After let it sit it start.

Hello

As far as I know, HP don't provide any imaging software and provide only a new HARD drive, however it is not really a problem that you are not limited to a particular drive manufacturer somehow and most likely, your other laptop HARD drive will be very well (the different cpu on your other machine has no effect).

Purely as an example, the reader at the link below would be perfect.

320 GB HDD laptop.

The procedure to replace the hard drive begins on Page 51 of your & Maintenance Guide.

Free imaging software can be found here.

Kind regards

Twice in the past four weeks, my computer would be locked up in the morning. I had to cut the power and it reboot OK. Now all of a sudden, I get a boot failure of the disk on the 2 TB drive. I'm running Windows 7 Pro - where I was before the accident.

  • I get disk boot failure when I restart my computer?

I have Windows XP on my computer.  To remove a Trojan on my system, I tried to put my computer in safe mode.  After that, all that came was a white text on a black screen.  I waited for a while, but nothing else came.  So, I turned off the computer.  After turning it back on, the computer says "disk boot failure".  She also asked me to insert the disk system, but my computer never came with the Xp disc.  It was already loaded on my computer.  To compensate for this, I bought a Windows Vista upgrade disc, but is not let me load because it is an upgrade.  Please, help me.  I'm at my wit's end.  Also, I am very computer illiterate, so that all the instructions, please be as simple as possible.  Thank you.

  • Vista 64-bit, DISK BOOT FAILURE

So I have this Acer Aspire AX3200-U3600A with Windows Vista (64-bit). Every night I turn it off and turn it back on in the morning.

About three weeks ago, I did a factory fresh reimage. Good as new.

Then about two days ago, when I turned it on, I noticed it was running extremely slow. As in, he would often freeze while I had several applications open when it froze usually never upward. So I decided to restart my computer. Big mistake.

My computer froze right after that I clicked on stop. I waited some time. Nothing. Waited a few minutes. Nope. I decided to stop it by pressing the power button. Here is where the problems begin.

When I turned it back on, I saw the bar logo and loading of Windows, and then load to black. I turned it off again with force by the power button / stop and then once more... then I got:

AMD data change... Update new data on a DMI interface!

then later clears the screen and I get:

AHCI Option ROM BIOS revision: 01.05.92 Date: 19/02/2008 Copyright (c) 2006-2008 Phoenix Technologies, LTD. Port 01: Reset Port error! Port 02:

then the screen clears again, but this time it loads from the bottom:

NVIDIA Boot Agent 249.0542 (copyright stuff... blah blah) PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable. PXE - M0F: Released Nvidia Boot Agent DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND press ENTER.

So, I try to go to Safe Mode. Well, first it loads faster. After it loads disk.sys fromwindows/pilots, he waits a while (2-3 minutes) and THEN load. However, it loads the Acer eRecovery Management Tool. I have three options: reset the computer to factory, restore the backup of the user, or output. However, the upper part, two options are gray and disabled so that the output is in blue and certainly clickable. Secure mode so obviously isn't here...

A strong thing to note: Initially when this all started, I made a start Windows Normal pressing f8 and I arrived at my office! It me logged in. I could see the icons on my files. However, my office was extremely slow as in when I clicked on the start menu, he'd wait awhile, and then load the menu with JUST the gradient, no text or icons... so as you can see... He saw my HARD drive?

Also, before anyone says, I no. plugged USB. My mouse and keyboard are not entered USB, I assure you. And it came without a recovery CD AND when I went into the BIOS, to change the BOOT ORDER, I have NOT seen a CD-ROM option. And when I tried pressing ALT + F10 to enter Acer eRecovery Management, the options of two albums have been disabled as well.

But sometimes, on startup, I get:

Windows has encountered a problem communicating with a device connected to your computer.

This error can be caused by unplugging a removable storage device, such as a USB external drive when the appliance is used, or by faulty hardware such as a hard drive or the CD-ROM drive which is a failure. Make sure that all removable storage is properly connected, and then restart your computer.

If you continue to receive this error message, contact the manufacturer of the equipment.

    Status: 0xc00000e9

Info: An unexpected i/o error has occurred.

Then I tried the last known good Configuration settings, which gives me a BSOD.

    What should I do

    Hello

This explains the reasons for this error

    http://forums.techguy.org/hardware/104472-solved-PXE-E61-media-test.html

Chances are that it is a hard failure.

Go to the Acer Web site > find specifications of hardware in your computer (hard drive) > access the Web Hard Drive from the manufacturer site > download their diagnostic software > make a Bootable disc > test your hard drive.

    See you soon.

  • Vista boot failure

    Vista boot failure:
When you start there 3 beeps (long, short), and nothing, the screen remains black, empty.  With Windows Vista Ultimate install the disk in the DVD player, nothing else.

Pre-existed freezups usb input, but only after connection, so used safe mode system restore and went back to an earlier version, which worked for a short while before the same problem reappeared.  Tried to reboot with the installation of the system disk, it almost worked, in vain.  Now I'm in the first situation described.  All hope?

    Hello

"beep" codes normally indicate a hardware problem / failure.

Read this on the 'beep' error codes:

    http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm

    http://www.pchell.com/hardware/beepcodes.shtml

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/nonworkingcomponent/HT/beepcodestb.htm

Check out the Bios in your computer starting information online from the manufacturer of your computer and use the links that I you provided with to see what mean "beeps".

If you are unable to determine the hardware problem yourself, contact the manufacturer of the computer, if under warranty.

If it is not under warranty, find a good repair shop premises to take.

    See you soon.

  • I signed up for sync on a single computer and got a code of twinning on the second computer, but now I can't make it appear the screen pairing on the first computer. Why not?

I set up the synchronization on the first computer, then got a code of synchronization on the second computer. Now I can not bring up the screen of synchronization on the first computer to synchronize all.

Try to dissociate this computer (device) and reinstall Sync.

Alternatively, you can verify the name and the password in the password manager.

    • Tools > Options > Security: passwords: "saved passwords" > "show passwords".

Your account name and password for Firefox Sync is the e-mail address and the password that you used to create this account.

Account: email address and password - the sync key: (26 characters, no hyphens)

You can find the sync account password and the key of synchronization (recovery) in the password manager on computers where an account to synchronize with a specific e-mail address has been implemented.

  • Disk Boot Failure on Pavilion a1720n

My computer froze and crashed, then went to a black screen saying Disk Boot failure Insert System Disk. When I go to start my computer it goes either directly on the screen or it starts and runs fine for about 10 minutes and goes back to a black screen, repeat the disk boot failure.

It is usually a very strong indication that your hard drive is dying. I hope you did the recovery disk set that will be required to reinstall your Windows and your software to a new hard drive.

One thing you might try is first to enter the BIOS to turn on by pressing the F10 key. Once in the BIOS, press F5 to reset the default settings then F10 to save and exit.

  • Satellite A135-S4417 - boot failure

    Hello

Recently, what action it has been generating a beep and if it stays on he will repeat this beep every 15 to 20 seconds.
However, it is now a boot failure beyond the Vista login screen and everything stops instantly.

Several attempts to start with or without battery or only connected to a power outlet and it is beyond the 'press or ... '. "screen and then stops. No beep.

If it remains beyond this screen, I get the beep as described above.
If I remove the RAM it does not show anything on the screen or beep somehow.

In all cases, that the upward light cooling fan, stay on for a few seconds, then stop, then the laptop dies or keep trying to load Windows and then shuts down immediately. If it becomes quite far as it beeps again in the same range as described above.

The wind side allows me to see the heat sink and it seems clear of debris and I had no cases of overheating.
Without no beeps error or other symptoms I don't see what is really bad or anything to verify.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

  • Try to install Windows XP and at the start of the drive I get the error message: Disk Boot Failure

    Disk Boot Failure

I recently learned that so that my motherboard compatible with my operating system, I have need to uninstall the current one and install Windows XP. I use Windows 7, so I booted from this CD and deleted all the partitions and data (nothing is important there), then I went to start my new Windows XP CD and it says "Disk Boot Failure... etc.

I changed the BIOS to boot from the CD, seeing as the other CD has worked to boot from, it doesn't seem to be a problem with my drive. I can't understand. Maybe it's a dodgy CD?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
