• Satellite Pro U400 - Vista boot failure

  My 2nd nine Satellite Pro U400 (first a HARD drive failed after 1 week!) now does not start on Vista.
  Works very well for 4 weeks with upgrade original Vist Basic to Ultimate and Office 2007.

  Today on the switch on the Toshiba bar logo (with go to Setup etc.) started then replaced by Microsoft 'bar', then replaced by the arrow of the Mouse/touchpad.

  OK, the OS crashes, but if the HARD drive would be dysfunctional, then you should be able to see the 'bar' of Microsoft.

  So for me, it looks like something wrong with the operating system and therefore the use of the recovery CD would be desirable.

  Using the recovery CD would format the HARD drive, but unfortunately I really t see any other possibilities for the laptop running again.

  Please Help - my laptop with Vista Home Basic was working without any problem when I order yesterday - on the machine from today, it goes to screen e error recovery windows that gives me the option to repair or start normally I tried them both and on the two options, it goes to the loading bar green scroll with Microsoft Lodo below and sits there - I tried to 'fix' hours and hours, but he goes no further - so then I try to ride for windows via safe mode, but it sticks to the same point - in fact, all options 'f8' do the same thing.  I what would appreciate any help that you can give as it makes me nuts!

  Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

  At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

  When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

• Vista - boot failure after installing Windows updates

  Hi, I use windows vista and for the last two days every time I shut down my computer, load 16 updates. Then when I restart my computer, it will start up repair and system restore.   I had a similar problem. The update worked for me was KB2360131, I had to hide and the rest updates went well. This is what I did:

  (1) turn off the automatic updates

  (2) set up the Windows Update service manual init

  (3) restart

  (4) delete C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution directory of the Windows folder

  5) go to the Windows Update site and search for updates

  (6) once he finds all the updates, go to the list and hide KB2360131

  (7) install the rest

• Satellite A135-S4417 - boot failure

• I get disk boot failure when I restart my computer?

• Blue screen on vista boot even safemode

  Only change I made last week is to install roxio.  I had started after that.  Also have had the problem since the week last on my url automatically redirected to other sites.  So think, it may be a virus/spyware.

  The code confirms everything you have already said - 7th with the parameter 005.

  That your drivers to work has little to do with the question of whether if they work now. They could have
  become corrupted, an update might make them unstable, other causes may force in

  First you have this problem on an external monitor too or only on the screen internal? Maybe it s is not a graphics card problem so check it with an external monitor.
