  I have an Aspire 5745 G notebook with 1 GB of vram gt420m. But the settings Advanced display indicate that 128 MB video memory dedicated why is this?

  Another thing, I would like to know is can I put definitively END using system memory by disabling the Intel HD graphics card? I would use gt420m dedicated as my primary GPU. Is this possible?

  

  It shows 128 MB because that's the amount available for the Intel HD graphics card which is running by default.
  NVidia will give you the only cases of need. This reduces the drain of the battery and gives longer run time.

  Although it is possible, I don't know how you can make the default GPU nVidia. Personally, I see no advantage to do so as the nVidia will use more power and generate more heat for nothing.

  Allowing the GPU from Intel to run that by default should have no detrimental effect like a seamless switch will happen when necessary. Of course, when you run more demanding applications such as games, etc., you can ensure explicitly that the nVidia is and uses the parameter you need in the nVidia control panel.

  I installed the latest graphics driver available on the acer support site. But some apps still needs version over her most recent. If I didn't update my vga drivers, I am unable to run these applications. But I want to somehow run them WITHOUT having any problems. I know that the drivers intel generics don't work very well with the gpu on measure. But acer provides a newer version of the vga drivers or I can run pilot intel generic without getting into trouble?

  I have a lovely little Aspire V5-17 t.

  I recently booked my copy of Windows 10 and the little app that checks compatibility Windows 10 threw up several flags autour bluetooth in Aspire.

  He specified the following as not compatible:

  Bluetooth Audio device

  Bluetooth AVRCP Qualcomm Atheros device

  Supported virtual Bluetooth (including Audio)

  Device Bluetooth de LWFLT (also Qualcomm)

  Bluetooth hardcopy cable replacement server (also Qualcomm).

  Acer is aware of this problem? Will there be updates of pilot released before July 29 (release date for Windows 10)?

  Thanks Billsey. According to the guidelines of my original post, the application Microsoft Windows 10 said that the laptop was Windows 10 ready except the bluetooth.

  I updated the laptop for Windows 10 last week.

  Interestingly, he installed a Microsoft driver for bluetooth.

  The hardware only problem I encountered was with the touchpad. Reinstalled Windows 8 drivers for the touchpad momentum and that fixes the problem.

  He has no control of downloadable fan which will focus on the Acers. You have some alternatives (I mentioned you) you need to know for yourself or anything. You can also open your laptop and rewiring of the fan for a hot wire and work 100% all the time. RE everything seems promising and not terribly difficult. Here is a sample

  I think it's because your machine is not eligible for an upgrade to Windows 8. But you can always buy Windows 8 and istall in your machine.

  I am so happy, if Acer team is kind enough to add my model in the list as well. I have aspire 5745G computer laptop with the first Genesis 640 M i7 processor (2.8 GHz), NVIDIA GeForce GT 420 M 1 GB graphics, 4 GB DDR3 and 500 GB 5400 RPM HARD drive. These materials is more than enough to handle Windows 8. I ran Windows 8 Upgrade Wizard in my system, and he said that everything is compatible with Windows 8 except Secure Boot. Individual hardware vendors also have the latest device drivers with windows compatibility 8. But Acer have not added "Windows 8 x 86 / x 64" in the drop-down list selection o/s "Drivers and manuals" section again (windows 7 is the only option for now).  BTW loads pages for my model of Google search as well. It's on the top for a few months. But now, I couldn't see care pages from different sites (not Acer). Fix all these things as well.

  1 - check in device like this Manager:

  -Click Start

  -Type the command mmc devmgmt.msc in the box Search

  -Check the devices that have a '!. Expand, double click and write down the name and the version of the driver (Atheros or Broadcom) bluetooth

  2 - Download this driver on the Acer support website

  3. uninstall the driver in Device Manager (see #1).

  4 install the downloaded driver

  Tell me if you have Win7, 8 64-bit.
