Break during the "save under" for the combined PDF binders - Acrobat Pro XI

Suddenly, Acrobat Pro XI crashes ONLY when "save under" for the bindings of combined file is executed.

Conditions

  • Two or more files are combined together, sometimes Word or. Documents RTF, combined with PDFs
  • When the workbook is created, I want ", but reduced."
  • Crashing, happens once the images are being processed
  • It started a few days previously worked without crashing, but there
  • I can do a 'Save as reduced' for non-binder files
  • I can do a 'Save as reduced' AFTER 'impression' linking it to a new PDF
  • It is for all documents binding on the network or on my local machine
  • It's for all the computers on the network, then this problem is the workbook files themselves

I took action:

  • All the updates of Windows and Acrobat have been executed
  • A reboot has finished several times
  • All temporary files have been deleted
  • Tried to uncheck "Save as optimizes for fast Web pages display", no change
  • Tried to reduce 'documents in the recently used list' from 100 to 10, no change

This seems to be due to one or several pages in the documents linking themselves, I think of those with pictures on them. Once again, if I print the workbook as a new PDF and then do a 'Save as reduced' it works very well, to me I think that after the images we been reduced or pixelated when printed, it allows the "reduction of the size" to work because the images are more than "images"?

Any information is appreciated!

I had specified it is happening with the "binder" documents are created by combining RTF files in a PDF file, then try to reduce.

I had already said that this is happening with all the computers on the network, which means that several users have tried, no difference between them.

Looks like that to happen is no longer with new documents, RTF files only 4-5 do this now instead of each of them. Just documents cannot be reduced after linking to PDF, Acrobat still crashes. However, we believe that it is just these 4-5 RTF files that might have some sort of image or text which cannot be rasterized. There are other RTF size files we can work that do a bind and can then be reduced in size.

We assume that these specific documents either have a certain level of corruption or something around those who don't like Acrobat.
