Hi, I have a Sony Bravia KLV-40R452A. Green light on the model continues to Flash. The TV starts, but the Menu keeps popping up.

I have reset to factory settings with the arrow upwards on the remote and turning the TV power on the back of the screen. It did not improve the issue. I changed the plug too, same result.

PS - I keep seeing that support here just redirects questions from the Asia-Pacific region at their Web site. There is no community online in Asia-Pacific. Please try to resolve my problem here. At least try.

Had a chat with Sony Online service. I am posting this here in case someone else has the same problem.

If the menu entry keeps popping up, just press and hold the menu behind the LCD (not on remote) button for 10-15 seconds until a message arrives "demo mode: Off '.

    This solved my problem.

  • Problem with the Sony Bravia KLV-32T550A color

My Sony Bravia KLV-32T550A (Serial No. 6165091) which is about one and a half years began to have problems with color. When you turn it on, it turns red and then the colors are all stripped top and blurred. After now for a few minutes, the color is back to normal, and then it goes bad again after a few minutes. An authorized Sony technician came to my place and told me immediately that this is a problem with B motherboard and it must be replaced costing me about 5500 rupees as well as Service charges. Please indicate if the technician diagnosed the problem correctly and this card cannot be fixed first to solve this problem of color instead of such a costly replacement.

Thank you for your message and welcome discussion of the user forums.
According to the description of your problem, the B-board (motherboard) is normally the root cause of the problem.

  • Satellite L300-217 - connection to the Bravia KDL - 40EX503 LCD TV

Can someone tell me what cables I need to do the above, I am a complete novice regarding this sort of thing?

    Thank you.

    Hi jonboy899,

I have the Satellite L300 and there only VGA output port. Right?
Also, I checked the features of your Bravia TV. It has a VGA input port.

This means that you can use a VGA cable to connect your laptop to the TV. These cables you can get everywhere, and they are not expensive.

If you are connecting, turn off both devices and then connect the cable. Turn on your TV and select the input VGA port. Then turn on your laptop and using FN + F5, you can switch between monitors. :)

  • KDL-52W4100 vertical line to the bottom of the screen

My beautiful Sony Bravia KDL - 52W4100 LCD TV has developed the dreaded thin blue line on-screen running vertically, from top down, about 4 inches from the right edge. I spent $2500 more than three years ago and have to say that I am VERY disappointed. I spent a lot of money on this TV waited MANY years of service. Customer support directed me to two local garage but the writing is on the wall - it seems many Sonys develop this blue line of death. Three years of life for a top of the line TV is unacceptable. I really hope Sony intensifies and that just makes me...

UPDATE: I wrote to Sony and their response was they were sorry I was not completely satisfied with my TV and recommended that I'll get it fixed. Thanks for this useful suggestion. They should be embarrassed that such an expensive product would fail after normal use of light, in only 3 years. Now only am not completely satisfied with the TV, so I'm ENTIRELY happy with their service.

  • Equium A100-306 - using an LCD TV only

My laptop has a broken LCD and I want to continue to use the computer with my Sony Bravia TV, acting as a monitor.

I connected a VGA cable between the two devices and have not managed to get the computer to display on the TV screen despite pressing all sorts of combos fn/f5. I can see the colors on the LCD broke enough to tell when I'm at the password quickly and can connect with success on the desktop.

I can't, however, recognize the options when right click on at this stage. Sometimes when I press fn + f5 / broken laptop screen is either empty or has a puree of different colors.

According to me, kind of a 'start-up blind', prompted by a user who has the same model can help. Any help would be gladly appreciated.

    Hallo

You use a standard VGA cable without adapter?

If Yes, make sure if you have chosen the appropriate TV input channel. AFAIK for VGA connector there is a channel called VGA or PC.
    Check this box!

Also, make sure that the cable is connected before you turn on both devices. Then turn on the TV and finally your laptop.

  • Can satellite A100 - I put in resolution 1280 x 768 on my LCD TV?

I have a laptop A100-784 Satellite with Intel graphic 945GM (OS vista home Basic, latest graphics driver) and a brand new Sony Bravia LCD TV (KDL-32D3000K, 16:9).

Of course, for best results, it must use a RGB cable (the above mentioned Sony model has an RGB entry). The best resolution I could get on my TV is 1024 x 768, but according to the documentation of Sony TV, this TV supports 1280x768@60Hz, which has proportions much better. I'm pretty sure that the Intel chipset supports this resolution as well (it can be found in the list of the modes supported generated by SiSoft Sandra), but for some reason, the display driver will never give me a chance to select.

Simply, when I connect my laptop to the TV, then choose "single view" (TV output only), Intel graphics driver offers only resolutions with 4:3 aspect ratio. The only match between the resolutions supported by the TV and laptop is 1024 x 768, which is 4:3 and leaves a lot of space on the two unused faces.

Is it possible (simple) to force the Intel 945GM driver to display all modes (resolutions)? Or, at least, to supply 1280x768@60Hz which is my target?

This problem is driving me crazy. I already spent a whole week trying to solve this problem, without any progress.

    Thanks for your help.

I can only give you this little trick: go on the site of intel (www.intel.com), download the latest drivers intel for your graphics chipset, then an option screen should be available.

I had a similar, but with output VGA problem and I solved it by installing intel drivers for my chipset (945GMA), it s so worthy to try it.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite P200-1EE connected to LCD TV via HDMI

I recently bought an HDTV (Sony v3000) with the intention of watching my HD-DVD on the big screen! When I log in and watch, my TV tells me that the signal is only 1080i when my TV is 1080 p. What should I do to make sure my HD-DVD is monitored at the max resolution?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hello

As far as I know that Satellite P200 can send signals only 1080i. Please check the BIOS settings. On my Qosmio laptop I can change that in the BIOS settings. Set it to 1080i and you will get a perfect picture quality.

I have TV LCD BRAVIA too and watch movies HD-DVD with Qosmio. Just activate the HDMI port and enjoy the movies.

    Hello

Have you changed any settings in the sound properties of playback devices?
I have a BRAVIA 32 LCD TV and I tested with A300-1LI and Satellite A500-157.

With two laptops, it works well but not with the default settings. What I did is to enter the playback devices and I disabled all listed devices it except HDMI digital output device.
To do this and start an audio or video file, and check again.

Please let me know if it works for you.
