• Information on "Company name" missing when building one. EXE

  Hello all, sometimes in the past weeks, something has gone wrong in my installation of CVI 2009 SP1 and now the name of the company information is missing when creating the executable

  I have an application created in the beginning ot April it is correctly showing this element in the properties of the file, but when I opened the project now and watch in Build > Target Settings > substitutions of Panel and preview Version Info the name of the company is missing even if '% company' is present on the ground.

  I tried to change the registry manually according to this thread (9.1 subkey) without success: missing company and username as well as the number of series, but even if manually add the name of the company is still missing from the Panel of configuration target and in the same executable file after restart of the CVI and PC.

  I also tried to change manually the .prj file and after this file deletion of cvibuild and files .cws and _dbg, always without success

  IE that the CVI and compiled executable work correctly: it is not a question of errors or unexpected behavior, i's just a question about the management of versions correctly our work (and the fear that this situation hides a more serious problem )

  What may have happened and how can I correct this situation?

  In regards to workaround you've tried, referring to the other forum thread, in CVI 2009 this information are kept is no longer in the registry. For reasons related to the UAC, it has been moved to a file. By default, this file is located in the following location:

  XP:  C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\National Instruments\CVI2009\bin\userinfo.ini

  Vista/7: C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\CVI2009\bin\userinfo.ini

  Make sure that the file exists, and that there a [RECORDING] section, with a "CompanyName" label that it contains.

  If it does not exist, also check your startup screen to see if the name of the company appears in the top/left corner.

  Finally, if instead of % company, you type an arbitrary string of characters for the company in the Version information dialog box, this string appears also in the "overview of the substitutions" mode, and it makes the executable you build?

  I installed MS Office (Excel, work, etc.) but lately I find can'f the name of the program to start when the Start button-click. But I can open the file and the word excel file.

• How can I set digitally Board chart origin?

  How can I numerically define the origin of the work plan? The answer closest I can find online advises do to drag the origin of drag? It's irritating because I think most people use Illustrator because of its accuracy. Why on earth would I just arbitrarily plop my artboard original any old where it's only the basis of my project as a whole. Anyone know how to change digitally?

  Let me give you an example of what I mean. I need set the origin of the artboard to the x axis of a scatter chart. The label of this axis is centered vertically, so the work plan must actually extend on 3pts below the x axis. Not only that, but I would go back on the artboard so that when I traced my points, I can simply enter the number, rather than do a lot of math to get it in the correct position. I realize in Illustrator, there's a chhart tool, but it will not work for this project.

  Right now, I have a work plan which is 144pt high, the x axis is at 137.19pt and the bottom of the label for the x axis is 144 ft. I need 0 to 137.19 and reverse axis, as well as a period is positive.

• ADD BOARD CHART AFTER REORGANIZATION

  When I try to add a plan of work at the end of a horizontal line of boards I get the message: Impossible to create the plan of work outside the canvas. Please rarrange, and then try again.

  When I reorganize the work plans in two lines (and specify the columns and the spaces) and then try to add another Board, he adds at the end of the first line of pages located in the middle of the document.

  Is this a software problem or I do something wrong?

  This happens even when I click on the last plan of work before adding the Board of Directors.

  Yes, it seems like Illustrator looks like all work plans on in your document and adds a new one in the upper right corner of what would be "encompassing" all plans work together:

  

  This seems inconvienient when you try to add a work plan to an organized advice network, but I think that illustrator doesn't keep track of the (somewhat arbitrary) Organization of your work plans.  In any case, good luck.

• Original file name missing after export to photoshop

  using the export feature to change a file in photoshop (German "bearbeiten in Photoshop") generates a new file, but without the name of the original file.

  Example:

  Export 'my photo 234.nef' as a tiff in photoshop image generates a file called "-bearbeitet_1.tif" (German "fun" = 'edition'). 'my image 234' disappeared.

  I tried to manipulate a token in "Lightroom 2 Preferences.agprefs" which sounds strange, but afterwords lightroom 2 wouldn't start more saying something as if I had a bad lightroom catalog.

  Any thoughts?

  In LR "preferences, external editing, how is the model name of file at the bottom of the set dialog box up? This allows to determine how the edited files are named. Looks like yours might be onto something that does not include the name of the original file.

  When you have a controlfile output restored the rman session and reconnect only to the target on the test area and not in the catalog.
  What to restore and recover the database with rman.

  (In fact it might be better if you start by saving a test database, delete the ctl, repeat and dbfs and restore the database to test...)

• 'From' name missing on the "list" Notification screen

  I have been instructed to correct a workflow customized to log entry approvals. Most of the hard stuff is done, despite that I am completely green to the Workflow. There is a nagging question that I can not solve...
  
  When a user gets their notification - one that appears on the screen "Task list" - the 'From' field is empty. I've got 'Type', 'subject', 'Sent' and 'Due' fields all appear as they are supposed to, but the 'From' is empty. When you click on the message, the 'From' field under 'history of the Action.

  mscorlib: system.io.filenotfoundexception - the exception that is thrown when an attempt to access a file that does not exist on disk fails.

  Then from the article:

  1. Do not use the .net Framework clean tool in Windows Vista
  2. Try the "sfc/scannow" command from an elevated command prompt
  3. Click Start, click all programs, then Accessories.
  4. Right-click command prompt, click run as administrator
  5. Fix again the framework (V2) with the command "update %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\ngen.exe" from an elevated command prompt

  The message came out of the blue... Has nothing to the laptop. (Works great!)

  How can I put back model and serial number in the bios? I tried F10 and CTRL + A, but it will emit beeps at me right there...

  Go into the BIOS and "Load optimized Defaults". It is reset the BIOS to its default values. If this does not work, try this:

  We try to use a customization file to set the "MQ queue manager name" on a MQ connection, but this property does not seem to be available for customization.
  
  It is not in the export of customization to create files and to 'guess' does not work either - we tried the two 'MQ queue manager name' and 'name of the MQ connection manager.

  The bug has been fixed in the next version baseline code, and a patch is available only for the 11.1.1.3 version. So if you use OSB 11.1.1.3 you can download the patch from MyOracle support. Please, go to the tab "Patches and updates", insert 10152445 as the patch number and click on the search"" button. When the results appear please click the patch number and you should be able to download it. Instructions to apply the patches are available by clicking on the button "readme".

• AppleScript to obtain the physical path of a picture in the Yosemite photos app

  In iPhoto, we had this nice XML file with the metadata for each image in iPhoto.

  In the Photos of Yosemite application, there is no file.  So, I wrote an Applescript script that loops on each folder, subfolder, album, etc. and write the details to an XML file.

  When code loops, I have:

  and I get these details:

  There are two categories of images within a library of Photos: 1) copied - no external location information stored (by default) and image is stored in the photo library and 2) referenced - only the pointers to the location of external images are stored in the photo library, and location information to real image from the file menu and context menu as file referenced in the Finder menu item slide show can be found.

  In pictures preferences: general Board, there is an import: box - copy items to the photo library. Apparently, this option is enabled by default, as it was the once Photos migrate my iPhoto library. It also means that I don't have category 2 above and the menu items are gray, because there is no location of external file stored in the photo library.
