Bridge import is not in Premiere Pro

In CS5.5, I opened Adobe Bridge through the application of Premiere Pro to browse and import video files. When I double-clicked on the selected file, it opens Quicktime Player rather than import media into first that it should have.  What could be the problem?

Hi Schonk5,

According to the documentation here, this should work: using Adobe Premiere Pro | Transfer and import of files

You can file a bug? http://Adobe.LY/ReportBug

  • Question about importing video footage in Premiere Pro

I'm new to Premiere Pro and have a question about it. I need to move all my videos on my new computer (Windows) from my old computer (iMac running iMovie). Where should I store my images so I can access inside Premiere Pro? I just need to store everything on a hard drive, and then create inside Premiere Pro projects when I need to import images in, or should I create a 'library' to store all my movies in? Setup bridge would be another beneficial way to view my videos (I use Lightroom for my photo library)? I'm just trying to discern the way I need to store and organize everything in order to get started with Premiere Pro. Thank you!

Premiere Pro has no capability of database for the media in general, only in a specific project. 'Import' is not like in Lightroom, it does in PrPro is tell her where to look for the media while working on this specific project.

So... you need create your materials on a particular disc, presented in a way that you can find them in a folder structure you design.

A typical use of PrPro spreads parts on several disks. OS/programs on the system drive, a disk each cache PrPro & cache of database files; preview files; and project files. Media probably on another drive and exports on a final drive.

Access the disk cache & cache database files, preview files and project files are the two ways of reading & writing, in addition to being constant. Multimedia files are used unalterable and exports only Scripture, their connections can be a little less robust.

  • No text no not in Premiere Pro

I created a slide show in the first Clip and added a few slides of text. The project settings are all verified - that is to say fade in, out, crossfade, movement. The text is visible as expected when I saved the film.

Then, I used Edit in Premiere Pro and opens the project in Premiere Pro. However, even if his script displays text clips where planned, there is no text in them and previews of movies with background color during these periods. Double click on the text element takes me into a text editor, but the text is not present (for example it is not black text on a black background).

    Any ideas?

    John

    Hi John,.

Your message led us to the discovery of a bug in the Exchange with Premiere Pro. Namely, if the title text contains a 'special character' (e.g., ampersand), then the first fails to import the entire title. To determine if this is the problem, please post the exact text of a title that is displayed without text in Premiere Pro.

In addition, exactly which versions of the Clip and body are you running?

  • Import. MXF in Premiere Pro files

I have Premiere Pro CS6 on a Mac, and I'm trying to import. MXF files of a F5 Sony directly in the project. What is Premiere Pro CS6 intended to support. MXF natively, and if not, what is the process to import in my project?

I found finally get around it!

.. for anyone else who has trouble!

You need to download the Apple's ProRes codec pack:

    Formats of video Pro 2.0.1

(You cannot install this without going through a ProApp, then you also need to download http://www.timdoug.com/unpkg/ and follow the steps in this video to decompress the content).

However, this is where I got stuck.

You must copy and paste individually each .component and .bundle file in the unzipped contents and paste them into the library / result of the Quicktime file that will give you the following:

4 hours of searching, for once, comes to a positive end.

I can now start my work day!

  • Can choose 5.1 in hearing CS6 for surveillance, but not in Premiere Pro CS6

    System: Z820, Win 7 Ultimate x 64

Audio: Creative SoundBlaster Recon3D PCIe, Altec Lansing 5.1 speaker system

    SW: Master Collection CS6

I use Premiere Pro CS6 for some time now, but only for stereo video projects. I recently started working on a short film and necessary 5.1 Surround sound as well. I created a track 5.1 surround to the AU and were able to control the sound and the surround panning effects in AU during development. Here is the Audio parameters and mapping the chain, I used to get my 5.1 working so I could control:

    Untitled-2.jpg

As can be seen, I chose the default Ms Device Class here, and everything seems fine. I have 6 channels identified and mapped in the right corners. I also confirmed that my title of master in AU is 5.1 Surround. I exported a 5.1 WAV and it imported to the RA, in a session of 5.1 surround, confirming that the track where landed the WAV file and the captain are both 6 channels (and even if the order is displayed differently, the content correctly mapped from UA in Pr).

Now, my fun began. When I followed the audio Pr, I mean only stereo. So, I check my channel mapping in Pr, as shown below:

    Untitled-3.jpg

As can be seen here as well, I chose the sound 'default' first Pro WDM. I learned that the WDM is a newer version of MS and encapsulates all the functionality of Ms. I don't know why in the use Mrs. and Pr WDM. However, as shown, with WDM chosen, I have that 2 channels in the dialog mapping to work with, not the 6 I (and was in AU). I can't will produce these other four channels.

As seen in the fall down captured in the screenshot above, I also ASIO4ALL installed, but shows too only 2 channels in the Pr and the AU. Interestingly, when I move the mouse over the selection of the speakers in the control panel of ASIO4ALL, it indicates there are only 2 channels (but says that there are 6 INPUT channels). Creative SBZ series ASIO option is not better, offering only 2 channels.

So I went to check my system settings, which are all shown below:

    Untitled-1.jpg

As seen above, Windows knows y 5.1 surround on the system, and the Test available in the box on the left bottom proves that each speaker is configured and working properly. Hearing knows as 5.1 is available on my system and use it correctly, as described above. However, Pr refuses to acknowledge this fact and therefore, I am unable to monitor projects 5.1 surround on my system. If the AU neither Pr worked, then I would mark it down as driver or the sound card, but as an Adobe product problems correctly uses the audio system and the other is not, it leads me to believe that it is Pr that is at fault.

So, my question is the following: why Pr won't recognize my as to the fact 6 output channels?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    See you soon,.

    Shane

I finally got an external audio interface (MOTU UltraLite MK3), and I can see NOW all channels in Pr and to the. So it seems that it WAS the Creative Soundblaster card and it has the drivers (32 vs 64, or something similar) which prevented one or the other of Pr or AU to see the surround channels.

  • Media Encoder does not from Premiere Pro

I'm having issues export from Premiere Pro - I've had enough of queue through Media Encoder so I can move on to the next edition, but when I select the queue and Media Encoder opens, it does nothing - just sitting there with "not currently Encoding" rather than import the data to export.

    Help?

    • Adobe Media Encoder, 6.0.2.81
    • Installed as other products CC Ps, Pr, Id, Lr, AI, etc.
    • I ran Adobe Updater but no update available for me.
    • Mac OS X 10.7.5 (Lion)
    • I use Adobe Media Encoder via a subscription to creative cloud
    • Project 6 minute film shot on the Sony (AVCHD) FS700 and Premiere Pro exports
    • No error message, just no enforcement action
    • Have not seen the problem before that - most of my work is Canon 5 d MK III vi, so maybe it's a problem of Codec Sony? Although I exported the images from the camera before...
    • Apple MacBook Pro 17 ",
    • I use acceleration GPU of Mercury Playback Engine in Premiere Pro

    See you soon

Finally got fed up and rang Adobe (if all else fails...)

Member of the open video Support team my library folder (Go\Go to folder...\~/Library/) and then went into \Preferences\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder\ and changed the folder called 6.0 to 6.0old (i.e. rename it to something else), then click queue in Premiere Pro and the project successfully opened in Media Encoder and was able to start coding.

I hope this helps someone else suffers from the same issue!

  • Import of projects from Premiere Pro 2.0 in first CS5.5 - bad results

    Hello people,

I'm planing to upgrade my Premiere Pro CS5.5 2.0. I try the test version that I like very much.

But I have problems when I try to work with my old projects.

Indeed I can import (copies of courses) in the CS5.5 whithout any problems. But all the sequences that once consisted of many clips and titles are now only a single strip of monolytical in the timeline panel. This is the whole movie, but no clips or other components are more visible.

I need to see everything as it was during development, not only something like the final version.

I read several threads in this forum on open issues / inport. But they all sounded like they concerned about more basic steps.

I can do imports, but the result is poor.

Does anyone know the thing I have to apply - or is that really what Adobe calls "import"?

    Best regards to you all

    Trombach

Double click on the sequence imported into the timeline panel. As they have been published, which will open the timeline with all the clips.

When I import it into Premiere Pro CS4 and tried to play. I can hear the audio, but the video does not play.

I tried to install K-Lite Codec Pack but still the same.

I used Gspot and it is said that codecs are installed.

Hope someone can help out me.

Have an installed CODEC is no guarantee that it can use to change an NLE program. This ARTICLE goes into detail.

As John T., two popular versions of the MJPEG CODEC are the Morgan, or the MainConcept, but your DSLR could have come up with exactly what you need - but you may need to look on the included DVD. Camera mfgrs. Tweak often their particular and especially with the MJPEG CODEC CODEC. Who should be included, but it could be a separate facility, it can install with the driver for the camera or it could install with editing/organizing software. See this ARTICLE for a little more detail.

  • External hard drives not appearing is not in Premiere Pro Media Browser

Hi all!  My external drive are not displayed in Premiere Pro... and Yes, they worked very well yesterday.  The internal drives both appear, but the external drives are not accessible.

At first, I thought maybe it was the reader (a new USB 3.0 which worked yesterday)... I tried to change the cable, change the disk, even a USB 3.0 drive change to a drive FW 800.  Doesn't appear on my desktop, as well as in other applications (including the 'other' edition platforms and After Effects) etc... but none are appearing in Premiere Pro.

FWIW, I tried in the first Pro CC as well as Premiere Pro CS6.  I tried to restart the computer, creating new projects, hold down the option key while starting the first, using CS repair of digital rebellion... all to nothing does not.  Any thoughts?

My system is a MacBook Pro (late 2011), 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7 with 16 GB of Ram, Mac OS X 10.8.5 equipped

Thanks in advance for any help.

    -Sue

This is how the OWC drives are formatted with their software. I backed up my external drive and reformatted with utility disk (mac). The car worked fine after that.

  • Why can not download Premiere Pro Creative Cloud?

Is not in the Application Manager and if I try to download the trial online, it takes me directly to the account of my creative cloud. If I try to download from here the Manager application will display but will not download anything!

    Hi 0kmin3,

Versions of Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects CS5 and later Windows require a 64-bit Windows edition. This requirement applies to the stand-alone versions of applications. It also applies to the components of Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium and Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection 5 and following.

You cannot install or run Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects CS5, and then all the following operating systems:

32-bit editions and 64-bit of Windows XP Edition family or professional

Editions 32-bit of Windows Vista Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, Ultimate or Enterprise

32-bit editions of Windows 7 Starter, Home Premium, professional or ultimate edition

  • import Avid rushes into Premiere pro 5.5

    Dear all,

A digital editor 16 strips on Avid Media Composer and we need to work this project on Premiere Pro 5.5. I tried to import MXF files and it works but no audio.

    My questions are:

Is it safe to import (drag and drop)? I have problems in the future if the project is large? or when exporting?

How can I import the audio files?

    Thank you very much.

    And really thanks Adobe!

The problem is that Avid creates OPAtom style MXF files (IE species video & audio are stored in MXF files separated, as opposed to OP1a (such as typical Sony XDCAMHD files)).  So if you import each file, you could get parts (IE each audio/video as a separate item), but then you'd be stuck trying to group the clips manually.

You * might * be able to get the files to be imported correctly if you export the abnormal analysis result of Avid & bring that - with a little luck, the individual media files must be correctly referenced in clip objects.  Give that a try...

  • Import a saved in Premiere Pro & audio Skype call going out of sync. Help, please!

Everytime I try and import a clip he gets out of sync, but if I open the file in quicktime, its perfect format?

(Not sure why this answer was initially rejected by the moderators, but try again.)

A solution that has worked for us:

[EDIT] I do NOT work for all the companies included in this solution, nor what I receive any type of compensation on their behalf I record software and the steps that we used to solve the problem of the original poster. [END EDIT]

Skype Call Recorder (Ecamm) has 4 built-in splitter/converter apps (you have to look in the folder "Movie files" to find them). We used apps to split recorded Skype video calls in 2 separate 'conversations' and then used a converter free online (http://www.online-convert.com/) to convert the talks MP4s. Once the MP4s were imported into Adobe Premiere audio perfectly aligned with the video.

    Hope this helps someone.
