bookmarks to keep re-organization
I have my main favorites in alphabetical order and those in the toolbar of bookmarks in my order of preference. It's the same on 4 different PCs, which are synchronized in FF.
However, whenever FF opens once the PC restarted it reorganized the bookmarks, the list main and those in the toolbar. He always re - sorts in order (but not alphabetical) and it moves all separators in the toolbar at the end. In this case the same every time and on every PC and what's happened since v16 (I am now on v18 and it's always something).
I tried to delete the 'localstore.rdf' file in the profile folder, but that didn't make a difference.
You use Sync to synchronize bookmarks?
You can check for problems with the database places.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder.

I have more trouble to organize my bookmarks in a sidebar. I want an entire page to work with like in FF3. Also, when I tried dragging the bookmarks in a folder in the sidebar, she also copied the bookmark and I had to then delete the copy. More work instead of less. Is it possible to get to organize back bookmarks on the page top Favorites menu?
It is always there, it was renamed. "Organize bookmarks" has been renamed to "show all bookmarks" in the bookmarks menu.

I have Photoshop elements 14 installed on my desktop and laptop. The photo folders are synchronized between them, but I don't mean to keep synchronized and catalogs. Looking for the location of your catalog in the menu help > system information. It's all the folder containing the database file catalog.pse14db.
It's easy to synchronize your catalog...
But...
Even if the media folder tree has the same structure, which does not work and all your files will be displayed as "offline" in the catalog synchronized. The reason is that the catalogue in computer stores the location of the media files by the full path AND the identification of the drive (internal serial number). The synchronized catalog will not find files on computer B.
So, what would be your choice?
-Store your multimedia files on an external drive and plug it alternately on both computers. No need to synchronize media files; You can even save the catalog on the external drive, no need to synchronize the catalog folder either. Downside: who does not act as a backup. You can use your sync as a simple backup to restore in the drive of origin if necessary.
-According to John R Ellis, you can assign the same serial number for both drives.
psedbtool (database of the elements of Photoshop tool)
I have not tested this, but it should work.
-The good old method of backup and restore, forgetting the 'sync' is slow, but much more secure (you have two copies over a backup). The HUGE advantage is that you can easily migrate to another computer and still another version of elements, even another OS.
-My own solution requires some fiddling with the sqlite database and a good understanding of the structure of the database. I have syncs media and catalog or via Synctoy Windows files on an external drive. I create a copy of the catalog I have change in sqlite to point to the serial number of the external drive. The catalogue of the external drive and media are available to any computer with the same version of elements. The advantage of the 'synctoy' method is that it is much easier and faster than an incremental backup in the Organizer.

logos in the bookmarks toolbar keep reappearing when I save an image
I deleted all the logos on my toolbar of bookmarks (which is far too complicated to do btw) since installing the new Firefox, whenever I have save an image from a site (that's part of my job) all these pop stupid logos - up in my bookmarkbar. When I exit and restart firefox, they are gone, but as soon as I save another image they are back once again.
I thought it was Jésus BC this arrow stupid download animation that you added in the toolbar, but I removed that and these stupid logos still reappear every time I have to save a picture.
Help would be very appreciated.

How to send a folder of bookmarks and keep it in a usable list format?
When I put all the bookmarks presented as a long and tedious list highlight my folder and sent the email. How send a copy, or export a copy of items in a folder or even to someone else in the format you see in bookmark folders or something similar? Thank you
Perhaps a long tedious list could be published with email project, Notepad, Word, paint pad or screenshots before setting for outgoing mail. We can make anything happen with a bit of creativity, imagination, Microsoft & Mozilla Firefox!

My bookmarks bar keeps disappearing unexpectedly.
When I open Firefox 5 occasionally (Windows XP SP3), on my bookmarks bar bookmarks do not appear. The Bookmarks button, however, appears. The only way to fix the bug must open a new window and close the old.

My profile on my old laptop has become corrupted and I can't log in with my regular account (admin). I would like to add and merge bookmarks former firefox to another laptop, which already has existing bookmarks. I can not simply copy and paste the profile folder as this would crush my existing bookmarks and settings. Unfortunately, I have not set up the sync on this browser feature.
Unfortunately, Firefox doesn't have good tools to merge and dédupliquant bookmarks. I will propose a roundabout way to do. Here's an overview:
(1) create a new profile Virgin (#3) in your current Firefox (see details at the end)
(2) while using the #3 profile, restore a file in JSON format to backup your old (#1 profile) system (see restore bookmarks from a backup or move them to another computer)
(3) export bookmarks restored to an HTML element in a perfect location, with a file name unique format (see Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file for backup or transfer bookmarks)
(4) exit Firefox and is reactivated in your normal profile (profile #2)
(5) file bookmarks import as HTML (see import bookmarks in HTML file)
(6) create a backup in case something is not going to step 7 (see restore bookmarks from a backup or move them to another computer)
(7) rearrange bookmarks in the folder of imported bookmarks (see https://support.mozilla.org/kb/use-bookmarks-to-save-and-organize-w...), possibly using an add-on deduplicating
Create a new Firefox profile
A new profile will be your plugins installed by system (for example, Flash) and extensions (e.g., security suite toolbars), but no themes, other extensions or other customizations. It should also have databases of completely fresh settings and cool a cache folder.
Out of Firefox and start in the profile using Start Manager > Search box (or run):
firefox.exe -P
Do not delete anything here. Any time want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog box.
Click on the button to create a profile, give it a name like OldBookmarks and skip the option to change the folder. Then launch Firefox in the new profile that you have created.
You are ready to return to the new profile and create export to HTML format.
When you return to the Profile Manager, you might be tempted to use the button to delete the profile. It's a little too easy to accidentally delete your 'real' profile, so I recommend you to resist the temptation. If you don't want to clean up later, I suggest to make a backup of all your profiles first in case something go wrong.
