Breaking the sequence of new execution

I need to be able to monitor fans of controls and temperature on the object to be measured, while the I test UUT and interrupt the main sequence until the temperature returns to the bottom. I run a new run that runs the fan control in a different sequence, and I need to pause the main sequence of the sequence of fan control. I found the command Excution.Break but that only stops the current sequence. I have to get a reference to the object of the main sequence? How would I do that? Are there other options?

Supported NOR finally got back to me with this answer. It works exactly how I needed. Thought I would add this to all those looking for a solution to a similar problem.

  • Duplicate the time codes of the sequence on new video

I have the same images of long interview in HDV and Cineform (initially I tried to edit the Cineform in CS3, now using CS5.5)

I did a lot of changes, transitions, etc. with the sequences to Cineform I'm satisfied, but I realized that my sequence settings are not correct and the images seem to look better when directly encoded from the original HDV

Is it possible that I can keep the current changes, but apply them to the clip HDV instead of the Cineform one in a new sequence: use the time codes of the cineform sequence to automatically change the HDV footage (clearly the time codes for both versions are identical)

    Thanks for the help

    Nick

There is no simple way and automated for this - basically, you talk about a workflow proxy roundabout. PR is not the best when it comes to these workflows, unfortunately.

The simple but tedious is to drag a master HDV clips to the corresponding element of Cineform in a sequence, hold down the Alt + Shift and drop it on the original clip from Cineform. This will make a game framework (using timecode) replace edit.

You can also replace each main element Cineform in the tray (a,); just right click on a Cineform clip in the tray, select replace sequences and navigate to the corresponding HDV clip. This shouldn't be too bad if your Cineform clips all use filenames HDV original; extensions, of course, be different.

You can also hack the project file XML to replace all instances of-Cineform, but that can be a little hairy (although much faster). This means your HDV and files Cineform with same file names, however. If they are not, no more than the foregoing are your best course of action.

  • The execution of the sequence TestStand in LabVIEW via TS - API: execution different times for the same sequence

Hello - the members of the Forum.

I have a problem about the execution of a TestStand sequence into LabVIEW. I created a VI that offers the possibility to choose a sequence TestStand-file and then executes the sequence using the TestStand API. The implementation is based on an example in C++-Application found the following link:

    http://forums.NI.com/T5/NI-TestStand/unreleased-references-using-engine-API-in-C/m-p/2927314#M46034

The app works pretty solid where the VI is executed the first time. The VI treats the sequence chosen in an acceptable time.

But where execution is started again, the sequence takes approx. 30 sec more than in the first case.

So far I have not found a solution and hope someones got a clue about this problem...

    I use 2013 LabVIEW and TestStand 2013.

I enclose my own VI, a sequence of the specimen with a small sample of VI, so you can reproduce the problem.

    Kind regards

  • When the sequence of process template client file is loaded for execution?

As part of a custom process template I've created, I would like to make a few changes in the sequence of the client before file called by the process template. These changes will be then be restored after the loop finishes USE (I'm changing the sequential model).

Another thread, I discovered that TestStand sequences cannot be edited structurally once they have been loaded for execution. My question is: what is client sequence template process ' for execution "?

After some research, I discovered that the sequence of the client file is not locked to prevent changes to the sequence editor until the "Reminder of the main sequence" sequence step call runs in the model process entry point. At this stage, the sequence of the client file is loaded dynamically as the module at this stage.

However, before this point, there are two places that the file of the client's sequence is used, and I want to assure you that they don't 'load the customer file for execution.  The Runstate.ProcessModelClient property is a reference to the object the client file SequenceFile and exist as soon as the entry point is called. In addition, the engine must know about the sequence of the client file to correctly call reminders of process model. Do any of these things make the movie of 'responsible for performance customer file?

It boils down to this: can I do safely from the structural changes to my file of sequence of the client during the ProcessSetup and ProcessCleanup?

According to the information I found in another post (see the comments of Eric_Crank on page 2), it is allowed. However, in this case customers were only make changes to the property Data of the RunState.ProcessModelClient. I want to assure you that I can use the TestStand API on the reference too.

Also, just FYI, I got this works. I can add steps to the sequence MainSequence customer sequence file of the group stage of installation of the point of entry of the process model via the API TestStand. I ask here if make sure that it is a safe thing to do, and that there is nothing I plan not to.

    Thank you.

    Josh,

If your sequence allows the option "optimize no concave calls this sequence", the first time the sequence run TestStand stores a copy of the execution of the sequence in a cache associated with running. As long as the sequence is in this cache you can not change, and TestStand considers that the sequence for 'run' file (see the SequenceFile.IsExecuting property). You cannot unload 'enforcement' sequence files (see SequenceFile.CanUnload). Sequences remain in the cache until it is closed. There is no way for you to remove the sequences of this cache, but you can prevent them to be added to the cache by turning off the option "optimize... ». Disabling this option should have no impact on the performance that you call the sequence only once.

  • is it safe to use a view control of sequence to display the sequence file both for execution

I have a Teststand UI written in Labview 2012.  It has a single control of sequence, and I use the ConnectSequenceView method to switch between the display just the loading sequence file and the running.  Allow me to reiterate.  When a file sequence is running, the control is connected to the execution Manager.  Otherwise, it is connected to sequenceFileView Manager.

I begin to suspect that I have questions related to this control, when I do the following.

    1. load a movie file

    2 run Single Pass

    3. the execution ends

    4. unloading and Release sequence file

5 load a different sequence file

    6. run single-pass

    7 Labview crashes

    Am I missing a step?

    Thank you

    Kevin

So it seems the crash of Labview, I mentioned in the original post is unrelated to the joint use of display of the sequence control.  However during my troubleshooting, I noticed that I was missing cut from a point of view of control stage before connecting the other view.

And for the record, I think that there are many things wrong with the architecture used in the complete example, but there also many too many features for what to.  Just need a simple "press a button" and "run a test" for operators.  Everyone uses the sequence editor.

All right.  Thanks for the comments.

  • Record the sequence as a new independent project in first Pro CC.

Hello. I have a project of first Pro CC with several sequences. I want to save one of these sequences as an independent project, but can't find a way to do it. Can someone please help?  Thanks in advance!

  • New sequence - drag the icon from the dialog box new sequence

    I work with AVCHD shot in 1080 30 p.

If I create a new sequence by using the 1080 p AVCHD 30 preset, I get a red line at the top of my sequence indicating that there could be problems that made reading would set.

If I create a new seqence dragging a clip MTS in the folder of a new element, there is a yellow line at the top of the sequence, indicating that there is no rendering required.

I checked the settings of the sequence. As expected, the sequence created through the sequence settings dialog box is on "square pixel 1080 p AVCHD" in Edit Mode and the "no fields (progressive scan)" for the fields. But the sequence created via the shortcut drag-and - d├⌐poser is set to the Edit Mode "Desktop" and the "upper field first" setting for the fields.  The editing Mode and settings fields are the only differences between the two sequences.

I use a Panasonic AG-HMC150 and shooting at 1080 30 p. The AG-HMC150 uses the AVCHD format and the MTS file extension. My system does not have a taken Adobe supported GPU. I am sure I used the setting of 1920 x 1080/30 p on the camcorder.

I also shot clips by using the 60 720 p setting and the same thing happens. The sequencing method drag - déposer creates sequences on the Office and upper field first.

If my clips were somehow 30i, the method drag - déposer should create a sequence with "square pixel 1080 p AVCHD" in Edit Mode. But in both cases (1080 30 p and 720 p 60) Editing Mode is the office.

    Jeff Sengstack

But who can ask the question: why the Pro P bad interprets AVCHD video?

This is a bug - pure and simple. There is no other reason than that. This exists in CS5 and CS5.5 (assuming that you are referring to AVCHD 1080 p 30). I've not seen it work its interpretation as a progesive - with 720 p 60 - for me, so I'll take your word on that.

Report it here: Adobe feature request/Bug Report Form

In the meantime, just as progressive footage after importation and continue as you would otherwise.

Tips for the smooth search and * lossless * import/ingest footage in PPro CS5 iphone4.

You import it. that's all. First will (or should) use the file in native mode, so no need to do anything out of the ordinary.

To create a sequence for it, simply one of the clips slide the button new item at the bottom of the project Panel. a new sequence will be created that matches the sequence. Edit now...

  • Break the RAID and the displacement of the OS to a new hard drive

    Hello

I have a MSI GT683r laptop that is configured with two 500 GB Hdd that are configured in RAID 0. I wanted to disable Raid so I could separate my windows OS of my alternative OS on two different hard drives. Im a student, so I have lots of important programs and documents on my PC right now and I was wondering how can I mirror/clone/transfer my exisitng OS (as part of the RAID 0 stripe) and move it to a single hard drive. There are some caveats to this and how to go to that topic.
Thank you very much in advance

RAID 0 distributes all your files on both drives. Break the RAID and you have data or programs, not even a bootable OS. So you have to backup your data before breaking the RAID.

To preserve your current operating system and transfer it to one of your readers courses will require using a 3rd hard drive to clone the current operating system from before the breakup of the RAID, so that it can then be cloned to one of the original disks.

It will not be possible if you store more data on RAID 0, that can be accommodated on a single disc. With your drives, if your current RAID 0 (maximum 1 to) has more than 500 GB stored, this cannot settle on one of your hard drives of 500 GB.

  • TestStand 2014 F1 Patch removes the report itself after execution of finishing

    Hi all

today I installed the patch 2014f1 TestStand and after that, I recognized that TestStand removes my reports of ATML5 by itself after execution of finishing.

I'm active On-The-Fly Reporting and store reports in different places for each sequence. This place, I determine in the PREUUT callback.

During execution, I see that the report is generated exactly at the specified location, but if the execution is complete they will be removed immediately. I don't know why?

Do I have to remove the f1patch? Someone at - it the same problems?

I will be happy if someone has a suggestion what to do.

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

I created a sample file to show the effect (see attachment). I think I found the problem and it's my fault.

I have seen that it is me who deletes files (SetReportPath.vi). Before you begin the statement I want to erase the reports directory.

When I work with my custom GUI LabVIEW (uses parts of the SimpleUserGUI-example of TestStand, singlePass-execution) everything works fine. The SetReportPath.vi removes the old reports and after the execution of this new report remains in this directory. PreUUT-reminder, therefore, seems to be executed only once. The same thing happens if I use TestStand SequenceEditor for the execution of the sequences and use there "SinglePass.

When you use the SequenceEditor TestStand to perform sequences in Mode TestUUT the new report is deleted after that first Test USE ended and I click on stop in the USE Information-dolls. I think the PreUUT callback is called here and SetReportPath.vi deletes my report. This seems logical.

With this routine I'm working now for two months and I noticed that the "deletion" just after the installation of the Patch TestStand2014f1. So I think that there are some changes by calling PreUUT-reminder, but I'm not sure. Maybe you can check this.

    Thank you!

  • Get the context of the sequence of other connectors (active) in the batch processing model

TestStand 2014 - model updated the batch

    LV2014

System controls an environmental Chamber and doing trials on 4 of the UUT.  Room Enviromental is the shared resource and is controlled by the synchronization of thread only lot.  A UI TempMonitor of Labview (also synchronized lot) pops up, until you reach the target temperature and soaking time is over (so you can monitor returns to the House and see the amount of time remaining.  It all works fine in the system of warnings in.

Now, there is a new requirement to take permanently UUT s to ensure that they remain in the State during the temperature ramp and soak period.  The simple answer is to integrate this track in TempMonitor UI because it has access to all relevant data pads.  However, I would need to do an end run around traditional return since it is only run by one of the four (up to).

My thought is that if I had access to all active sockets sequence contexts, I could ask them their index and State, follow up and write the results to réécrirait a local variable before leaving the user interface.  The only thing that prevents me from going forward, it's that I don't know how to get the engine to give me the sequence for each Active socket contexts (0-3 which may be disabled via the setting ContinueTesting false instead of disable flag, it is a product of use pass 3rd batch of party model, so the executions of people with disabilities are marked as completed when running rather than wait).

Or, Alternatively, how inspect all executions and to determine what decision he belongs (if necessary, because my data acquisition engine runs in its own, hidden, execution).

    Thanks for any help,

    Mike Webster

Actually, I was looking for a way to get the SequenceContext for the other active sockets that launched the TempMonitor GUI, so I could put results in the other sockets directly.

However, I gave it, and instead I am launch the GUI TempMonitor in its own thread and have each socket to monitor the status of USE on its own with a separate VI until what the ramp / soak temperature is how the GUI will highlight Boolean StationGlobal that triggers the individual to continue.  More complicated, but also in the spirit of TestStand to things, I think.

  • Detect "arrested" call of the sequence status

    Hello

I use TestStand 2012 and one of my sequences is a bunch of sequence calls to other sequences.

Each call is made using the "use new run" and wait for execution ends before the next step.

I use this option because I like having different reports for each sequence.

However, I still would like to capture what call has succeeded or failed in my main sequence.

To do this, after each call, I have a statement whose status expression is:

    (Find (RunState.PreviousStep.ResultStatus, «Passé», 0, True, False) > = 0)) ? 'Past': 'failed '.

The problem I find is that when one of the sequences I call ends in the middle because of an error in the object to measure which does not allow me to continue his tests, the main sequence gets the status of "success."

So, when I see the 'success' in my report of main sequence, I still open the various reports to ensure that it was passed.

If anyone knows a way around this?

I tried to change the expression of the State of the call sequence step, but it is a read-only field.

    Thank you in advance,

    Leandro

OK, that makes sense.  Yes, when you call a sequence in a new run you can store an object reference.  Store everything in a local variable.  Then you can look at the State of this object reference.  Even if you have to play with it because if execution is gone I don't know what state you will get.

Let me know if you have any questions on this subject.

    Hi htnicolas,

Two possible options to control the order of execution are:

    (1) use the structure of the sequence. (I guess it's preferable)

    (2) pass a parameter of a Subvi to another. Not sure whether it is advisable or not, but I spent one Subvi to another error to control the front execution order.

    Hope that helps a little.

Actually the structure of the sequence is the least preferred method to apply the operation.  Data dependence is preferred (using the error string)

LabVIEW is a language of stream - for you new guys this means that a block of code can if run as soon as all its inputs are available it does not matter what block which is a sub.vi, a business structure, a loop of what anyone with a boundrary that you can wire an input value.  Without dependence of data there is no easy way to determine what is happening in what order and LabVIEW will even go up to run a greater number of them AT the SAME TIME that you have available cores.  (Multithreading is easy in LabVIEW)

It has been that the code would run from the back to the front, but many things have changed with the new compiler and optomizer, so this is true if the code is changed during compilation.

  • can see us line numbers next to each step in the sequence file?

    Hello

I have a file of sequence having 600 steps. I would like to know is there any option to the test to set number for each step in the sequence of line editor so that it is useful for the review.

    Example:

    1 Action1

    2 Action2

    ............

    600 Action600

    Kind regards

    Krishna

    Krishna,

If you want just to know the index of a step, this information is displayed at the bottom of the sequence editor in the status bar.  It shows you how many steps there are in the sequence, how you have selected and the index of the selected steps.

It is also possible to display the information in the view of the steps in a column, if you are ready to create a new column.  Follow the instructions in this KB to see how to create a new column:changing the properties of columns in the viewport of execution TestStand sequence editor.

One of the types of columns is Index. Just set your column of this type and you'll see step index as shown below.

  • Between key frames break the Bézier handles

Hi there, for the first time post. I'm really hoping to get an answer on this, I searched everywhere for an answer and found no one yet. So, when I create a mask (tell something rotoscoping) and I place a keyframe at the beginning of the sequence, then I place a new image key and Rotoscoping at the end of the sequence, then I try to rotoscoping between two keyframes, most (not all) the Bezier handles break so that they are are more related to each other. I want to be able to the keyframe between two key frames and all the Bézier handles permanently connected. I don't know if it's a preference thing or a bug or what, but it's DRIVING ME CRAZY. Having to move the two Bézier handles when they are broken in rotoscoping is like having to make double the quantity of work. I'd love for the handles stay connected until I actually tell them to separate. Please help me. Please, I beg you.

Also, you can see how it goes! All you have to do is open AE, create a new layout, create a new solid layer, create a mask with Bezier handles and button mask at the beginning of the model path and then move the handles Bezier path at the end of the model as you're rotoscoping something, then go in the middle of the model and try to move the handles. TADA! Most of them broke now.

I tried this on CC 2014 and CS6. Both do the same thing. I also tried it on another machine of people.

Thank you very much for listening to my rambling! Thank you even more if you can help me solve this problem!

It's all in how you use the tools. For rotoscoping, most of the time you will find it is more easy to use traces of Rotobezier but for traces of Bezier technique is basically the same. Use the pen tool to do all your repositioning. Do not add summits in the that you animate. Use Alt/Option keys and Ctrl/Cmnd to change the selection feather (black triangular arrow head) tool, group selection small white arrow (alt/option) to convert vertex. Feel free to use multiple masters to facilitate rotation. Do not hesitate to stabilize (no chain stabilize) the images to facilitate rotation. I also recommend doing your roto on a solid color rather than images. The solid color to multiply the value or screen sho you can see through it, and then use it as matte when finished. It is much easier. Check out this short video on the technique:
