Bluescreen crashes/reboots

Hello.

I made a post here recently on blue screen crashes and posted my dump file. I was told it was my video drivers causing accidents,

I advanced and installed new video drivers, but now I had another accident of blue screen and rebooted itself.

Here is a link to the minidumps. The first was before and now this second was after installing the new drivers, now, I'm not sure that the pilots were so the problem or something else.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

We need the DMP file because it contains the single record of the sequence of events that led to the accident, what drivers have been loaded, and what has been loaded.

WE NEED AT LEAST TWO FILES DMP TO SPOT TRENDS AND TO CONFIRM THE DIAGNOSIS.
You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting in SafeMode (F8) with networking.
If you are overclocking stop.  (chances are that if you are unsure if you are, you are not)

  • How canI force FF DO NOT reload old session after crash/reboot the PC?

My PC has problems and crashes. This isn't a problem with FF BUT: cause me this problem in FF: after reboot, when I restart FF he tries to recharge old session, EVEN if my options are set to 'Show my home page' and NOT 'my windows/tabs from last time '. When he tries to restore the tabs, FF, it causes my PC to hang & crash AGAIN! How can I force FF again, as if I could close healthy? Maybe a way to launch FF in 'safe mode', sort of? • Advice needed w / BlueScreen crashes & other questions

My problems with my PC started to happen a week ago, so things are a bit cloudy, but I'll try to describe what happened as best as I can:

I have a Core 2 Quad Core 2.4 ghz Dell PC games with a Nvidia 8800 GT 512 MB series video card. I believe that I have Windows Vista Home Premium 32 - bit OS. He brought me 3 years of great gaming experiences. He ran all the games that I threw at it. Last Friday, I decided to try one of those to play online MMORPG. If after downloading and installing the game, I noticed that my monitor turns off during the game. I thought nothing of it at the time I thought it was characteristic's fiery energy saving. Since it was my first time, the game, I thought maybe it was a common problem in this game here. Saturday afternoon, things started to get worse. By practicing a game I have played several times before this incident, my monitor has started to fade in the middle game. When he came back it is on the "Blue screen" screen of the failure. This has happened several times, each to say something in the sense of "display driver has encountered an error and could not recover. When I clicked on more information, it was this: (re-written by hand)
    Signature of the problem:

On the solutions tab, he registered 4 options, all involving updating drivers display but in different ways. I went to the Nvidia site and downloaded and installed the latest drivers for my graphics card. It does not help at all. Then, I downloaded the latest virus definitions and tried to launch a complete system using Norton virus scan twice. Other a few tracking cookies, it says that my machine was clean. I ran a full scan of the system with Malware Bytes. This program, said that my machine was clean as well. I then disabled Norton, allowing me to perform a system restore and I went back to a date before I met problems. The game I tried to play always kept crashing in the middle game, back to the blue screen. At that point, I gave up for the day.
When Sunday rolled around, I tried to turn on my PC and couldn't even get into windows. It just kept crashing repeatedly on the blue screen once I put my user password. After the safe boot mode, the problem seemed to go away. I might actually get into windows in normal mode. I tried to play the same game as I was the day before. This time, instead of crashing on the blue screen, my screen would glitch out with distorted on the screen and flickering before the freeze tasks and forcing me to power down by holding the power button. After reloading windows, my screen would always twinkle randomly, this time outside of any game. I tried to load other games, and they have froze as well. I could always watch movies without any problem.
Monday is when my PC bit the dust. I was getting flickers of light on the screen. Sometimes the screen would just go black, then the screen would be cut off, back on, again and again. Sometimes he just would go black and never arrived, forcing me to turn off the power button. Then when loading windows, it would be just a black screen, showing only the cursor and the loading sign. When I booted in Safe Mode, the colors of the screen became distorted and my screen went in the lowest resolution possible. Now I see only the basic colors, and the resolution can not display even all my icons on the desktop, because it is so extended. I think that by default, the display is stuck in 1 lower than 800 x 600 resolution. I can't change the resolution. If I try, nothing happens. There are distortions for reasons that appear when you start the computer to the top.
Is it possible to fix my computer
? Now my computer is pretty useless. Is it a super virus that destroyed my computer without even being detected by anti-virus programs? Or has my graphics card decide to have a magma down? I hope to exhaust all other options before to go out and spend $ 200 on a new card and I would come if I discovered that the card wasn't even the problem.

I think that your video card has probably seen its best days. If you Google BCCode: 116 and follow some of the many threads, 116 leading usually to the graphics card. Because you tried latest drivers without improvement, and now the Display Mode without failure is affected, the replacement may be your only option.

You can see the rear panel of your Dell to see if he has a VGA connector for onboard video; the nVidia 8800 GT may have been part of PC games package.

BTW - you should be able to find a good nVidia adapter based for under $ 100

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Joey, I'm 66 years old.  Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks.  More complicated these contraptions get more this type of problem occurs.  It seems to go in the territory.

Launch a game from a flash drive could certainly cause unique problems.  I've never tried, but each time that you connect a disk indirectly, this creates new circumstances.  I've been a player for many years.  I used a second drive to install my games, but decided to make more room in my case of medium-sized, so I removed the second disc.  This increases the air flow which is necessary for the high end games.

    Good luck!

  • Crash/reboot of the server: vnetflt.sys

    Hello

Does anyone know or someone at - he heard or saw any problem with the driver for VMXNET3 with Windows 2003 R2?

We lack ESXi 5.5 with a mixture of Windows and Linux clients. We have migrated all of VMware Server 2 using the VMware vCenter Converter to bring everything up to VM version 10. VMware Tools have been installed.

Since the migration of Windows guests have been very unstable:

    * Windows 7 comments 'locked' or 'frozen' once and we had to reboot the host to get it back up and running

    * Windows 2003 Server R2 comments also "froze" requiring a reboot of the host

Different someone from Windows 2003 R2 is crashing and restarting a TCPIP question.

All three guests are configured with the VMXNET3 Adapter Type. All three machines have experienced "in camera". Night last time Windows Server 2003 R2 clients have crashed and restarted on The STOP ERROR 7f.

I analyzed the crash dump memory for both Windows Server 2003 R2 customers and they both are pointing the finger directly vnetflt.sys . Clients are configured with Type VMXNET3 adapter and underlying material on the ESXi host is an Intel 82599EB Gigabit 10 IFC / SFP +. Interfaces of the clients come using the vmxnet3 driver version 1.5.1.0 Ethernet adapter (vmxnet3n51x86.sys) and report 10 Gbps speed. The check box for the power management is also (option "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"). Maybe should be turned off?

No one can say or do someone knows or has heard of problems with the vnetflt.sys. It is a component of the VMXNET3? Should I use a different driver?

    Clues are appreciated.

  • Pavilion m9340f crashes with a blue screen error. Windows 7 Ultimate 64

Running Windows 7 on my computer of Pavilion m9340f, I lived occasional crashes 'blue screen '. To try to solve the problem, I inserted carelessly the original Windows 7 DVD in the drive of the computer, thought could be used to repair the problem, or "reboot" of the software. What has resulted, it was that the newly installed Windows 7 was found to be "not a copy genuine Windows" and would not allow me to use the features of the operating system.  I was then told to format the hard drive of my computer, I did, and I did a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate, which now has been accepted as authentic. Initially, the computer seems to work normally, but BlueScreen crashes became more frequent, occurring almost every time I used the computer. I run HP Diagnostics that shows no problem. I have eliminated most of the software programs that could cause a conflict. I am running, currently: Norton 360 first Edition, Microsoft Word 2010 and Google Chrome - one of them could be the cause of the conflict? Please advise on possible solutions. Thank you!

    Steve N.

    Hi Steve,.

Try to delete (see below) everything except a strip of Ram in the computer and then see if it will work normally.  If this is the case, add another stick in and try again - as soon as the blue screen events happen, you will know that the last stick of ram you have installed is the problem.

If the PC bluescreens yet with one stick of RAM, try the same stick, but in a different location - if it works OK now, this may indicate that the location of memory has failed.  If there's some bluescreens, remove the Ram and try the process above with a different memory module.

Guide for the addition or deletion of Ram.

Let me know the result of this.

Then, I tried to find out what happened on this day: there was an automatic installation of an update of definition for Windows Defender (KB2267602 (definition 1.137.336.0).) Looking at the previous day, the following are installed:
    • Google Drive
    • Update Google Helper
    • Microsoft Hardware USB keyboard
    • Microsoft Hardware USB mouse
    • Generic Non Plug-and-Play monitor
    • AccuWeather.AccuWeatherforWindows8
    • InvokeITLimited.TableClock
According to the reliability monitor, the problem occurs about fifteen to twenty-five times a week. The level of reliability varies from 1 to 4. (I don't know what the vertical scale means that there is no label.)
In Event Viewer, this is a typical mistake:
    The failing application name: explorer.exe, version: 6.2.9200.16433, time stamp: 0 x 50763312
The failed module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.2.9200.16420, time stamp: 0x505ab405
    Exception code: 0xc0000374
    Offset: 0x00000000000ea485
ID of the process failed: 0 x 1248
Start time of application vulnerabilities: 0x01cdd502eff7d1ec
    The failing application path: C:\Windows\explorer.exe
    The failed module path: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll
    Report ID: a991c3a6-4169-11e2-be88-e06995f573cd
Faulting full name of the package:
ID of the failed package-parent application:
Every mistake I checked has the same code exception and faults of program and modules. (Besides - I tried to click on the "Event log online help" link but get an error itself is in error, but it's a slow minor compared to the issue of cycle explorer.exe crash/reboot.)
I just started going through applications Windows 8 and uninstall, in hope, where is the problem. (One interesting thing is that the issue almost never happens when I'm not using my computer - it occurs most often when I save a file in a program (it is often with Photoshop Elements, but this is not the only program that seems to induce the cycle crash/restart).) At least the file I save is not damaged...
    Information System
    Windows 8 Pro
    Processor: Intel Core I7-3960 X
    RAM: 32 GB
    System type: 64-bit OS
    Motherboard: Intel DX79SI
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670
Paving work my OS ("Refresh") is not really a solution (solving a problem by clearing, it is not a fix - it is a hope).
Just for fun, I ran scf - he said he couldn't find any errors ("Windows Resource Protection not found any breach of integrity.").
Thanks for reading in a lengthy post.
