, that I can do?
    Thanks for help.

    Hello
Try the steps listed in the link and check if this may help:
Computer stops responding with a black screen when you start Windows XP:
  • Windows XP hangs at the splash screen (logo). Dim screen when hooked.

I do have problems starting XP 2 on two different hard drives.  I'm more concerned at this time is described in the title.  I bought a new hard drive (Western Digital Caviar Blue WD3200AAKS 320) to back up the data on my old hard drive, due to the other XP startup problem and installed Windows XP Home edition, as well as my motherboard drivers, etc..  It starts very well, at first, but then started a curtain to the start screen (and the splash screen is very low in this case).  I tried to remove some additional applications provided with the motherboard, no luck.  I tried to reinstall XP several times, and who has not helped.  I tried to update my video driver, running chkdsk, running Windows Memory Diagnostic (which does no problem), cleaning the registry with Advanced System Care Pro, unplug all USB devices and network cable, etc.  He continues to hang at the splash screen (weakly).  When I try to start in safe mode, it hangs at "mup.sys.  So far, I'm able to get XP to start by repeated restart later...  I searched the web to find a solution for this and have found no definitive answer.  I just ordered another new hard drive and Windows 7.  I intend to dual boot with windows 7 the new HD and XP on the current disc (assuming that this problem can be solved!).

My other problem is on my old sister Hitachi 160 GB IDE hard drive.  A few months, our PC stop working.  After buying a new power supply (Corsair TX650w) and determine that he was not a power supply problem, I bought a new motherboard (GA-MA785GT-UD3H), (AMD Phenom II X 2 555 3.2 Ghz) CPU, RAM (CORSAIR XMS3 DHX 4 GB (2 x 2 GB) 240 - Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333), and some new fans (old system died due to heat issues).  Once I had it put in place and I tried to boot XP from my old drive, he just went in a "boot loop".  He gets to the XP splash screen, goes black and restarts, again and again.  I tried setting the installation of XP with XP CD 3 or 4 times, without success.  This question is not as big of a deal to me now, because I now have the new hard drive with the new number to start XP (intermittent).  My main goal with the old hard drive was to save all my data.  That is, life turns on if I can't start XP on this drive (the one with the boot loop).

    Thank you for your time!

The BIOS update has * seems * solved the problem!  I rebooted it 4 or 5 times, but also completely off the PC and it starts today.  Did not repeat the problem so far!

  • Win XP crashes after the splash screen (charge PointSec)

I have a laptop lenovo t400, which has Pointsec Encryption (6.1.3), and WinXP loaded thereon.

I ran the update tool think that Vantage Lenovo that has downloaded and installed a number of updates - I didn't run it for centuries.

Now when I try to start the computer it crashes after the XP splash screen is displayed. Simply, the screen goes black.

I tried the options Mode safe (include VGA Mode and start with the last successful configuration) without success. Also, they fail to start.

    The flow rate is:

Power On, screen authentication PointSec, Win XP Splash screen, and then a black screen

I got successfully into the system using UBCD4Win with pointsec plugin loaded, load a WinPE environment on a USB and allows me to access the C: drive unencrypted (as I've authenticated with Pointsec).

I'm really stuck for ideas as to the update is the cause of the problem and I'd love to hear some suggestions on how to remedy this situation.

    Additional information:

The last lines in ntbtlog.txt is:

Not load the parallel driver live

Did not load driver bios SM service

Did not load driver SM bus service

    Loaded driver \SystemRoot\System32\Drivers\Cdfs.SYS

    Search:

    c:\Windows\$NtServicePackUninstall$

Looks like that Service Pack 3 has been installed:

    File: spuninst\spuninst, inf shows:

    NtServicePackVersionText = "Service Pack 3".
    NtServicePackPreviousVersionText = "Service Pack 2".

    Fixed!

The problem has been updates to lenovo (probably guilty being the video driver that I presume).

Using UBCD4Win with pointsec plugin I was able

    * Access to the decrypted c:

    * Restored manually updates to c:\windows\system32 and c:\windows\system32\drivers

Original files have been found in places like: c:\windows\system32\reinstallbackups\008\DriverFiles

    * Finally, I had to roll back updates of the register who did the updates. UBCD4Win offers a tool to do this: the registry Restore Wizard. He basically just look in c:\System Volume Information System Restore directory and lists all the Restore Points available (Fortunately the Lenovo updates mark a restore point until they run). You can also do it manually using the following instructions:

    http://hypography.com/forums/tutorials-and-how-tos/17193-XP-recovery-instructions-for-UBCD4Win.html

This makes the system successfully booted.

I've most definitely will be staying clear after you press the big blue button in the future. It was a nightmare to fix.

  • Lightroom 6 does not. Splash screen will not go away. Task Mgr "not responding".

Downloaded and installed (twice), you click ok to update the catalog LR 5 (will not find a LR 6 cat, however), but the splash screen will not go away and program will not work.  Circle of blue rotation on forever, task manager says does not.

I downloaded and install creative cloud and Lightroom 6 works now, it seems to pick up on initial start-up... How are we suppose to know?

  • Splash screen behavior

I'm not clear on the behavior of the 'splash' screen in a custom Viewer. I understand that for a single question app, image of the start screen appears every time that you run the app, regardless of where you let him read the last app.

But for multi-questions applications, start screen you seem to "come and go". I noticed that it appears the first time you run the application and then once in a blue moon after that. But it appears whenever you actually read a problem within the app.

Can someone tell me what the behavior of the splash screen is supposed to be for a multi-question application?

What I really want, it's the ability to have a splash screen image that ALWAYS appears when you enter a problem multi app in any question. In other words, I want the reader to see our corporate image, whenever they read or re-read each question a multi-question application.

Second question: is the future roadmap for animation or video in this image on the screen "splash"?

The start screen appears for 2 or 3 seconds, every time that the application must be loaded. If the application is stored in the device memory, the splash screen does not appear. On the iPad, you can get the Home button twice to display the app tray then remove the tray app (tap and hold, delete). When you start the application again, the splash screen is displayed. I'm not aware of a way to get the splash screen to appear even if the application is loaded into the memory of the device.

  • GTX 980 and no splash screen

I have a ti GTX 980 flashed running in a Mac Pro(on external power) 2010. It shows only a splash screen, however, so I attach a No 4 k monitor DVI port. Monitors Dell P2415Q 4 k (except for a random time) show no video until the initialization is complete. This means that I must keep an old DVI monitor on all the time to get not only the splash screen but even to get any video output at all on end of startup. Without a monitor DVI the Dells don't show any video and go mode 'sleep'. Bootcamp Windows 7 displays the same behavior. Any ideas?

How the P2415Q is normally connected? If you try HDMI then try rather Displayport.

If your card was flashed did buy you it from MacVidCards? If so, ask them for assistance.

  • A double issue of splash screen

A new Macbook Air configuration, after an attempt abandoned to transfer data from the old to the new mac, I have now two start "screens". It happened because I was prompted to choose a different user account name (probably because there's already the original registered name) so now I start screen one, with a version of my name of account to computer, then followed by a second splash screen, with the slightly modified name. Trying to remove this duplicate, I removed the original in users and accounts and it appears is no longer there, but the splash screen persists, making it necessary for me to register twice to get online. Because I set up all my Web sites, mail etc, I don't want to repeat it. Somehow remove this first splash screen?

  • HP w1907: implementation gets stuck to the 'HP invent' blue Boot Screen

    Hi all

I have HP w1907 desktop... I use it since 2008.
Last month I format to have the new windows 7 in it... Previously I was also working with win7 Ultimate.

But it's keep restarting after the use of 4-5 minutes and so I installed the entire operating system yet.

It worked very well... after 3-4 weeks, when I started it, it gets stuck at the 'HP invent' blue Boot Screen.

This display has the instructions to enter the "Boot Menu", "Setup" and "System Recovery" by pressing key "F11" aor "Esc", "F10".  It is just there for ever.

If I try to enter the 'Boot' Menu by pressing the 'Esc' key, I get the message "Loading Boot Menu... ", but then it hangs there forever just.  If I try to enter the "Setup" Menu, I get a similar result - it says 'enter the Setup... ". "and just hangs there.  By pressing the "F11" key does not seem to do anything.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Searching the forums I tried to reset the BIOS - who I've got from here:

    and

After doing this too, the result is null

    Please help me...

    I'm in a hurry...

    Thank you.

Date and the incorrect time can certainly cause problems.  What happens usually, however, is that the sites Web will not be opened because the State in which the certificate is not up-to-date.  I have not heard of the time and date causing the computer does not start.  I think that you need to change the CMOS battery.  Here's a guide on how to change it.  The guide has also some good troubleshooting information.

Once the battery has been replaced, we'll see what happens.

  • First HP: The first HP splash screen disabling

I love my first HP but I'm a little tired of seeing the logo of "HP" pop a few seconds every time I turn on my computer.   Is it possible to disable?   (or by shortening the time)

It was ok when I used it just here and there, but now that I use it for hours, it becomes a bit annoying to have to wait few seconds every time that happens.

Good and bad news.  The bad news is: no, there is no setting that disables the start screen.  The good news is: you don't need to wait for it to go away.  The keyboard buffer becomes active as soon as the ignition, so run some keys you press on during the splash screen when the startup screen goes.  Simply turn on your first and start using it right away, even when the start screen shows.  Nice, huh?

Hope that helps!  DISCLAIMER: I do not work for HP.

  • Satellite L675D: Blue error screen after upgrading to Windows 8

    Hello

I recently updated my laptop to Windows 8 Toshiba and whenever I use it, after 5-10 minutes, I get a page of the Blue error screen and restart the laptop.

    The problem is really annoying.

I discovered that if I plug the battery charger, the phone works normally, but I want to solve the problem correctly.

    What should I do?

I m wondering about your model of laptop. What cell phone do you have exactly?

    Regarding your question:
I would like to get this right, with the battery it works ok, but when the AC adapter is plugged, it crashes?

What happens when you connect the front adapter from the laptop would be turned on?

How have you installed the Windows 8? Move the laptop Win 7 to Win 8 or have you installed Windows 8 clean system?
Are installed all the drivers Toshiba Windows 8?

    Another idea:
Go to Windows 8 Device Manager and uninstall the device called compatible ACPI control method battery
Restart the machine and check how it works.

    Hello

We just bought some HP t520s to complete a lab that we t510s.  The t510s work very well.  The t520s are almost here.  I just need to hide a pesky startup screen.  When the t520 marketing and gets to the GUI, but before that the network is connected, it displays a splash screen telling me that his "waitting for the network.  Unfortunately, this splash screen also has a button called "network settings."  This button, this bad boy is what I want to disable delete or hide.  I don't care if the start screen appears or not, but in giving users access to network settings and host name and all sorts of settings is a waitting accident to happen.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can get rid of this button?  I would really appreciate hints, ideas, comments or words of wisdom on this topic.

    Thanks to you all!

Try the following: in xterm type regeditor, go to config-Assistant, enablenetworkcheck the value 0, enableupdatecheck the value 0, the network/update dialog box will not be displayed. You must type the value in the value dialog box and click on save before you go to the following registry key. If this does not work as expected please open a case with www.hp.com/go/support
