Bridge CS3 does not start

For the first time, bridge will not be in service, either from CS3 or areas of XP programs at startup. I downloaded and inrtalled the Bridge CS3 2.1.1 update and it did not help. I get the Message: the application failed to initialize properly (Oxc0000022). Click OK to finish. Please help if you can, thanks. Phil

You need to reset your preferences.    Hold down the crtl + shift + alt keys and start photoshop.  You will be a "Remove Adobe PS settings file" window.  Click Yes.   For detailed instructions, see FAQ on the right side of the main page of the forum.

To reset the preferences in bridge CTRL key hold and launch Bridge.   You get a reset window, choose all 3 options.

Your may need to perform one or both, didn't know exactly where your problem lies, but try the bridge option first.

    Found the answer - go - go to the process - task manager find Bridge cs6 - click on end process. Bridge works now - I need to do this each time that... (win 7 64 bit) :)

    Same fixed.  At executed license repair tool, Adobe - Adobe licensing repair tool, and it fixed the problem.

  • Bridge CS4 does not start

    Forgive me, but I'm new to Photoshop.  I just installed CS4 Extended and tried to charge toward the high bridge.  It freezes immediately. CTRL-ALT-DELETE will return me to Windows.  I checked the other posts and have done the following:

    Update video drivers

    CS4 11.0.1 update

    Bridge opened in CS4 - gel

    Bridge opened with pressed CTRL and reset - gel

    CS4 has worked without any problems.

    System Specs:

    Windows XP (Service Pack 3)

    Processor AMD Phenom 9950 Quad 2.6

    4 GB of Ram

    NVidia GeForce GTX 260

    Any ideas?

    And HERE! I was in the section Support Norton and noticed a task for Norton does not not with programs that access the internet.  The short list has not designated an Adobe product, so I downloaded the patch anyway.  AND IT WORKED! I don't know how or why, but the bridge starts without problem! I almost cried... lol! I will post this info on the main Board with the link to Norton for everyone!

  • Bridge CS3 does not show images

    Today Bridge CS3 partially stopped working.  Images are not displayed in the contents window, but this is not consistent.  It happens with only selected records.  Shows data under filters the data folder.  If I try to open (by clicking on) an non-existent image in the contained window, PS or Camera RAW opens for this image.  I have an internal HD and 3 external drives from LaCie.  Copy a folder assigned to another HD or on the office sometimes works but only intermittently.  All permits, etc. for the files are the same, read/write permissions granted and all the rest the same.  Sometimes the files previously open do not open at a later date.

    I tried restarting the computer and the bridge, no difference.  Two events prior to the problem.  I installed the latest Apple security update and the new update of Adobe Reader.  Except that nothing particular occurred.  I also use Lightroom2 which works OK.  The image are in the files OK, open in PS, etc..  They just do not appear in Bridge.

    My computer skills are average, since Photoshop 6.0 user, taken a number of workshops of PS to SFW and Maine and I am competent using the program.  It's above my head. Help.

    Menu Tools > Cache > purge Cache for folder

    Sounds like a Cache issue.  Tried to purge the Cache for the wrongdoer or the files in the Tools menu of Bridge.

    Bridge 2.x (CS3) was and remains the worst piece of software ever published by Adobe or any other major software developer.  He should be set free by Adobe, but, shamefully, it wasn't.

    Fortunately, bridge 3.x (CS4) is much better.

    It worked fine, then this morning CS3 launch failure. I tried to run existing documents and the icon of the application; It seems to start then disappears after a second or two. No error message.

    Short update to CS5 (which means I will need to upgrade to Mac OS 10.4.11, which means I'll need my G4 upgrdae, etc.) any other suggestions?

    System Preferences > print & fax > make sure that you have printer selected in this list?

    Clear Cache

    Remove the users\ (username) \library\preferences\com.adobe.mediabrowser.plist directory

    Permissions

    Run applications > utilities > utility permissions and repair the disk.

    Download onyx apples site corresponding to your version of the OS and make the cleaning tab.

    Have you recently added any strange fonts, which can be altered?

  • Dreamweaver CS3 does not start on 64-bit computer

    I just bought a new desktop, Acer M7300 and upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. (I also have exprerienced the same prome with Vista Home Premium).

    When I start Dreamweaver, nothing seems to happen. When I checked in the Task Manager there is a process that has caught about 40 m of memory.

    I tried to uninstall/reinstall with a new download. I also deleted all files remaining after uninstall.

    I tried to run administrator and various versions of XP compatibility

    I ran the Acer recommended in the FAQ updates.

    He has not got to the point where it installs the personal .dat files so no need to seek bribery there.

    Well it's certainly not a performance problem.  Have you tried running DW in XP compatibility mode?

  • 7 does not start with a connected external Western Digital hardrives.

    I have two external hardrives WD, connected to a pc to the bridge under windows7.  When the hard drives are connected, Windows7 does not start.  It hangs on the black screen.  Without the disks attached, it starts very well.  Anyone know what I can do to not having to pick up leads outside whenever I want to start?

    Use Windows Update to install the update from Western Digital Technologies WD SES device released by Microsoft in January 2011.
    My system hangs is no longer with USB Legacy Support set to 'Auto '.

    My config is a stand-alone 1124N running 12.4 configured through CLI. Joined the config I've built so far.

    Due to the fact that this AP does not comes with a power adapter and I have no power injector and the only power I have is from an ASA 5505 that I don't want to reconfigure currently, I can't launch the GUI, the CLI so is my only option.

    Is someone can you please tell me why radio 1 does not start?

  • Windows 7 printer spooler does not start

    just my printer spooler does not start in Windows 7.  I received a message that the spooler wasn't running when I tried to use it today.  I used the printer for a few days. "net start spooler" fails from the administrator command prompt.  I checked that the CPP is running.

    I installed SP 1 yesterday with success, but I went back to the restore point, but still, the spooler does not start.

    The system acts as the spooler is missing.

    How can I solve this problem?

    I would like to check the status of the Services.

    Click on the Start button and select Control Panel, administrative tools, Services. Locate bridge end RPC Mapper in the list. Check that he started and that the startup type is automatic. If it is not set to automatic, right-click and select Properties, general tab. There is a box after the startup type. The options are available in a menu drop-down by clicking on the down arrow to the right of the box. Make the change and click apply and then click OK. Restart the computer and verify if it has started.

    Repeat the procedure for DCom server process Launcher.
