Boots system to black screen with only the mouse pointer, ChkDsk finds the same mistakes every time, but does not drive.
My system has the latest updates installed, but it has not restarted when a power failure occurred. System ran file check at startup and started to only black screen with the mouse. Sticky Keys dialog box and file sharing is just what works. System Restore find restore points, but fails with errors. System repair find anything wrong. ChkDsk /f and / r always produce the same result with about 30 files deleted from the index, and then these same files recovered orphans.
I cloned the drive to another and get the same results.
All modes of security also start to black screen. CTRL-ALT-DELETE, CTRL-SHIFT-ESC, WIN-E, etc. do not work. Only 5xSHIFT brings a dialog of the keys sticky.
Via a command prompt I can read and write files & folders on the boot partition as if nothing is wrong. Same thing with shared files on the network.
I asked about this on the forum to update and have no solutions. Could someone please help?
Thanks in advance.
BestPartyBand,
I'm sorry to hear that none of the solutions that we offered was able to solve your problem. I know how very it can be frustrating to have to start all over again with a clean system, especially with the amount of work you have put in get your network configuration. I have not found anything that could solve your problem without reformatting, unfortunately. I didn't want to point to one of the articles I sent you a link to (when you start a Windows Vista-based computer, the system may stop responding (hang) at a black screen.)
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/946532 this article talks about the corruption of system files in the $Txf directory. This corruption causes a situation of deadlock between the Transactional NTFS (TxF) and the automatic verification process. I think that is what has happened on your drive hard when the crash occurred. Here is a good article about this in detail that you might find interesting technically: transactional Ntfs and loss of data

I hope that it works for you, let us know if we can help you.

Black screen problems are extremely difficult to repair and all hotfix is usually a hit or miss
base. That there is no information on a black screen as there is just a blue screen
adds to the difficulty. Often using a restore point or Startup Repair will have no effect.

Because it begins with the same file of photos, I never see the images in files at the end.

Unfortunately, we cannot control this in Windows without constant human intervention.
I would recommend looking for software third benefit from this feature.

Receive the same message several times, and does not receive any other emails.
Using Outlook Express, I got the same email, while I can't receive any other emails of revenue due to downtime. I increased the time to 5 minutes.
The file that retains a number of messages downloaded probably has been corrupted. Remove the pop3uidl.dbx file (hidden) and see if that fixes the problem.

Won't start at all. just a black screen. Only the satrts upward on safe mode
Restore point:
Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.
Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...
Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

HP DesignJet 1000 series, a bad cable rear transport stop in the same place every time?
Hello. On a series of 1000 HP DesignJet 1050c more think that FW A.52.02, a bad cable rear transport stop in the same place every time? It stops just to the right of each start, attached photo Center. Do not know if it is directed to the left or right at the time; I asked the customer, but it has not yet responded. It is hundreds of miles away with customer. I was not there; I try to get a very good idea of what everything I need and that you need to do before I travel such a distance.
It gets the error "check printhead path type (2). Customer said that began as he tried to pass to 24 "paper roll of I think 36" roll of paper. Maybe this is related to the different movements to transport would be to manage different width, but there will be an underlying problem. (Well, I guess it does now any width.) I read that if transport stops in the same place every time when you start, it's probably one of the following:
1 necessary transport height adjustment.
2 tubes of rub excessively in the channel of tubes.
3. bad transport (Mouasher Sa'ad says that the bad capacitors once a trolley stop at the same place;) Guess it could be a bad encoder sensor but think the transport would simply jump a quarter inch or so if the case.)
Well, guess it might be something to the top with the belt too, so:
4. bad belt (once I had 1 too short and kept cause type 2 error - stop inches couple out right every time)
I cleaned and lubricated all - channel rods and tubes of cursor. It worked fine for 5 months.
Here, I simply want to exclude ideally that a bad end cable would cause traffic to stop at the same place every time.
Thanks for any input.
Paul
Usually, a bad end cable will not cause you have. It could be one of the items you listed, but could also be the encoder being dirty in this place. Most of the time it's the belt as a defect in a bad belt could stop at the same place. If the sheath is a problem most of the time it stops at the opening of the left side. Also, if the tubes most of the time you can fix a bunch of heavy clear packing on the rim tape, tubes rub against and which solves the problem.

Currently, I have Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 and have never had these problems before export. My calendar is less than 3 minutes long, but it deals with several large files. He made perfectly and it plays perfectly in the timeline. When I try to export using Media Encoder, however, it freezes at the same frame every time (which is actually a few seconds in!) then exit breaks down, while I force. I tried to export as many different codecs and the problem persists... same frame. I tried to create a new project from scratch and whisk a few titles and export that to see if it's just export anything. The new project exported very well, however, which I suppose is good news. But yes, my work on this project is very important for me and I reallllly want to export it. Help, please!

Windows Vista - blank screen with only the mouse pointer at the start - tried everything
My laptop (Dell Latitude E6500) stopped recently begin correctly recently - one morning, he froze connection so I powered it off and then on again. When he started to I only got a backlit black screen with a mouse pointer - nothing works, clicking or Ctrl Alt Delete.
So far I have tried the following:- Dell Diagnostics tool - no problems found
- Safe mode - the same thing happens in all modes of security
- Restore the system using CD of Vista - no restore point
- Repair the system using the Vista CD - no error
- Essentially, nothing to do with the Vista CD solved the problem, so I tried the forums
- I tried to rename the "Logs_bad" event logs and by creating a new "Log" folder in windows\system32\winevt\ - does not set it
- "I renamed' software ' to 'software_bad' in windows\system32\config\ and 'software_previous' in 'software', as suggested Mr. Bakir in http://www.nuonsoft.com/blog/2009/05/02/possible-ksod-black-screen-of-death-solution-for-windows-vista/, but it did not work.
- I also tried a few things with Regedit but not had any luck with doing work again.
- I tried the trick of "StickyKeys" discussed on many forums, but this does not work - I had turned it off or the computer is not grateful for entry; I do not know
- I copied explorer.exe working copies, taskmgr.exe and winlogon.exe from a broken computer work computer, it did not resolve anything.
Are there solutions more I can try? There must be something I can replace/remove/change in order to get Starter beyond this point where is seems to 'block '.Install a fresh windows isn't really a preferred option.Any help would be much appreciatedHello

Defective boot to a black screen with white cursor and DDDP errors.
I have a Pavilion h8-1020, which began to show a black screen with a cursor flashing after the initial splash screen.
I ran all the options except a complete reset utility mode. I downloaded the Dell Diagnostics Deployment Package and booted from it.
I ran the tests and got these errors
4 c 00:0522 - system Interrupt controller or device has failed
These all failed
4600:021E - SMBIOS unidentified LM78A
4600:021E - Fan1 SMBIOS
4600:021E - SMBIOS chip fan 2
I put an old HD and it starts to boot to the operating system while it recharges. It is further than he gets with the original drive.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks, BC.
