Box Office 2000 Displaying MSI repair at startup

This is going to be an easy embarrassing question I'm afraid. I'm thinapping Office 2000, which, due to the absence of specific instructions, that my ability of Googling could implement, must be quite simple.

My last attempt to follow up the instructions for Office XP, which went into the details, but whenever I have run word or excel it comes up with a repair-type area. It doesn't do this on the machine I thinapped on. I did not get any user name or initials according to the instructions.

The only other things that could have an impact on it are:

I do not use a volume license key, so she asks the application to activate.

It's be thinapped on a computer without internet access.

I'm upgrading to SP3 and install all available options. I recorded two of the dll he speaks and removed options on the language bar.

Sometimes, the Office programs will block on leaving.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Best wishes

Simon

    When I turn on my computer a pop says I need to insert MS office 2000 premium to use the program.  I don't want to use it and I am not able to uninstall without the disc!

    You can remove the popup and forget to uninstall Office or use Revo Uninstaller. To stop the popup, delete startup entries that refer to MS Office.

    Start > run > msconfig [Enter]

    This will open the System Configuration utility. Look under the Startup tab and find the likely culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, apply and OK out. You don't need to restart immediately, but next time you do, you will get a dialog box saying that you have used the utility. I think that the difficulty with myantispyware site is to know what type of malicious software that you have?

    I have this same problem on a friends laptop - I started out in a PE environment and run a couple of different recovery CD of AV companies but the problem remains. I also tried to go back to using System Restore, but it did not work either.

    On a work computer download SuperAntiSpyware Portable version from the link below save it on a USB key. Take the USB to the infected computer. Start the computer in safe mode with command prompt. Press Ctrl + SHIFT + ESC. The Task Manager opens. Click file > new task > type explorer.exe > press Ok. Navigate to the flash drive > right click > Explorer. Locate the SuperAntiSpyware file > right click and choose Run as administrator.

    I met recently a few new malwares of thugs that are loaded in safe mode effectively preventing you to download or install anything. For reasons unknown to me from the computer in safe mode with command prompt and then run taskmgr explorer.exe prevents malware to load. This method has worked several times for me this week only. • Opening Office 2000 .doc in windows 8

    How can I open a .doc created in office 2000 windows xp pro with the new computer with windows 8?

    Thank you!

    Keith

    What about office 2000 .xls, windows xp? Is there a viewer for that?

    Think education allows you to use a search engine might be in order...

    If you visit http://www.google.com/ and in the search box type in what you need (plain English - or other language you prefer) and click the "Google search" button - you will get the results that generally will lead to your answer.

    For example - I copied and pasted your real question - as you typed - in Google search and here is the result:
    https://www.Google.com/#q=what+about+.xls+from+Office+2000+Windows+XP%3F+is+there+a+viewer+for+that%3F

    The second "hit" (search results) the list is as follows:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-US/Download/details.aspx?ID=10

    Which is exactly what you need.  ;-)

    Once again - it is SIMPLY a viewer - you can not change/save.

    Oh - and just to clarify: Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows are separate product lines.  The first is a 'suite' of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, One Note, Outlook, Access, etc.) which is for the management of document and spreadsheet/database / presentation / emails & calendar/etc.  This last is what runs on a computer and allows you to run things like Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, etc.

    Hope that helps!

  • Displaying a dialog at startup

    I'm in DW CS3 for Windows. I'm writing an extension that will display a dialog at startup box. 'Extension of Dreamweaver' manual says: "If you place a command file in the Configuration/startup folder, the command runs as Dreamweaver starts." I did this. This code executes. He said, "you can also view warnings, prompts the user for more information or call the function dreamweaver. RunCommand (). ' Call Dreamweaver.RunCommand () doesn't seem to work. Can I put the same code in a command that runs after the start and it works fine, but in my startup command, it seems that Dreamweaver does not know just my calls to runCommand().

    Specifically, my startup command contains:
    Alert ('before');
    dreamweaver.runCommand ('myCommand.htm');
    Alert ('alert');

    I see the 'before' and 'after' alerts, but I do not see the dialog box defined in myCommand.htm.

    Do you have a suggestion?

    Thank you

    As a workaround, you can change your order an order for _onOpen released
    by adding the file name, _onOpen
    then set a flag you next time to not show the dialog box.

    You care to offer up what version of Windows, you are talking about but if it's Windows 7, I would right-click on the offending list and either:

    1. Remove from this list , is that the entry is in the most recent lower part / area most often used.
    2. Delete the Start Menu if the entry is pinned in the Start Menu (above the most recent / most often used).

    Hi Jeff,

    To provide the proper resolution, I would need more information on your side.

    1. What is the number of brand and model of the printer and scanner?

    2. what program you were using before you print and scan?

    I suggest to try the procedure described in the article and check if it contributes to printing and scanning.
